Located near the sale barn in Brookfield, this place proved to be an excellent choice for lunch. I know several people who eat here regularly and love it.
During a recent visit, I went in to find the lunch special that day was a BBQ beef sandwich with potato salad and baked beans.
The beef was tender and tasty. I really expected it to be LLoyds in a bowl BBQ from the grocery store, but it wasn’t, much to my delight. Generous portions were ample for a big eater like me. The potato salad was very good but had a twist on its makeup, it was more like mashed potatoes with a few chunks thrown in with the onions, and pickles. Same taste, just a little different texture… maybe it is easier on the digestive system… I am getting to the age where I have to pay attention to these kinds of things. Baked beans were smokey flavored.
My only draw back here: being from an area where smoking in public has been taboo for some time, sitting next to a smoker can throw you. Otherwise the food is a ‘come back to”
