Always a great experience when I come here. Food is always excellent. No matter what you order. Last night the garlic bread ran out and I was kind of sad. But the food and drink made up for it. When seated garlic bread is served.

The food is pretty delicious. The waiters, however, are not attentive and it can take forever if you need something. It’s an interesting mix of Dominican and Chinese cuisine that is mostly successful. Food is affordable. I go here every so often.

Great place to eat if you’re not looking to spend lots of money. The best house special fried rice I have ever tasted. Literally everything on the menu is great! Since sabrosura is now a no tipping establishment the service has went down. Hopefully it will pick up.

So disappointing. I was here almost two hours and the place was completely empty. There was really no excuse for the waiting endured. First for water/drinks, again for food annnd for the bill. The food was had zero taste, my churrasco was tough And had gummy tendons throughout. Was unfortunately inedible and ended up eating the table bread. my friends was horrible. We left, paying nearly $ 80, hungry.

This is the gem of the Bronx. The food here is fantastic. If your in the mood for a Chino-Latino cuisine then this is the spot to be. I would like to try everything on there menu but I’m stuck on the Chofan rice. The mojito for the tostones is even phenomenal. The best part of all this also is that the meal won’t break the bank. I’m regularly here and I felt that they’re due a 5star review. Very consistent with taste and service. Only negative would probably be looking for parking but that’s not the fault of this business. P. S. They don’t accept tips here.

I went with my parents because we were very hungry. And even though we order an hour before they close. Emerson give us an excellent service. But the best things was the food, is so delicious. I work in an Belgian restaurant and I recommend this place for family time and hungry tummies.

I’ve eaten here and ordered pick up a number of times and each time it’s delicious! It’s a bit pricey and I wish I would try other things off the menu but I can never get myself to not order the Binto box special. It’s delicious! I’ve tried the chicharones de pollo, the ribs, and steak. All have been delicious! It can get really packed here during dinner time so arrive early or expect long waits! Very good food though. I will definitely keep coming back! Highly recommend!

This is a nice place to go when you are hungry. It’s a Chinese restaurant with a Dominican twist. Everything is clean and neat. Fast comes out quick and the food is delicious. You have to try the tostones rellenos. I get them for appetizers every time I come and they got the best Mofonguito I’ve tried in my life! The place is casual and the drinks are not too bad. Did I mention this restaurant is cheap? Hell yeah is cheap and good!

I am giving this a 2 star because i’m being generous for the simple fact that I’m a fan of the original Sabrosura. We were a party of 4 on Sunday evening around 5PM. The first turn off was the fact that they supposedly ran out bread. Second, it took a long time for our waiter to take our order and for us to actually receive our order. My child ordered chicken wings and french fries and he was the last one to be served, almost at the time that we were done eating our food. Overall the place looked messy. The staff seemed to be all over the place. Perhaps they need to go back to the old tipping system. I would not recommend this place.

So I have been a customer of Sabrosura 1 since 1987. This is my second time at sabrosura 2 and I will say that we waited long periods of time for our waiter, had to practically beg for containers for our leftover food and to top it off they ran out of coffee. I love Nelson and swear by Leo at sabrosura 1 and will not stop frequenting my favorite restaurant but will not return to this location.

So… This is a Chinese-Latino cuisine. First off I liked the openness of the restaurant and the high ceilings it gave me a very open and liberating feel as apposed to a place where you feel you have to whisper. The menus are very appetizing. The stuffed crab was very delicious and I love that they do combination plates that Come with a tiny mofongo, a pastelito, rice, beans, salad and a meat. My food was pretty good and flavorful. The cocktails are really good and strong. The environment is pleasant. Bathrooms are pretty clean. Only thing is that the waiters get overwhelmed and aren’t really attentive. When you grab their attention they are very pleasant but I always find myself looking for them. Now, I definitely dislike the waiter that is all in my face while I’m eating so thank goodness I didn’t experience that but I can appreciate the waiter that is at least watching over his tables. Minor dislike but can be a real pain and annoying when they are busy and you are trying to get the attention of your waiter like a child in school that knows the answer and you are desperately trying to get the teacher to call on you for like 5 mins and you start holding your arm up with your opposite had from swinging it like a wild banshee just for duck sauce. Yeah… You get my drift. Over all a well deserved 4 stars and their deserts are pretty delicious. Def a place I’d recommend for a group outing.

Food was outstanding. We waited a while for it but boy the wait was worth it. Bistec palomilla was perfect, churassco delicious, mofongo with sauce excellent. We usually have black beans they only have pink which were tasty. Sangria great. Definitely returning

It was OK, the original sabrosura is better. I had chicharrons and they weren’t as good as I imagined. Hard like rocks and their morir sonando was completely watered down. I had better from a bodega.

Love this place! I’ve tried other Latin/Asian places before and no place compares. Food is fresh and portions are large. Only downside is that whenever I order delivery they always seem to forget something with is kind of annoying, but they always resend it.

