238 Lumiere

Very pleased with Lumiere in Park Slope. On September 17, 2015, I bought a beautiful leather bag (and other leather items) created by the company «mywalit». 3 months later the strap broke away from the bag. I was so surprised and sad. A well made bag should not have such a mishap within 3 months, especially since I was so careful with not putting much in the bag… it seemed quite delicate. Peggy and Megan who run this charming shop that has beautiful, well made products, were both supportive so I requested that the bag either be repaired or replaced. They spoke to Mywalit, returned the bag to them. I am pleased to say that a new bag, same color and style, was handed over to me today. I respect that Lumiere stood by it’s product as well as Mywalit. Thumbs up all around and well deserved 5 stars!!!

There are plenty of gifts in here for girly girls. Pretty purses. Pretty iphone covers. Jewelry. Candles.
I just don’t enjoy them as much. Maybe not my style.
There are still a lot of gift items here to be sorted through. You will probably find something for that girly-​girl in your life here.

I thought the variety here was a little sparse, but they do have a nice selection of purses (all sizes). Pricey, unsurprisingly… the woman working there was pleasant, although a little pushy (I finally had to tell her I was just browsing).
The store is open daily from 11 – 7.

I like this shop; for a long time it has been my goto for gift fluffing. You know, last minute stocking stuffers, or extra birthday bling. It is a mix of sort of kitschy stuff– you know, kitchen stuff shaped like chickens, or candles that smell like incense of whatever– & nicer things, like mid-​priced jewelry & glassware. I’m a fan of the latter stuff, obviously.
