Words truly can not express how amazing these guys are! Today was my fiancés birthday, and he decided literally last minute he wanted a cake. Not only did they accommodate us, but they gave us the best cake I have tasted in a LONG LONG TIME, and this is coming from two people who don’t eat cake. Thank you sooo much everyone and I do mean everyone loved it, and left asking me where from. From the bottom of my heart thank you!

Deliciousness in my belly! My sister and I went to the horrid nail salon next door and needed a pick me up. I bookmarked this bakery months ago on Unilocal and it was the perfect moment to see what the hype was about. Oh man. Oh man. Those cookies are delicious. The cannoli was better than those I’ve tried in Little Italy. We’ve been there a couple of times since. But it’s definitely a neighborhood gem.

Ordered a nautical theme cake from here. It was chiffon with strawberry and vanilla custard and was divine. Everyone loved it. The owner also talked to me about using a sheet cake opposed to a tier cake since it was for a work baby shower. It was still pretty. I remembered my cousin got her cake from here years ago and it was delicious. It is still the same. Will def be buying all my cakes from Sal and Dom’s now on.

Sal and Dom’s was contracted through the reception hall to provide a three-​tier cake for my wedding. After purchasing three regular cakes to decide on a flavor because they refused to offer us a tasting, we made our decision and proceeded to the decoration consultation. My wife wanted something that looked like a chalkboard, but what we ended up getting, for an extra 200 dollars, was more akin to a log dredged from a swamp. Comments ranged from a simple, «Oh,» to one guest’s,“I didn’t know you were having a goth wedding.”

I don’t even know where to start! This is the best bakery in the Bronx. I live nearby but even people who live far away come here. It’s a family owned bakery and everything is super fresh. You have to get there early cause once something is sold out, that’s it until the next day. The bread is amazing and so are the little mini cookies. My absolute faves are the cheese danishes, the chocolate eclairs, and the napoleans. The staff is absolutely great as well. I stole a star just cause I really hate their hours. It would be great if they stayed open a little later especially on the weekends.

The cake came out perfect, everyone at my baby shower loved it. It was a last minute order and they did great, I gave them an idea of how I would like my cake to look and they gave me more then I can ask for. The price was great and there was plenty to go around, would definitely recommend and or order another cake from them.

An amazing family run bakery in the middle of The Bronx. I’m lucky enough to live around the block from S&D’s. Their pastries are always fresh. The limited bread they make daily is delicious. Italian ice is offered during the warmer months.
You don’t stay in business for as long as they have without doing something right. Truly the best bakery in the Bronx (yes better than those on Arthur ave). Sue me.

I’vE had a bunch of different things here, the minis are very good and my favorite is the pignoli tart, and pignoli cookies. My least favorite is the lobster tails, they are quite long, about 6 inches and amazingly filled ALL the way through with the cream of your choice, but the pastry isn’t crispy it’s hard and crusty! I’ve had lobster tails before elsewhere and the pastry was light and crispy which Is why I got them here but they aren’t anything like the ones I had in little Italy :(
I’ll still be back for my minis.

For my moms birthday I purchased a strawberry cheese cake. The presentation of the cake and taste both match up to the standards that are expected in a good cake. I loved it so much I’m going back for another cake tomorrow! This place has become the place for all cakes and events needed for fresh pastries! Looking over all the reviews before posting mine I have to say they are all correct this places really deserves an A. I loved the cake!

Best bakery in the Bronx.
It’s not easy finding a good bakery place in the Bronx where the cake not only looks good the taste great.
I was in desperate need and running short on time last to get a 30 person cake for my one year anniversary party. The cake I received from Sal and Doms was not only beautiful but perfect in flavor and sweetness.
They not only took my order the last minute but made sure I got my cake right on time for my party.
The cake I ordered was a pink ombré flower cake, one layer with vanilla sponge, inside raspberry and chocolate mousse layers topped with a soft, lightly sweetened butter cream frosting.
The cake was big enough to feed more than 30 people and cost $ 87.dollars

This bakery is top-​drawer; I can say with confidence it’s one of the best (if not THE best) Italian bakery in the Bronx. I’ve been using Sal & Dom’s for family gatherings, holidays, and parties for years and they never fail to deliver high quality fresh baked goods.
Their store front is a little small which means it can get cramped easily, but that’s easily forgiven because the pastries are just that good. They have a large variety so it’s easy to find exactly what you want.
Stop reading this review right now and head over to Sal & Dom’s and pick up a pound of cannoli and Italian cookies — run, don’t walk!

Love this place. My parents have been buying cakes and pastries from here since I was a kid. Their carrot cake is my favorite. Their pastries are also delicious. For super bowl Sunday I bought a cannoli dip platter, it was delicious.
Lots of variety on the cookies, and everything is always very fresh.

Some of the most fresh Italian cookies and pastries around! Way better then most of the stuff on Arthur avenue! A lot. Of variety here! Never got a specialty cake made, but I will totally go to them in the future when I need one. This place would get a 5 star if it was not for the bad attitudes. This place is notorious for having crappy people working! I do not really mind but ya know, it is super annoying when I feel rushed or like I am intruding by buying something. Especially since I go in there when it is empty.
