Great sushi, great prices, and they will custom make whatever you want! Definitely going here all the time.

My foodler sushi rotation includes U-Sushi, Fin, and Yamato — so I basically eat a lot of sushi each week. Not ashamed, don’t judge me. Pricing — great. The normal rolls are really affordable, usually at least $ 1 – 2 less then most competitors in Boston: that mean I get to order more rolls to try different things. Delivery fee is only $ 2, quite reasonable. Now a day I try to be less lazy — go and pick up my own food now, finally get to see what the restaurant look like: it’s pretty small but pretty cozy. I love the option of having handrolls(no additional charge). Salmon skin handrolls taste really awesome. I like it as maki too. Louisiana Roll is interesting(Crawfish!) not like super amazing but it’s pretty good change sometime. Usually get the basic salmon roll. Our salmon roll today kinda taste like it’s smoke though — so not into that but it’s generally very good. I’ve try so many of there rolls, I am too lazy to list them all here but so far nothing is bad. For quick easy eats that’s also cheap, this is a good choice. The sake don here is great. I think Fin might do it slightly better but it’s still pretty awesome though. Overall a good sushi place, it’s not fantastabulous but it will do.

This is the most unprofessional place I’ve ever ordered from. I ordered delivery and after an hour, I call them asking what the status of my order is and the lady says ‘sorry so busy, another 15′ minutes. Half an hour goes by and still no food so I call back and the same lady says ‘I don’t know, I can’t reach my driver’. After calmly explaining to her that’s not an acceptable answer, she puts me on hold for 10 minutes then tells me that ‘he’s busy, maybe another 30 minutes’. At this point it’s been close to 2 hours since I ordered and she’s clearly just trying to get me off the phone. After I tell her to just cancel the order she just says ‘ok bye bye’ without even getting my name or other order information, meaning I’ll probably have to call my credit card company to just get my money back. Never again. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

I been ordering delivery from this place for a while now. The wait time is ok, the food is alright, so i come back once in a while when im hungry. I been waiting for something good to happen so i can write a good review about this restaurant. However I just placed my order today for delivery like i always did. One hours pass and my food have not arrive, so i called the restaurant, the lady has a quick hurry pace tone of voice. I ask her when my order will arrive, she put me on hold and tell me around 10 minutes more time(that mean probably another 20 minutes) Then i was like«…» then she said i can cancel your order if you like… I mean wtf excuse my French but really?! After waiting for over an hour and all you do is offer cancel my food? ok… very unreliable especially treating your somewhat regular customer like that. Then she said in very quick impatient voice«thank you bye bye» then hung up the phone… Well i didnt said all that to her, all i said is «ok» One thing i like about them is they give you free edamame if you order $ 15 or more and something else at $ 25 and $ 50 but what good does it do if the food never arrive and the lady will just offer to cancel you order after you are starving for over an hour… Anyway beside that their food is ok, delivery and customer service, mehh i dont know man! I really do want to like this place but they wont let me.

I will most likely never order from this place again I ordered online, and they apparently«lost» my order. She woman on the phone called me after it had already been an hour, when it was supposed to be 45 minutes. The food was going to be late, they were going to be on their way in 15 minutes. Over 2 hours after I ordered my food, the meal comes. My miso soup is cold. There were no chop sticks and not a lot of soy sauce despite writing in the ‘additional items’ section that we would like extras of both. Will not be ordering from there again. Don’t even want to pay for my meal that took an hour and fifteen minutes+ more than it should have. Do not go here.

Very good first experience with delivery. It was delivered 10 minutes before the expected time. Everything was well packaged, as I had ordered lunch for 4 people. My sakedon bowl was excellent. Good portion of salmon for the price, and good quality. My colleagues enjoyed their bento boxes and maki. We has a nice surprise after we hit $ 50 dollars, as one of the maki were comped as a promotion. I would definitely order from here as a group. I haven’t tried their menu in store, but they’re on my list of go-to sushi spots!

