Coolidge Corner Dental Associates

Ditto everything others have said… unnecessary work pushed… dirty office… pushy dentist. I switched after one appointment. And they never set my full set of X-​rays on to my new dentist.

Horrible experience here! I moved to Boston and was looking for a new dentist and decided on Coolidge Corner Dental because it had great hours for working professionals. I came to my appointment and was told I needed a full mouth X-​ray. This entailed the dentist and the assistant arguing about the correct way to use the new X-​ray equipment. I felt like a guinea pig! I was extremely uncomfortable, from both the arguing and the horrible positions my mouth was being put in. I then had a dental exam where I was told I had 13 cavities and needed a possible root canal! I have never had a cavity in my life and had gone to my other dentist 6 months prior. I left crying and the dentist here told me I would be getting an estimate in the mail for the work I needed done. Soon after, I made an appointment for a second opinion. My new dentist told me I did not have any cavities and that my X-​rays show no tooth decay. Horrible experience at Coolidge Corner Dental and such a scam!!! I would never suggest going here. Thank goodness everyone talked me into getting a second opinion!

I called them about the bill and explained how upset I was and that the only thing I could do as a consumer was to report their terrible business practices to the Mass Dental licensing board, the ADA, the Bureau for Better Business and Unilocal.The new office manager told the Dr about this and returned with a bill a little less than half of what it was before (now $ 160). I agreed to pay it and explained I would not contact all of those governing bodies but would fairly update the story on Unilocal.It sounds like their business practices have somewhat improved though the best move would have been to eliminate the bill. Due to the care at this facility, I do not feel I can recommend this.
