I love this restaurant. Everything that I have tried on the menu has been exceptionally delicious. My all time favorite menu item however is the porkchops with vinegar peppers. You get two HUGE chops with either sweet, hot or combo peppers. I get with the combo. Oh, I should’ve really started with when you come into the restaurant. There is always someone to greet you and seat you with a smile. Once you are seated, your server brings out the bread basket, a plate of garbanzo bean salad(it’s awesome) and your water while you look over the menu. Now back to the first paragraph, everything that I have tried was fantastic. My suggestion do save yourself room for dessert. They have an extensive dessert menu. Try the cannoli, I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Their cappuccino is also very good and for people like myself who can not have caffeine, they have a decaf version. What’s best of all besides the quality and the quantity of the food and the exceptional service is the price. Super reasonable.

Pasta Pasta, they say it twice because it’s oh so nice! My hubby advised me that when they first opened they would have a line out the door! On first impressions I was a tad bit disappointed, the outside looked like a chain restaurant. Inside it got better, I loved the walls with decorated shutters and painted motif of windows overlooking sprawling gardens in Italy! It’s not top notch fine dining décor but I felt comfortable right away! What’s a restaurant without a great staff, that’s where«Paco» and his assistant comes in. We were well taken care of in their care! Down to why we are all here, the food! They have a very large menu plus a specials board. Usually this is not a good sign! I ordered straight from the specials starting with their Spinach and white bean soup with crumbled hot sausage in a hearty broth! I LOVED this soup! If I could have licked the bowl real lady like I would have! The entrée was huge and colorful and delicious! It was the Penne Paisano with penne, broccoli rabe, sun dried tomatoes in a garlicky oil, and I asked them to throw in some of that nice, hot sausage!!! This was three meals for me! I had to pack most of it up, but this dish was a winner! My hubby’s dish unfortunately was not a winner. He had the penne Alla Vodka with a very watery, weak tasting sauce. Oh well! Other nice points of our dining experience was the garbanzo bean salad served with the bread and a perfectly made Manhattan with the right amount of sweet vermouth served in appropriate glassware!

This is a reliable restaurant. I have been going here for over fifteen years and the food is always great! Its my comfort food. They never fail. The penne a la vodka is the best!

I’ve enjoyed every meal here from the minestrone soup to the entrees to the chocolate cake and cappuccino. The service is friendly and good, from the maitre d’ to the servers to the take-out/bar. Lots of locals in the dining room. The sauce on all pastas is delicious. Big portions; we often have leftovers to bring home. Best dishes: rigatoni alla segreto, paglia fieno, ziti, Sunday gravy. They do a great job on events too in their side room, available for rental. Make a reservation on Friday or Saturday night or holidays.

2014, Christmas Eve, dinner was delicious, service was good, with one exception, Waiters constantly clearing table when others continue to eat, leaning over, almost leaning into my plate several times, while I tried to finish, I’m not a slow eater but the service was more like a fast food EATANDGETOUTATTITUDE unusual for an italian restaurant

I live in the neighborhood and passed by with my mother. Great food and great prices. The staff was friendly and food was reasonably priced. Great that Pasta Pasta is so close. I will return.

The food is very tasty and servers work hard. I ordered a special and found it to be a little oily, but very good. Likely will go back.

Ate here after wanting to try for years. Unfortunately neither I nor my wife was wowed. The food was just Ok nothing to rave about and especially for the high price. What restaurant with fountain soda does not allow refills at a cost of almost 3 dollars for a small glass of ice and some soda. The glass was completely filled ro the top with ice. This was an instant turn off. Glad we tried it but unfortunately not somewhere we would return to.

I’ve lived near this restaurant for almost a year now and hadn’t tried it until a few months ago. A couple of friends and I decided to eat there because we were in the mood for Italian. I thought it was just going to be like any other neighborhood Italian restaurant, but I was in for a surprise. The Italian was pretty authentic. The menu was in Italian, but they had their daily specials in English. I had to use all the bits of Italian I learned during my study-abroad in Europe to try to interpret the menu. The service was good. The staff is always smiling and paying attention, ready to refill glasses of water and to ask if you are enjoying the meal. The food comes in fairly large portions, so you’re likely taking food home. I went with my fiancé and a friend and we didn’t have room left for dessert. We had to take cheesecake to go! The food is above average, full of flavor and very satisfying. My fiancé had the chicken parm, which was deliciously cheesy(I love cheese) and the chicken was tender and crunchy. The pasta was well-made and the sauce was rich. This is a great place for a casual date or a meal with friends or family.

