Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

I switched to Hand & Stone because Massage Envy was lacking in prenatal massage therapists. The reason I love this place, Emmy is the best! She knows what she is doing and is extremely knowledgeable which is super impressive because she is so young and I assume fresh out of school. She listens to your needs and can deliver results, she made my last month of pregnancy bearable. It would be nice and f they had a lower lit room for you to relax in while you wait for your massage, but now I am being picky :) A plus and minus for this location is the location. It is in a busy plaza with Panera Bread, Shoprite, Joann Fabrics and more which is great for multitasking but also means you will have to park far from your destination depending on what time of day. Now that I am no longer pregnant I considered switching back to Massage Envy but will stay because of Emmy and the ease of booking appointments!

Based on a recommendation I viewed on Unilocal,I decided to give this place a try. I was not disappointed at all! The therapist I had was Ryan and he was incredible! I signed up to be a member since I do not work too far away and am looking forward to monthly massages from Ryan. He communicates well with you and works with what your body needs. I went in with a lot of shoulder pain and I am light as a feather now! Stress melted away!!! I would highly recommend this location as well as Ryan. Exceptional service and skill!

I had a deep tissue massage with Ryan last night and have felt amazing ever since. He found knots and released tension in places I didn’t even know were tense! He was one of the few massage therapists that I’ve had that applied enough pressure to truly work out all of the trouble spots on my back and shoulders. The best part of this massage was the price! They were having a «Relax the Tax» special and my 50 min massage cost only $ 39.95! I made sure to leave Ryan a nice tip.
Sadly, I was in the area traveling for work-​if I ever find myself nearby again, I will certainly make time for another massage!

I had a prenatal massage here and it was very relaxing. The massage therapist used just the right amount of pressure. The front desk person explained to me their membership program offer at the end. I declined and was really grateful that she did not continue to badger me about it (this happened to me at a different franchise spa and I would never return because of it). I will likely return here and try a facial in the future.

I have had the same esthatican for years and have been searching for a new one ever since she left, and no one has even come close. i am SO HAPPY to have given this place a try and found Anna. she gave me the best facial, got pretty much every black head out (and there were a lot) i did not break out after, and she didnt try and push any of their products on me. i ended up signing up for a membership and am going back tonight to have her do a peel. hopefully the membership is as good as it sounds, i will follow up.

After having had a bad experience there, the owner gave me a free service to make up for it, which was very nice. I used my monthly massage credit and then had a great facial on the house. So, after one good massage, one great massage, one great facial, and one awful experience over all, I think three stars is appropriate. I guess the quality really depends on the esthetician or massage therapist. A few things are consistent – everyone seems a bit confused. There aren’t really any protocols in place for things, which is sometimes good and sometimes bad. I think that’s why I have had such varying experiences. Also, I don’t like how heavily everyone in there tries to sell you products. At Massage Envy, they always would give samples and if you like the product you can then purchase… no hard sell. Not the case here. Also, every time I have gone in, I somehow selected an upgrade without anyone letting me know I would be paying more. Even with a free service and using my monthly massage credit, I still walked out of there dropping $ 90 (the upgrade I didn’t know I selected, the tips, and one small product). Seems like that has happened every time I have gone in. People need to be more informative that something I an upgrade instead of just making it seem like an option for the same price. Also, any time they have used essential oils, the smell has been overpowering. I love essential oils, but they are powerful and have to be diluted. They are either using appropriately diluted but cheap quality oils that are too heavily scented with synthetic ingredients, or using the oil straight without diluting. So, basically, I think some people here are very talented, but some things about this place are very unprofessional.

After first massage, bought a package and have been satisfied. My one pet peeve is that one months I cannot get there they charge me to let my daughter take my massage. Plan on canceling soon, as my schedule gets busy, but would keep it if there was no fee to transfer to a family member!

Anna gives amazing facials!

I absolutely loved it there! They are very accommodating and Amanda was wonderful. She gave me a facial and it was heavenly. I was a little nervous but she talked me through it and was super friendly! She made me so relaxed and I really enjoyed the facial! Plus she made some really great improvements to my skin! I highly recommend her!

Upon arrival time, I was promptly greeted and taken back into the room. My therapist told the general information about a massage, and we began the session. The environment was relaxing other than the faucet dripping, which was quite annoying.
Was it the best massage I’ve had, no. But it wasn’t the worst either. All in all, not bad for a low cost chain style massage joint.

Came here with a groupon, very nice experience. Everyone was really nice. My facial and scalp massage lived up to my expectations, and I left feeling relaxed. This location is fairly new, just a couple months old, and the rooms are nice. I will come here again, and recommend it to others :)
