Like other reviews say. A great family bakery in a small town. Nice selection of items and I’m very happy to see baklava. I’ve never had anything stale here, which is impressive for such a wide selection.

For stopping in and having lunch and some of their everyday treats it’s great. Although on my 16 birthday we ordered my cake from here and I expected a lot considering how amazing there other pastries are but my cake looked awful. Looks aside it did taste great.

We go every time we visit Brookhaven and are never disappointed! Our kids consider a trip to Janie’s non-negotiable when we visit their grandparents :)

This place is a throw back to a more innocent time… a good olé fashioned bakery in a small southern town. I have lived all over the US and always make it a point when I stop in Brookhaven to visit my mother’s grave to go by Janie’s to get their AMAZING sugar cookies with vanilla icing. The perfect blend of flour, butter and milk always decorated in seasonal designs like four leaf clovers, easter bunnies, turkeys and christmas trees. DO not come through Brookhaven without getting some of these treats! Trust me, you will be very happy you did.

Family run biz with emphasis on taste not service. Been there a number of times but not because they are friendly or because it is clean. Good pastries at reasonable prices. This place could be so much more with some elbow grease, attitude adjustment and vision.

This is a classic, 1950’s bakery with all the sweet stuff that also serves breakfast biscuits and croissants(ham, egg, sausage cheese) in the mornings and great sandwiches and a famous«chicken on a stick» at the lunch hour. Has some seating but counter service. Fair prices and fast service.