This one is much more spacious its closer to home and it doesn’t feel like you’re on top of the other person at the other table while you’re eating. I had their Flamingo Fish for the first time ever. The Camaronfongo was my go to dish everytime. The Flamingo Fish has now taken its place!

My kids and I love this place, I always order boneless fried chicken with french fries, Lo mein and a pitcher of lemonade Not to mention the bathrooms are clean and pretty always soap and paper, nice atmosphere with cool décor. I must say though some times the waiters take a long time to check up on tables for refills that’s why I get a pitcher of lemonade super cool mixture of food Dominican and Chinese amaze balls but it’s a definite go to if your around the area

Very happy i visited this place today… My party of 5 didnt have to wait long to be seated, all in all it was about a 15 minute wait on a friday evening(7ish). The wait staff was attentive and polite. Our server was helpful, and knowledgeable when it came to the menu. The food was served very fast, and piping hot. Everyone at our table was extremely pleased and impressed with what they had ordered. Their fried rice was some of the best I have ever had, and im from Queens, where the Chinese food is some of the best in the country! Nonetheless, i will definitely be returning to this restaurant, and will absolutely recommend trying them. *BTW, this particular location(#2) looks to be newly built, is large, tastefully designed and very clean. The owners did a great job building their resturant, congratulations!

I absolutely love this place. Fantastic menu, huge portions, fresh and delicious food, and the place is huge(much bigger than the one on castle hill), which means less wait time. Whether I order for take-out or pick-up, the food arrives quickly and steaming hot. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I gave them 4-stars because their children’s menu leaves a lot to be desired, and they only accept cash. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to run to an ATM because I forget they don’t take debit or credit. They have an ATM in the restaurant, but you have to pay the ATM’s fee, and your bank’s fee. It’s just so unusual to find a place that doesn’t accept credit cards nowadays.

I had to choose the 1 star in order to write a review. But I would have not if I had the option to. They are so rude here it’s completely unacceptable. And this is the first review I’ve written because that’s how upsetting the staff was. I ordered food for take out like I have the million times before. This time they proceed to call us back about 52 minutes later after our order to tell us that they don’t want to bring the food because we are too far away. We are located before east Tremont. About 2 miles away. And they said we were 5 miles away. I don’t know what messed up map they used. They were so unprofessional and the fact they called about an hour later. They then said they would bring it but would never do it again and I have to give a big tip to the driver. I was still very nice. She even thanked me for not getting mad. But that was absolutely ridiculous. Please people do not give this place business. It’s terrible. Go to the regular Sabrosura. I definitely did not give a generous tip. I hope they got the message. You guys are an unpleasant staff and how would you feel if your family was treated that way. Thanks but no thanks ever again. Sincerely a family who has ordered a million times from you.

I’ve been here twice. This is part 2 of the original Sabrosura on Castle Hill, which is absolutely delicious. The décor and space are awesome! The food menu is the same as Sabrosura, but doesn’t taste as good. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still good… But def not delicious like Sabrosura. I’ll keep going when I’m in the area

Im ALL for this mix of Chinese/Dominican cuisine. Forreal. This is like yum factor on a million. This is the second Sabrosura location and it’s pretty damn big. It’s cheesily decorated and they have a picture menu… but that’s what I like about these kinds of places, it tells me the food is going to be good. The prices are really good(aka– cheap) and you can even choose your own lobster from a water tank(exciting).

They get crazy props for being able to accommodate a group of about 20 hungry guys. The restaurant itself is actually quite large, and we basically took over their back section. The staff was very friendly and surprisingly, got all the orders correct. I’ve been to quite a few restaurants that screw up groups that are much smaller. Our waters were always being filled, and our dishes were announced to us. The truly superhuman feat was that we put in our food order(which was like 4 orders of 8 different dishes), and no joke, food started coming out after a 15 minute wait, and ALL of it was on our table within 25 minutes of ordering. It wasn’t sloppily done either, which was surprising. We all had to ask each other, «Didn’t we just order? How long has it been?» My favorites were the Filet of Pacific Basa and Nuevo Latino Fried Rice. The Pacific Basa was super moist and packed so much flavor. I’m usually wary of ordering fish when eating out because dry fish is no bueno. It came served on this sizzling platter and I may have eaten half of it myself from my end of the table’s portion. The Nuevo Latino Fried Rice had chicharron, chicken, egg, and some other stuff in there, and it was definitely one of the more interesting fried rice dishes I’ve had in a while. I also don’t usually order fried rice when eating out because I figure it’s easy enough to do at home. Yeah, I can’t do what they did here. I was also a pretty big fan of the roast pork we got. It looked like your generic roast pork you get at a chinese restaurant, but the flavoring was different. I think someone mentioned they use bourbon when making it O_O There wasn’t a single dish that was bad, only negative I have to say is their fries tasted average, and the steak was slightly overcooked. The food is probably a 4, but the great service makes this place a 5. I’ve never been to a Chinese-Latino restaurant before, but I was more than happy with my meal here at Sabrosura 2.