Ordered for takeout and was surprised by how quickly the order got made(10 min). I got the eel avocado, spicy tuna, and crazy maki rolls, which were pretty basic but tasty and affordable. I liked how there wasn’t too much rice in the rolls but did feel like the sauces could have been better. Also the crazy roll only came with 4 pieces. Overall not a bad spot — I’d come back to try more of their sushi.

U-Sushi will maki your day! This tiny restaurant offers good food at a great price without the pretentious foodie atmosphere oft found in the Brookline neighborhood. Love it.

OMG the most fresh delicious sushi I’ve had on the East Coast! And it’s the most affordable too! Small place, clean, modern. Only maybe 4 or 5 small tables but I’ve never seen it packed our had to wait. We do usually order to take out. After eating here I was blown away. The quality is 200% better than Fugakyu and a 3rd the price without any of the pretence. Keep it up guys your amazing!

This place was just terrible. I was really hoping that it was going to be good, since a lot of the Unilocal reviews speak really highly of the restaurant. However, I went for lunch and it was an all-around terrible experience– so bad I considered just leaving several times during the meal, and then after the meal ended up going to a different restaurant anyway. Customer Service — The customer service was really bad. I was waiting for at least five minutes to be seated when I arrived, even though there was only one other couple in the restaurant. The server/host didn’t even come out, the sushi chef had to seat us. After another five minutes, the server/host came out and finally gave us menus. He would disappear into the kitchen for ten to fifteen minutes at a time. When he dropped my coke off he didn’t even open the can, or offer me a glass for it. It’s a small thing, but at a sit-down restaurant, its kind of expected to get at least offered a glass for your drink. At the end of the meal, he came and sat at the host stand, which was next to our table, and sat there texting. Food — I was hoping the food would be good, because I really appreciated the sushi chef seating us and being friendly, but unfortunately it wasn’t. The rolls were weirdly proportioned… there was almost a roll’s worth of shrimp tempura sticking out the ends of one of the rolls. And in addition, they just didn’t taste very fresh. The sake nigiri was not fresh, and I didn’t even eat the second piece because I was too worried I would get sick. Ambiance — The bathroom door doesn’t lock, which is disconcerting at best for a restaurant. The restaurant is quite small, which isn’t a bad thing, but because of this I wouldn’t recommend bringing a large group here even if you wanted to risk the customer service/food. Overall, very disappointed by this restaurant.

Thank you, U!!! This review is from a Californian visiting the area for the first time :) I am so grateful for my delivery sushi experience! It was fresh and delicious. I chose the option of forbidden/brown rice on my rolls, and the flavors were sensational. Can’t thank you guys enough for providing such a tasty, satisfying, and guilt free lunch :)

My husband and I are HUGE fans. We come here once a week for takeout. The service is incredible and fast. The price is great and most importantly the sushi itself is fresher and tastier than the other options in Coolidge. They remember our order by heart now and always take the time to ask how we are doing when we go in. This hidden gem will continue to get our business for years to come!

Even it’s a tiny restaurant but the flavor is enormous! Probably one of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Staffs are nice, restaurant is clean and soup and salad that come before entrée is delicious. Boston, you are one lucky city!

A few doors down from Shawarma King. Tiny restaurant(maybe 15 seats or less) but nicely furnished. Chairs are high backed leather. Ate here for Sunday lunch and luckily not crowded given kids in tow. Hostess/waitress was excellent — very helpful and kind. Ordered the lunch specials which were a great deal. Had an unaju bento box and a sushi lunch special(fyi — sushi does not come in a bento box which slightly disappointed my friend). Ordered a beef yaki udon to go which was pretty good, though it definitely has a lot of sodium in it. Would come again.

I decided to try this for lunch based on the reviews, and the 3-roll special for $ 13 is a good deal, although for only $ 4 more you can have AYCE down the street. I gather that U Sushi is considered somewhat higher quality, but personally I couldn’t tell the difference. It may well be the same at all sushi places, but the salad was a whole lot of iceberg with just a few slices of cuke and nothing else. There are about 16 types of Maki available for the lunch specials — I had tuna, shrimp tempura and snow crap. I ordered the latter as I had seen people raving about it, although that might have been at Genki Ya — which I haven’t tried yet. It was my least favorite of the three, as I didn’t like the taste, but have no idea what component of it caused that. The other two were good, but I couldn’t really distinguish them from what I’ve had elsewhere. I usually don’t order beer with meals out — although will consider draft. Basically, I’m willing to pass rather than pay $ 5 for something I can get for little more than one dollar retail. I did notice something rather strange here: the Bud Lite(not really even a beer) was priced at $ 5, along with Sam Adams and Sapporo — which each are perhaps a tenfold increase in value over the former.

