I’m so tired of their shrimps tasting like frozen food. Their shrimps are extremely salty. The crowd is extremely load./ If it wasn’t for the biscuits, I wouldn’t go there. City Island has real fish/shrimps and lobsters.

Red Lobster is not the greatest of restaurants(we all know that). It’s like the Mickey D’s of seafood(we all know that, too). People rant a rave about the cheddar cheese biscuits but I don’t see what the big deal is. They are mushy inside and I have yet to taste any cheese. Still I went there with my sisters on a Saturday afternoon and I can’t complain. My sister and I had the Ultimate Feast. It wasn’t the best seafood I’ve ever had but it wasn’t the worst either. My youngest sister had the Salmon New Orleans, which she enjoyed. The best part of our afternoon was our waiter, Temple, and the drinks! Temple was attentive, professional and made sure that the bartender made our drinks right!!! Our Long Island Ice Teas were on point. Temple gave great service and my sisters and I rewarded him generously for his effort. Red Lobster is good if you just want to kick back and enjoy with friends.

The waitress was very unattentive I saw a waitress which i wish was mine the way she took care of her customers, my waitress Asia never checked to see how we were doing, i requested napkins after my appetizer had arrived and did not receive until i finished my entrée, also whenever i wanted call Asia never to be found, she brought the bill before asking me if i wanted anything else. I feel as tho Asia should be retrained in customer service

What I like about Red lobster is that The lobster over there is so good the problem over there is nice so good like the lobster what I don’t like over there about red lobster is that they need to go up the neat kid entertainment that’s to have five stars for the review they need to work on that so that’s why I would put five stars on the review but right now for me for stars until you put kid entertainment red lobster you better do that or l’ll put 2 stars for your review

Red Lobster in Coop City has poor customer service. I went to dinner with my friends and we ordered our meal. My two friends arrived earlier around 5:30 and I arrived around 6:30pm. When I arrived, the waiter Lisa R, came to the table minutes later to take my order. My two friends were waiting for their order that they placed way before my arrival. Red lobster waitress Lisa R, hardly came to our table to accommodate us. She was absent for nearly an hour and we had to flag down other waiters. When my order came, another polite waiter brought it. When we were ready to leave, another 40 or so minutes Lisa was MIA. We flagged down another waitress who offered one of my friends a free drink for waiting so patiently. When the bill came, Lisa decided to finally show up. We gave her a poor tip and she walked away. Two minutes later when we were all leaving she demanded to know why we tipped so low and was waving the receipt around. Even though she wasn’t worth a response, she caused a scene and I informed her that the tip she received was what she deserved. Majority of the time she disappeared and other waiters were nice enough to accommodate us. She expected to receive the amount to tip and I informed her that the gratuity was optional. I also informed her that it was highly rude to argue with a customer in regards to a tip that she didn’t work for. She slammed down the tip we gave her and said«Y’all can keep that have a good nite». We all said good nite cordially and took back our tip. I spoke to the manager Franklin right away. He was highly respectable and understanding of the situation. He offered us his apology and. a $ 10 coupon each, with his signature and welcomed us back again. He was upset in regards to Lisa R’s actions and informed us he will act accordingly. Apparently her attitude is known in that establishment. I have had friends and family that come to this restaurant over the years and have never had to deal with an unprofessional ratchet, low class individual. This waitress seemed to have felt entitled after Beyonce mentioned this restaurant in Formation lmao. Customer service is relatively important in any work profession. Anyone that considers dining at this restaurant, please be aware that this deranged black girl Lisa R, should not service you. This type of person should not be employed.

Ive been here twice & this last time actually wasnt so bad. We went on a weekday & waited 45 minutes to be seated. That was the bad part. I was expecting that time frame for a weekend but not on a Wednesday. It took long but I wanted those Chedder biscuits so bad so I waited. After the wait tho, things were quite pleasant. Our waitress was such a sweetheart & admitted that she was new & to bear with her. But she did a great job. The food came out pretty quickly, cooked to perfection & she gave me extra Chedder biscuits to go home(maybe 15) Restaurants are all about the service of the waiter to guests & our waitress Katryna cleaned up the 45 minute wait in all areas. But to the Red Lobster establishment @ Bay Plaza in general, your wait time on a weekday is RIDICULOUS! When we got there, many tables were empty in the restaurant either bc you all were short staffed or ppl ended up leaving for waiting too long. Get it together!

