When I returned to this medical center, after 3 years, the registration clerk assured me that even though my previous health insurance provider could not be deleted from my records, MMC would not submit my claims to them– only to my current provider. Imagine my surprise when I received a rejection of claims from my previous insurance provider! Calling the business office to investigate this error was interesting; the billing office didn’t have the current insurance information. The billing clerk to whom I’d spoken told me that once they verified my current coverage, the claims would be resubmitted. Somehow, I expect more«oops, wrong insurance provider» issues with MMC– mainly because they refuse to delete the previous provider information from their records. Hmmm… sayonara, MMC!