File this one under«Why have I never heard of this place before?» and«Fortuitous finds.» After 5 hours(!) of decorating pottery at the Clay Room, I demanded sustenance — and U-Sushi was directly across the street. It looked cute and clean, so we decided to «roll» the dice. Prices: Affordable! For $ 30 we got four rolls(Scorpion, Snow Crab, Spider, Crazy), which left us stuffed silly. Honestly, three rolls would have been enough for the two of us. Flavors: Fresh! The Snow Crab was deliciously creamy and smooth, which made a great counterpoint to the crunchy, savory Spider roll. The Crazy maki had just the right balance of spicy mayo, and the Scorpion roll left a great first eel impression on my boyfriend. Ambiance: Cozy! Just a handful of tables and a few seats at the bar where you can watch all the action up-close. Service: Perfectly timed! And friendly — I got the sense our server was genuinely happy to see us. I can’t wait to try out other maki here.

I’ve ordered take out through U Sushi quite a few times. The ingredients are fresh, delicious, and everything is quite fairly priced. I’m a big fan of the maki lunch specials that come with miso soup and salad. It’s all excellent. Recently, I ordered take out from them and they accidentally gave me regular salmon maki, and not spicy salmon maki like I ordered. I called to inform them, and told them I would eat it anyway. Unlike many places, they wanted to make things right and I was refunded 30% of my order through Foodler. Very impressed that they care about making their customers happy. Great food, great price, great service. You can’t beat that!

When we first walked by this place, some of the prices deterred us from going in, but it was raining and I saw they had pretty solid reviews so we stopped in for dinner. I expected the food to be good, but the sushi was fantastic! The snow crab and cream cheese sushi was without question the best crab sushi I’ve ever had(and I’ve had a lot!). The crab and avocado one was delicious as well. Unique sauce and flavor for both and tasted extremely fresh. We ended up just sharing the ramen udon as the main dish. I thought it was pretty good, but my girlfriend didn’t like the flavor of the noodles(but she’s never been a fan of udon so take that for what it is). But the sushi here is really what made the meal great. I’m coming back for more crab :)

I absolutely adore U-Sushi! It’s starting to become a weekly ritual of mine because of their great sushi and unbeatable prices. The staff is super friendly and even though it’s a small place, I highly recommend you try it out. The sushi is fresh and innovative and they are flexible if you want to add/takeaway an ingredient from a roll. I always want to add cream cheese to the Crazy Maki — delicious! They have an amazing shrimp tempura roll and spider roll, and you can’t go wrong with their specialty rolls. The one with mango is also a fav! Try this place out, you won’t regret it.

Very good sushi at decent prices, excellent service and friendly staff. We came with a baby and they were very accommodating. We had edamame and gyoza for appetizer and they delivered. For main course we had three different makis and they were all really good: rainbow, spider and black caterpillar. Would love to come back.

I have now been to U-Sushi twice and it is definitely my go to when visiting the Boston/Brookline area. Being a minute’s walking distance from the nearby Courtyard, U-Sushi offers a standard«Americanized» Japanese menu in a cozy venue with about 6 small tables and a 3 seat sushi bar. There is a TV tuned to sports or bad sitcoms. Twice now, I have sat at the bar and been served by the same chef who is clearly good at what he does and has a keen attention to detail within the restaurant. If you need something, he asks you what you need before you even need to get his attention. Customer service is thus great. The freshness of the fish also stands out here. My Yellowtail sashimi was like butter and without a hint of fishiness or iron that you sometimes get with these cuts. The tempora within my rolls was also good quality: somewhat sweet and crispy batter, fried just right. A solid sushi restaurant for the visitor or regulars.
