Arrived in Minneapolis from London and needed a US SIM card. Popped into T-​Mobile right after they opened for the day and was warmly greeted by the staff. I explained my situation and the representative didn’t grill me on if my phone was *actually* unlocked or not. She just simply believed me when I told her it was and that was nice. Previous attempts at buying a SIM card in the US have proven a far worse experience — I get it, unlocked phones are not common here.
Anyway, the representative quickly went through the pay-​as-​you-​go SIM options. Unfortunately, they didn’t offer a package that worked perfectly for me, so I had to buy a bigger/​more expensive package that I wanted but it gets the job done. No complaints there.

This location is relatively new, but I much prefer the T-​Mobile store in Maple Grove. The staff here at the Brooklyn Park location didn’t bother to acknowledge me when I walked in, nor were they very helpful when they did eventually ask me if I needed help. I hope an experience such as this isn’t the norm. When/​if I visit this location again, I will update my review if anything changes. Based on my visit though, I’d recommend the Maple Grove T-​Mobile over this store.
