Bruce F Cohen, MD

I wish I could give 4.5 stars, because I have had mostly wonderful experiences with Dr. Cohen’s office. My regular OB/​GYN sends all of her patients to Dr. Cohen for ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy. The waiting room is ok (usually on the chilly side) but the wait time is usually really long, especially as the day goes on. I think this is partially due to his willingness to squeeze in patients throughout the day who are having complications, and they are also very thorough.
The staff ended up catching a complication of mine (a poor measurement) and had me come back to monitor it (I eventually had to go on bed rest because it was quite serious). Without their skills, who knows what would have happened to our baby. I am eternally grateful to them. Dr. Cohen took the time to explain the complication including what to expect and follow-​up procedures. My husband and I enjoy his appropriate sense of humor (my hubby actually said he thinks Dr. Cohen is they type of guy he could be buddies with in real life).
I am surprised by the negative reviews. All of the nurses and technicians have been fabulous. The receptionists are usually pleasant, unless very overwhelmed. Equipment is clean and they explain what you are looking at, especially if you show interest in knowing. I like that they have flat screen TVs on the opposite wall so I don’t have to crane my neck at the monitor next to me.
All in all, I love Dr. Cohen and his staff in Brookline, and I would highly recommend him, especially if you are high-​risk and/​or carrying multiples.

Dr. Bruce F Cohen was my OB/​Gyn for my two pregnancies and I absolutely LOVE him AND his STAFF! Dr Cohen has a very funny sense of humor AND is very experienced, knowledgeable and thorough. His staff is very caring and down to earth. I was in a car accident when I was in my 8^th month, I called the office and right away one of his nurses got on the phone and told me to come right in to be looked at. They checked me and were very thorough in making sure that everything was okay. The best proof is that I had two very healthy babies as a result of Dr. Bruce Cohen. In fact, with each one, I felt informed, healthy, and happy and in good hands, literally all the way to the delivery room. I can’t recommend him enough. By being a «high-​risk-​pregnancy» specialist he has a complicated patient base to treat and I believe he is the BEST. He delivered my last baby and we couldn’t be happier, really. Of course, you should make your own opinion when you meet him but definitely I believe you are in good hands with Dr. Cohen.