I have gone here several times to eat mostly for a late lunch or early dinner. The food for the most part is good to above average. However, the restaurant can use a renovation. Also, some servers are better than others that can make the experience more enjoyable. It is not a place I would make a special trip for or for date night it simply lacks ambience. But, if in the area and want some Italian food at an affordable price point this is the place.

Went here last night with my lady on a whim and we loved it. Food and service were great. The portions were huge, so your definitely taking home some left overs. Had a great family vibe in the air, tables are close together, some may not like it but I enjoyed it. Great for family’s and couples.

So this is the place where my love of Italian Cheesecake started. The food here is good, I used to come here when I lived in Morris Park. After trying their Italian Cheesecake, I was hooked! This ricotta cheesecake was exactly that, not like others that claim to be yet still contain a lot of cream cheese in it. The ricotta was the star with in this version and although it looked heavy, it was surprisingly light with a touch of lemon zest you could see and taste. It was beautiful. Being nearby I had to pop in and grab a piece to go home with. Still just as good although, I didn’t see the zest, I still got the light lemon flavor. Last time I was there was about 8 years ago and the same staff is still there :) Waited 8 years to go back and so happy I made it finally!

I ordered shrimp in wine sauce with pasta that tasted good but my fiancé’s chicken parm with pasta was very salty and had lots of tomato sauce. I ordered Tiramsu for dessert because I read from someone’s review that it was yummy. So I ordered it and I did not like it at all. The service was horrible. I won’t be going there again.

Headed here for dinner. It’s a low key, no frills type of place. Once we sat we were served waters, bread and a plate of garbanzo beans with tomatoes and red onions. Service was attentive… but there again there were only 4 other occupied tables during the mid-week prime dinner hour. Here’s what we ordered: –calamari fritti($ 11.95): not too breaded, served with cocktail sauce. Average. –chicken cardinale($ 17.95): daily special. 2 pieces of chicken which were topped with cheese. Chicken was moist, tender and the sauce it was cooked in was full of flavor. –fettuccine salmone($ 14.95): large portion of fettuccine with pieces of smoked salmon and peas. It was okay… more buttery in taste than creamy.

Pasta-Pasta is a real traditional Morris Park Italian restaurant that takes you back to the golden years when the neighborhood was at its peak. The neighborhood is still great and this restaurant exemplifies good old-fashioned Bronx Italian cooking. The ambiance is great and its a good spot to take a significant other for lunch or dinner. Parking however, can be an issue but they do have valet. Went here for lunch after a business meeting yesterday and was given on the house, a small chickpea salad and some Fresh Arthur Ave bread. So, a nice start. I ordered the eggplant parm. The eggplant parm was made fresh to order. However, I would not rate it up there with the likes of Tino’s Deli or Mike’s Deli on Arthur ave. For me, I feel that Eggplant parm needs to sit, for a few hours at least before serving. Don’t get me wrong, it was tasty and tender, but for those who have experienced top of the line eggplant, the dish needs time to rest. The portion was very big. I had to take half of it home. I was going to rate this experience 3 stars because of that, but when I reheated my food when I got home, the eggplant was much better. I probably didn’t order their strongest dish, as diners around me were loving their meals. I will definitely be back to try another dish and update this review. I recommend you give it a shot.

I must disagree with previous reviews who comment on the service here. An elderly man waited on us, and he made absolutely sure we got everything we need when we needed it. Water? Bam, got it. Parmesean cheese? Bam, got it. Bread? Bam, got it. Oh, more cheese? Bam, got it. the menu was in mostly italian, so we asked our elderly waiter to explain many of the items to us. He was patient with our ignorance. I left the restaurant just as ignorant as I came in, but the 5 seconds of enlightened knowledge on italian cuisine allowed us to choose the right pasta for me. highly recommended for anyone in the area looking for a relaxed place to eat.
