I called in a prescription for a medication that I need to take daily. After 1 week of not receiving the prescription in the mail, I called again and explained I was out of meds… It took another week for the prescription to arrive.
Because Dr Thorpy doesn’t like to write prescriptions monthly, the prescription was for a 3 month supply which has to be filled through mail order.
One week after sending the prescription into the mail order pharmacy associated with my medical insurance, I’m told the dose needs a prior authorization. The rep at the pharmacy told me they left 2 messages with Dr Thorpys office and haven’t heard back yet.
Due to the non response of Dr Thorpy or his office, it’ll be another week before I can receive my medication.
I will be 3 WEEKS off meds that I should be taking on a daily basis.