My friends and I love this red lobster out of the few we have tried. We are never disappointed with the food and usually the service. The only thing I will complain about is the service at times, sometimes it is very slow, some waiters/waitresses look miserable, and one had the nerve to ask for more tip. Other than those things we usually enjoy coming here!

I’ve been coming here since the early 90s and tho the food quality has declined over the past 2 decades or so, I must say that sitting at the bar versus table service was a much better experience! The bartenders were super friendly and offered suggestions and samples. The food also seemed to come out quicker than when ur at a table. I ordered the shrimp nachos for an appetizer and then the New Orleans shrimp for my dinner. The nachos were pretty good, although I’m not at all a fan of «squeeze nacho cheese». I would’ve preferred actual shredded cheese. The New Orleans salmon was great. It also came with shrimp, and a choice of 2 sides. I choose broccoli and mashed potatoes. I also had a Henny Colada which was surprisingly good as far as restaurant bar drinks usually go. I also had another drink that was amazing, but I can’t remember the name of it lol. I saved the pic so that the next time I go, i can just show it to them!

We had some gift certificates to Red Lobster so we figured we’d have some lunch before doing holiday shopping at the mall. During the weekend lunch hour the restaurant was minimally occupied. The hostess was incredibly friendly, smiled, greeted us with a lovely hello and seated us right away. Our server, also friendly and accommodating came to our table right away with bread to snack on while we browsed the menu. We ordered martinis and a coconut shrimp appetizer. The waitress put in the order while we looked at the menu. Our server was not aware of what vodkas the bar had available but she quickly went to the bar to inquire. The martinis and appetizer were delivered just after we placed our order. Martinis were a little heavy on the vermouth but nicely chilled. The coconut shrimp were heavenly! Crispy crunchy coating and tender perfectly cooked protein. The dipping sauce, a coconut pineapple concoction was divine. Our Caesar salads were delivered right after our appetizer was finished. The salads were fresh, perfectly dressed and topped with crispy croutons. Lunch portions were perfect. I ordered broiled scallops and shrimp scampi with the lobster mashed potatoes for a slight up charge. All in all we had a very lovely experience at the Red Lobster. I’m not quite sure why this restaurant has such a low score. It was clean and we felt welcome and accommodated.

This Red Lobster underwhelmed me. I’ve only been to the Times Square location years ago but I remember really liking that one. Also, I feel that the Times Square location either had more menu items or Red Lobster has downsized considerably. First off, I do like the interior. It’s very«fish shanty on the docks.» I feel like I’m on a fancy yacht. Also, my wait for my party of one wasn’t too long. Although, looking throughout the restaurant, I’m not even sure why there even was a wait? Maybe it is a food service thing? At first, my waitress, who was very lovely, came to me fast, too fast. Saying that I need more time was a big mistake, for I rarely saw her again. In fact, when she came with my plate, she put it down just as fast and went to another table. No «Is everything all right?» Or «Can I get you something else?» No nada until several minutes later after she was done mingling with the other table, a Party of Five! Needless to say, I felt a little slighted. My food was eh. I really enjoyed my Caesar salad and my friend flounder. The latter was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The French fries were generic and the Cheddar Bay biscuits were disappointing! Not at all like how I remembered. They were really dry. Sigh!

UMMMMMMMM Okay so no one really needs to make a review on the food at Red Lobsters. Its literally the same where ever you go. I am simply making my review based off of this location. When we first walked in the place had a stench that was otherwise unbearable but my basic ‘Food is food — stench is stench’ boyfriend still wanted to sit and enjoy some biscuits and freezer burned seafood. The smell was a mix between fish and feet. It literally made my food taste weird. The waiter was not really attentive but when he did come around he was just way to hyper for my liking. It was almost like ‘here take this xanax and calm down’. He brought us biscuits first! No utensils, No water, No PLATES, no napkins — just biscuits! OMG then when we went to pay it was like he didn’t want to leave the table. I mean it took 20 minutes for me to get Ginger Ale but only 2 seconds for him to snatch the check out of my boyfriends hand. It wasn’t horrible, but I have been to better locations where at least if you can taste the smell in the air it tastes like well-cooked seafood and my mama’s cheddar biscuits! I mean really, FEET of all things!!!

