It’s clean… so I would eat there again if I really really really wanted Chinese food, which isn’t often. I’m really picky and most Chinese restaurants gross me out. Chicken fried rice was fine, but the crab ragoon absolutely tasted pre-made and prefrozen, that was a disappointment. but I still ate it.

My family has been eating here for years, so I figured a review would be appropriate! Personally, I think they have the best American-style Chinese food in the MKE area. Sometimes Chinese restaurants are hit or miss… this is the exception. The food is consistently good and, more importantly, the restaurant is clean!

While we were waiting for the extremely slow service, two couples walked out, which should have been a sign right there that we should have done the same. Worst cut of beef for the Mongolian beef I’ve ever tasted, rubbery and fatty. The Cantonese chicken tasted like someone just microwaved the pieces of chicken and placed a bunch of chopped vegetables on top to look like they actually did something to it. No seasoning whatsoever was wasted on that dish. When our drinks were finally brought over, the waitress proceeded to spill half of the beer on the table. At check out, when the manager asked me how everything was, I did tell him the dishes were sub par, to say the least, and he proceeded to do absolutely NOTHING about it. Will not ever go back and would strongly advise everyone else to stay clear of it.

This is a great place to order take out from, and its usually ready within 10 – 15 minutes. My favorite thing to order is the lemon chicken, they usually give really big portions and I always have left overs. I wish the inside was a little more updated and inviting. The big buffet boat is cool but I’m never there when it’s in use so I always look at it and feel like I missed the party. The front counter has this display glass filled with towels, rubber gloves and other kinds of storage items that are unappealing to look at and kind of cheapen the vibe.

As a brand new customer, I walked in this afternoon with high hopes. There was a blond woman behind the counter speaking loudly on the phone. She was brusque with me, dismissive, barely answering my questions, then she continued speaking on the phone, with her RELATIVES! I overheard her(everybody heard her) saying how SICK she felt, and didn’t want to spread germs around. This was in the Restaurant! I walked out right away, didn’t need to even taste the food! It was obvious she didn’t want new customers. With help like this, I’m surprised they stay in business.

Well, I found the place on a whim while shopping on Bluemound. Didn’t expect much more than avg in Brookfield. But we were blown away. This place was the real deal. Location is cool, on the 2nd floor. Interior is nice & neat with Chinese decoration but its not cheesy. Workers were quick & nice. Our waitress was confident & informative. Food was awesome. I had the Mongolian Beef. Very fresh & flavorful, bursting. My partner had a chicken dish which was excellent too. We both dig the all-white-meat policy. Veggies were great. If you’re in the area & u want Chinese, you can’t go wrong here.(Also no ill after-affects) I would put this place near the top for Chinese in WI

Not good with customers — very bad attitude — need to understand that customers make their restaurant run n not anything else

Good buffet, somewhat limited selection but good flavor. Seemed to use all white meat chicken in dishes I had(sweet sour and pepper chicken). Price for lunch buffet was $ 7.95 and included my hot tea. Restaurant was about as clean and updated as most Chinese restaurants…

I moved to the New Berlin/Brookfield area about two years ago. Very hard to find decent chinese food around here until I found this place. Now every Tuesday I come in and get the hunan chicken for a take out order. I am giving that 5 stars becasue it is always perfect and I never have to wait long. I cant say on the other food they have or on the the dining in part but the staff always has been very nice to me when I come in.

Service leaves a lot to be desired. Restaurant is much busier than Delafield location that closed in August 14. Ordered egg drop soup with my meal. Waited 45minutes before server came back to my table to tell me I was waiting because they ran out of soup and were making more. Said it would be 2 more minutes. 20 minutes later egg drop soup came out. She never mentioned it so I could change my order. Tables have been seated and have finished and I’m still waiting for entrée over an hour. Service does not compare to last location. Very disappointed and very hungry! Finally got my shrimp with cashew. Boring. Shrimps are not fresh but frozen and thawed. 6 shrimps. Not worth the wait. Very disappointing and server was abrupt. Never asked if I needed anything else and she dropped bill and ran off. Delafield location service and pleasant demeanor beats this location. Sad that they closed. Owner asked me how meal was as I was leaving. Told her how much better Delafield was and my experience. Just said who was your server and come back and give us another chance. Not likely.

First off I have to give credit to fellow Unilocaler Rick R. for finding this place because it was not on my radar. I just got tired of the small crapy egg rolls that are found all over and I wanted an old school meaty good one. I threw out on Unilocal talk, where is the best egg roll in Milwaukee and Rick R. Suggested this place. He was spot on with his suggestion. This place is confusing at first to get to because it’s in a micro mall on the second floor. You walk to the rear past the other stores to the stairs and walk up to them. Once in the place it looked clean and modern, not that cheesy Chinese over the top with all the stupid knick knacks. The buffet is a wooden boat with a dragons head on point, see the pictures. I was in Brookfield already so I went over for take out for dinner. While I was there I was going to get my two favorite Chinese items, the beef fried rice and an egg roll. I found it strange that at 4:15 the dining area was empty but the take out was booming. On my way home my car smelled amazing and I couldn’t wait to try the food. The service was good with two women helping me while I was there. The woman at the front was on her second day and did a great job. The oriental woman was training her and making sure my order was ok. I experienced none of the issues that other Unilocalers reported. See the pictures. Rick R. Nailed it. This is the best egg roll I have had out side the Chicago area. I’m so glad to finally get a great egg roll. The out side was golden crispy with a generous amount of pork and shrimp with vegetables. The egg roll was very tasty and now my favorite around. The beef fried rice was very good with a good amount of beef in it. The sweet and sour sauce was very good and might be home made, I never eat the sweet and sour but today I did. I couldn’t find any on line menu so I will post pictures for every one to look at, lack of an on line menu keeps me from going to some places. The large take out everyone talks about is gone and the signs are posted letting every one know. My portions were big enough and I can’t complain. See the picture of the sign. Over all this was a great find and and I will be back for those great egg rolls. I will try more of the menu as time goes. Two thumbs up.

