What a diamond in the rough!!! My sister and I have been searching for a beach day spot for quite some time now and Unilocal helped us find Fox Brook Park! Only a 20 min drive from our place in West Allis! For $ 4 the park provides a clean beach with picnic areas (both covered and non covered). A floating dock with a diving board. Grilling spots. Grassy areas for gatherings. A separate doggy swimming spot (a bit small and crowded with more than 4 dogs & families). Hiking trails. And so much more we didn’t have time to explore! A solid star was taken away because this is a County Park and they do NOT ALLOW floaties of any kind in the lake!!! Only certified life jackets. I understand for safety reasons but the lake is sectioned off and not even the adults are allowed to float in the water with a raft or mesh floatie. With that being my only true complaint we will be back to grill out and take a dip!

Great inexpensive family outing. Nice roped off beach, fishing area and walking paths. Connects to Mitchell Park via a boardwalk as well. Cool diving platform for more advanced swimmers.

This may be the best random Unilocal selection in a long while. You know whats in my area Unilocal roulette. This park boasts lost of trails (paved and unpaved) a dog park, an art gallery, a large (very cool) children play area, a covered venue with pic nic tables and fountains. (its available to rent for private parties) and lots of gorgeous scenery (like the butterfly area i found randomly) I spent 2 hours here and i didnt complete the whole park I will be back in the future im sure to discover more finds but it is deff. a place i would go to again. We are so fortunate in this state to have so many awesome public and state parks.