We came here(4 ppl) for Father’s Day 2015. There was a 40min wait and they called us right on time. Our server Destine S was super sweet and attentive! She took our drink and app order quickly(coconut shrimp. yum) and they also arrived fast. We placed our orders after the apps arrived but the kitchen was(understandably) backed up but Destine and Chris(the manager) were apologetic and I was highly impressed with their professionalism. Food: my sis and I ordered the 17.99 dinner special. My order, chicken&pasta Alfredo, was DELISH! Her garlic shrimp she said was so-so. This is an EXCELLENT deal! Comes w soup/salad/entrée/dessert. Worth it! My dad said his wood-grilled lobster/shrimp/salmon was tasty. My nieces mac&cheese was BLAH. Overall I enjoyed the food and would come again. Shout out to Destine and Chris: amazing service.

Every time I come to this location there’s a long wait, which is understandable considering the dearth of good restaurant options in the area. My last trip here was for my birthday on a Saturday night and the wait for a table was about 40 minutes long. The service is always great and I couldn’t even tell you about the wait for food because those cheddar biscuits distract from any anger that may come from waiting a while for food. They’re SO good & they’re free so that’s even better! Since it was my birthday my fiancé and I ordered a Lobsterita(which, if I’m not mistaken is part of the whole Lobsterfest thing). When we saw«extra-large margarita» on the menu neither of us thought we’d be getting a drink that was literally bigger than our heads. I had the raspberry on the rocks which I enjoyed(and finished — hey, it was my birthday!) but my fiancé wasn’t a fan of his, it was a bit too tart. The food is alright, much like you’d expect from a seafood chain. Nothing really stands out to me in particular. I do appreciate that they include calories on the menu and the cost is pretty good, though for the quality of food it should honestly be cheaper. With our gigantic drinks, tax & tip, our bill for two came up to $ 70. It’s a great family establishment but if you’re bringing kids beware the long wait to be seated, they’re bound to get antsy.

This review is about cheddar biscuits. They’re free, delicious and I wish I could eat these every day without consequence. I don’t come here because of the atmosphere or the crowd or the cheerful staff. Just the biscuits. Even after the hostess informs me of the 40 min wait just for a table for 2, I take a deep breath and think: cheddar biscuits. Red Lobster is one of my favorite chains. Sometimes you need to indulge in everything dipped in butter seafood with your significant other or a group of friends. Everything in moderation including moderation my friends. There are plenty of non fried items and I usually add veggie sides to make to remove any quilt. Similar to the double cheeseburger & diet coke folks. Portions are huge and pretty decent for the prices. Is it the best seafood you ever had? Probably not. Is it better than most overpriced City Island venues? Definitely. The environment is casual and can be a bit noisy on crowded evenings. Staff will not try to wow you like Joe’s Crab Shack. As long as they bring out those cheddar biscuits the moment you sit down, then why you mad???

Before today, I hadn’t been to Red Lobster in years but the Endless Shrimp was calling out to me! I decided to go for lunch. For a table of 3, the wait was 5 – 10 minutes so not bad. I saw the line get worst throughout our time there though. Our server was nice when we first sat down but as the restaurant got busier, he was nonexistent. Our salads and drinks came our quick but then everything started going downhill. My friend ordered lemonade but said it tasted weird due to the lemon flakes inside it so she asked for a Sprite. The Sprite was flat and tasted like seltzer water. She asked for a Dr. Pepper instead and it was flat. When my friend told the server, he said he would send the manager over. Also, our server put a pitcher of water on our table but took our cups away so I had to keep asking another sever for a cup and for sauce for my shrimp. Endless shrimp orders: hand-breaded shrimp(flavorless), shrimp Alfredo linguine(best one), sriracha grilled shrimp(too much sauce on first order), Parmesan shrimp scampi(bland and I scrapped off the Parmesan), another order of sriracha grilled shrimp(less sauce, tasted better), and coconut shrimp bites(good). Came with Caesar salad and wild rice pilaf. My endless shrimp took forever to come and we never got our cheddar biscuits refilled. The manager eventually came over and was very polite. He gave a free strawberry lemonade to my friend and be personally brought out my shrimp orders and gave me multiple orders at a time. Also gave us a dozen biscuits to go. It did take a little longer to get our to go order we were getting for someone and for our checks. Meanwhile our server would come each time and just drop things off without acknowledgment. He even gave us back our checks and payment without processing them. We arrived at the restaurant a little after 3pm and we left after 5pm. That’s how long it took to eat. I was hesitant to come to this location because I avoid most chains in NYC and this confirmed why.
