I was in the Cities on January 6, 2016 it is 5:30(Dark) and the trailer that I had rented from my local dealer 3 hours north of Brooklyn Park kept blowing the fuse in my car for the tail lights. I took my car to a local repair shop and we able to rule out any issue with my vehicle and isolate the issue to the trailer. I took the trailer to their Brooklyn Park shop and was informed that I could not prove the problem was with the trailer, and my only option would be to drive home in the dark with no tail lights.

This Location is HORRIBLE. Staff are not knowledgeable of basic information about their own company; cost per mile, what mileage is included in your trip, etc. I was given false information on the phone and a different price when I arrived to pick up my truck. Upon informing Alex the«store manager» about this he did not give me the benefit of the doubt and told me his staff would«never say that.» I had to request a copy of our phone call before I was refunded!!! Staff were rude, argumentative, and unprofessional. Please do yourself a favor and go to another location and save yourself some money.

Using UHaul has been a horrible experience. I was moving from Minnesota to Massachusetts. I decided to use the UHaul Pod, where they deliver a pod, you fill it up, they pick it up ship it, drop it off and you unload it. Sounds Simple. I got a quote online, called to confirm everything(insurance, addresses, shipping time, taxes) and it was the same price $ 1400. From the start it was a mess, after everything was confirmed I got a call saying they can’t deliver on the day we had confirmed, but they call after I had plane tickets books, friends around to help with the move. So my new option was to rent a truck and pull a trailer with the pod on the trailer, I wasn’t thrilled about doing this. I don’t have experience driving a truck and pulling a trailer. But I did it. I was told once my POD arrived they would call me to schedule a delivery date. Well no one told me that the destination location,(which you don’t get to pick) doesn’t deliver, so I had to rent a separate crew to pick up and deliver my POD. The whole thing has been a mess. I ended up spending about what my quote was, but they don’t tell you the quote includes estimations for 3rd party movers. It was not the way it was explained, especially since I had an original deliver date from UHaul. I would have paid more to have hired a different company to pack and unload my boxes. And I will be doing that if I ever need to move long-distance again.

I tend to be a very positive and cheery person, but my experiences with this office have left me shocked and frustrated. While attempting to retrieve a U-Box shipment that was botched from Florida, I was put on hold by this office for no less than 35 minutes. This time was spread over several calls due to the fact that their phone system was disconnecting me after roughly seven minutes. Once I was able to speak with an employee, I was told that I would need to wait until the next business day so that they could bring my U-Box out and prepare it for me to pick up and take away. After arriving at the location the next day ready to finally have my belongings, I was told that the unit was not placed on a trailer and they thought I would just be unloading my items there. Wrong. The contract that I signed in Florida, and that they left me a message on, specifically stated that I was to be responsible for the pick-up and transportation of the unit. After explaining this, I was then told that it would take 30 – 60 minutes for them to get ready. After giving them a total of 65 minutes we returned to the store, only to find that they were still in the process of having the unit loaded. In my opinion, this store is horribly understaffed from a front desk perspective. When you call in, you will generally be placed on hold due to the fact that they are overwhelmed by the amount of people standing and waiting to be helped. TL; DR — Very poor service and them not being able to read their own contracts led to frustration.
