Washington Dry Cleaners

Terrible experience. I took a brand new XL wool Irish sweater for dry cleaning and gave specific instructions about how to handle the cleaning. It came back in a 10 times smaller in size, and the cashier pretended as if they had no idea what happened. At least, apologize! Ridiculous.

I think this place does good work but they are WAY too expensive. They charged me $ 70 to take an inch off a bridesmaids dress. It only costs the other bridesmaids between $ 30 and $ 45. When I asked for an explanation for the drastic price difference they couldn’t give me
One.

A little pricey but average for the area. They made my comforter so clean and soft and nice smelling. They did a great job on my winter coats and business suits. Also helped me carry stuff to my car that was parked several blocks away. Always very friendly and smiling as you walk in. Would definitely recommend!

Wicked friendly and nice staff here, did a great job at both getting out specific stains and just standard dry cleaning and pressing. Prices are typical (~$ 6 for a shirt/​skirt), turn-​around time is pretty good (drop off Sat, pick up Wed). I’m a fan.

I walk past 2 – 3 other dry cleaners to get here, because they are awesome.
Anna — one of two girls (pretty sure they are sisters and it’s a family owned/​run place) knows my husband and me by heart — even our last name!
They’ve done alterations and hemming for me and pretty much always get out stains on clothes I bring in. Some things are pricey that I wouldn’t expect to be and some things are quite cheap.
I love the same-​day service, but I rarely get there early enough to take advantage of it!

The BEST in the Washington Square neighborhood, and, trust me, I’ve tried them all. I went in originally because my mom told me they did an excellent job of tailoring something for her. So I tried that first, and she was right. Then I decided to take my cleaning there. First, they know you personally. Second, they try several times to get a stain out if it doesn’t come out the first time. Third, they do the cleaning right on site, so if it’s done, it’s there for you (unlike some places that truck it to a plant so you have to wait for it to be returned to the storefront). Fourth, they actually hand-​cover delicate buttons in tin foil so they don’t get ruined when they press the item. They really care about how things come out, unlike some other places I have used in the area. It is like having a butler, only you have to drop off and pick up yourself.
They are fantastic, and you can trust me, I’ve never said that before about a Dry Cleaners in any city in which I’ve lived, and I have lived in some of the big ones. They are open until 7pm, so it’s reasonable to get there on weeknights. They aren’t cheap, but what dry cleaning is in Brookline? Close to Washington Square T stop and bus stop and across the street, basically, from Athans, with its delicious treats and teas. Dogs are not only welcome, they are petted! Pick up the Brookline Tab, too, at the front entrance. Use these folks and you will never need to find a different dry cleaner.

I’ve taken a dress and a sweater to be cleaned here, and both times I was pleased with both the quality of the clean. Stains came out that I didn’t think would! Also, the women who work here are extremely friendly. Prices are pretty normal for dry cleaning — definitely not too expensive. I didn’t think the turn around time was too bad — a couple days… I’m definitely going to keep going here.

Excellent dry cleaning, and even has laundry service, if that’s the sort of thing that might interest you.
The turnaround time is a little lengthy (four days for three items?) but the cost is affordable and the quality of service is great.
