Overall, not a bad experience. When I called to discuss options for kegs, guy wasn’t the friendliest but definitely not unfriendly. Delivery dude was a bit surly, but nothing overtly unpleasant or rude. He forgot the ice, but went back to get it quickly with no complaints. Also, an issue with refunding the deposit for the keg was also handled well, although I did get the sense that I would have never seen the refund at all had I not contacted them a couple of weeks after the rental to get the process started. All in all, I’d definitely use this company again even though it wasn’t a perfect experience because it was still a «pretty good» experience overall.

Been showing up at least once a week since I’ve been in Brooklyn. The prices aren’t outrageous and the selection is very good. The staff is friendly and conversational and occasionally there’s a big lazy dog there that makes the place feel like home. Of all the places in the area to buy beer you can take home, I like this place the best.

No more CO2 tanks here, bummer. They still have a great beer selection, but it looks like we will have to go to Queens to get gas.

Best beer store in the city, hands down. Reasonable prices. Fantastic selection. Friendly and unpretentious staff that will help you find a great brew. Love that they are in my neighborhood!

A friend and I showed up a little before closing time on a Sunday (annoying, I know)
but the folks working really did not mind at all and let us taste as much beer as we wanted :)
Aside from superb staff, the selection is broad… I’m a beer fan not a connoisseur, so I wasn’t too familiar with most of the brewers but I’d love to go back and try the different draft and bottle options that seem to rotate frequently.

Awesome selection of beer @ the bed stuy beer works. When the Bell’s first started distributing in NY, it was extremely difficult to get the Hopslam. I called everywhere and they were all out of stock. However, Bed Stuy beer works had some in stock and I quickly made my way out there and snatched up some for my husband. He was nice enough to share the beers with me.
Second time, my husband was looking for the Firestone velvet merkin. We called and they had only one in stock. They were nice enough to put it on hold and we quickly made our way to retrieve that oh so nice velvet merkin. This time, I don’t think he will be nice enough to share the beer with me.
Tips:
— Call to see if they have a beer in stock. They are pretty good about letting you know over the phone.
— they do growlers. If you check in on Unilocal,$ 1 dollar off.

Tremendous selection of beer that they are constantly updating. Love the rotating options they have for filling various size growlers or jars to take home (I believe 64oz, 32oz, and 16oz). They stock options from breweries coast-​to-​coast and have an excellent selection of specialty brews.
I find the staff stuck up in that annoying hipster sort of way. That said, they are helpful when needed and with the amazing selection of beer and reasonable prices a 5 minute walk from home, I’m definitely a fan!

Best selection of craft beers I’ve found this close to my apartment. So glad I finally made my way here! I was specifically looking for a variety of craft beers, particularly local and the staff here helped me a lot and were super friendly! There’s nothing I love more than people giving me their opinions on good beers. If you’re looking for bud lights you can get that somewhere else for probably cheaper and more convenient locations. But if you’re looking to spice it up and try something different they have a decent selection.

Bed Stuy Beer Works is a beer lover’s paradise — they have a wide selection of beers and ciders from all over the world, including my beloved Strongbow cider and Lindemans lambic (though not in the cassis flavour).
The staff are very friendly and the prices are super competitive. Bonus: this place is literally a couple of blocks away from the apartment, so we know where to go next time we want something that can’t be found at the local bodegas.

They’re very friendly and they have EVERYTHING. And if they don’t have it they’ll order it for you.

I just discovered this store last night, it is awesome! They have a really great variety of local, national and imported beers. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly. Definitively will come back!

No more needing to hunt for a good beer selection in Bed-​Stuy.
Since they recently opened in August 2013, I wanted to support them so I took a few flyers and left them in our building lobby, about a half hour later there was only one flyer left.