I was visiting the Milwaukee area and wanted some Chinese takeout. I chose this place because many of the reviews said the takeout was fast. Therefore, I was very surprised when the woman on the phone said it would take thirty minutes for my order to be ready. To me, that’s slow. I arrived after twenty minutes thinking that nobody could be that slow… and had to wait ten minutes for the food. So, don’t go there for the fast takeout. I got the combination fried rice. It was good but nothing to write home about. On the plus side, I asked for it to be extra, extra spicy. Being from Texas, I didn’t think it would be all that hot but it was. I also ordered a couple of egg rolls. They were larger than I usually see in Chinese restaurants. Also, the hot mustard in the packets was actually hot mustard, not the mustard-like goo you normally get in a packet.

I just came back from a horrible evening at emperors kitchen. We had the worst hospitality in service. Our waitress was rude, condescending, and she forgot about our table several times throughout the evening. I got to the resteraunt at 7:15 and I just got home. We waited FOREVER. Once we finally got our food, it was cold! Miserable service. Horrible food. Will not be back. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I can only write my review from the point of view of the lunch buffet, but I’ve gone here several times for lunch and my experience has always been somewhere between the three to four star range. The only reason that I went with the three instead of the four is because of that inconsistancy of being between a three and a four! They don’t have a huge selection on their buffet, but still enough variety. They don’t have white rice on the buffet but little signs let you know that you can order it directly from your server. The food is Americanized Chinese food, but good. The service is friendly and attentive, although sometimes it can be a little slow.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Southeastern Wisconsin. We have been going here for years. There is not a better place in town. Pan fried noodles are amazing. So much better than any where else. Have never had a bad meal here.

I just waited an hour to get sesame chicken. All we hear is it’s coming. When it finally arrived, it was cooler than the food that was sitting on our table for 25 minutes. The food has always been good but the service is failing fast. I’m tired of being told«we are busy» when people are getting their food before us and they were seated after us. Epic fail.

I’ve been going to Emperor’s Kitchen in Brookfield since about 1998; and I love it. They always have great variety, food is hot, and egg rolls are great – only offered(I believe) on Friday’s and Saturday’s. I’d give them 4.5 stars because their egg drop isn’t the best I’ve tasted, but their chicken and pork dishes are really good. If you want to eat a lot, and not pay much, Emperor’s is great for Chinese dining – for their buffet’s are concerned. I haven’t eaten dinner there, but I’ve been told that it’s very good as well. Plus, if you suggest it, they’ll bring you hot tea in a Silver kettle – I like that! I hope that it was just a misfortune that some of these people have been getting bad food, makes it me wonder if hands have«exchanged» to someone else, but I will try them again, and renew my report if it has really changed.

First off, we almost didn’t go here, the restaurant is on the 2nd floor and we didn’t see it! I wish we kept driving! I hate to write a poor review, but I have to. We went here recently and I got the worst food poisoning of my life! My son ate the fried rice that was perched on top of a precarious cake plate looking server. I’m surprised half of it didn’t fall to the floor walking it to the table. My husband got the tomato pepper beef, which was good. I was the only one who ate the chicken almond ding. The chicken tasted like a different texture than I was used to, and it wasn’t pleasant.(They told me it was boiled, then pan fried. I don’t like boiled foods). The almonds were plentiful. It worried all of us how long our meal took to come out, after the soups and egg rolls. It was probably 25 – 30 minutes of a wait and the place was not packed. My son can NOT wait that long! We also felt this restaurant was on the expensive side. The chairs were rock hard. If you have any sort of medical problem like I do, please bring a pad! ROCK… HARD… I did not feel sick at all before coming here, within 1 hour of leaving this place I felt off. I chalked it up to too much oil. The next day, I couldn’t look at food at our free continental breakfast at the hotel. For lunch, I had more of the Chinese not thinking that could be the culprit. BAM! For two days, I felt sicker than a dog. Nothing would make me better and I PRAYED to throw up. It never happened. No drugs worked and it ruined our 2 day trip to Wisconsin. Upon telling the manager at the hotel, he told me that he has heard nothing but poor reviews off of this place, especially getting sick. Eat their chicken or other dishes with extreme caution and beware ALL Chinese buffets for fried rice syndrome: a bacteria that grows on rice that’s been sitting around too long(google it!). Our meal was not buffet though. I wish I went to Stir Crazy or the family restaurant down the road. They gave me a partial refund and apologized but I still can’t rate them over 1 star for how sick I felt. It was just MISERABLE. Please avoid.
