My son had an ingrown toenail and Dr. Lawton worked us in quickly. He was friendly and efficient. I hope I never have any reason to call a podiatrist but would call him again for any foot related problem.

I had to see Dr. Lawton at his Brookline location to tend to some incredibly annoying toe pain. I searched the Blue Cross website and picked the name closest to my home, which happened to be Dr Lawton. I’m lucky he was the man nearest my location, because he was excellent.
As you grow older, you realize that doctors aren’t some kind of divine intervention cast down from the heavens, but are instead just regular people, warts and all. As such, a good percentage of doctors seem disinterested and bored (like my PCP, for example). There is nothing more disheartening than scheduling an appointment only to go and be told nothing useful, and given no help. Then you’re hit with a $ 35 co pay after a 30 second meeting with the doctor.
Not so with Dr. Lawton. The co pay was still $ 35, but he was very helpful and informative. He is a friendly guy and has a laid back attitude; he joked with me during the phone call to schedule an appointment, rhetorically asking me if I knew getting a referral would be such an annoying process. During our meeting, he gave me several suggestions of how to treat myself and did his best to remedy the problem in the office. He was professional and helpful, and I can’t recommend him enough for podiatry needs.
This doctor gets two toes up from me.
