An extremely popular bakery among Hispanics in New York, Valencia Bakery has been baking cakes for decades. Very popular for birthdays, baptisms, sweet sixteens (and Quinceañeras), and weddings, the flavors offered (pineapple, coconut, etc.) were popular among the large Puerto Rican community found in the city. The frosting is amazingly sweet, and the cake presentations are always amazing as the bakery glazes the cake perfectly with frosting and other decorations (sugar flowers, leaves, etc.). Valencia, which is a bakery chain and has many locations throughout the city has endured the test of time and remains popular even after six decades. Just like Junior’s Cheesecake, Valencia is a New York legacy going strong. Highly recommended!

I ordered a cake here for my daughters 1st birthday and it came out exactly as I wanted it. Absolutey gorgeous. I grew up eating these cakes birthday after birthday from this bakery, since I lived in the neighborhood for 15 years, and they are absolutely the best. Growing up as a New York Rican I would say no other spanish bakery can come close to making a delicious latin cake the way they do. They have over a dozen fillings and you can basically order the cake any way you like and they’ll make it exactly how you want it. The prices are definitley reasonable as well. I only spent about $ 60 on my daughters cake and it was huge to serve 50 guests a nice size piece. I highly recommend this bakery if you’re looking for an affordable, delicious, spanish cake for any occasion. No matter where I reside in the future I will always find my way back here for the best Valencia cake ever!!!
