Love Estrella. Eating there for years. Wish they would get their prices straight. I get a switch of price depending who serves me. Forever love the habichuelas and rabo

The food is excellent, their chicken is tasty, juicy and tender. I go there for their Roast chicken. I also recommend their fried chicken chunks and their Mofongo is cheap and delicious. Props to the cooks they have some good sazón(seasoning). When dining in don’t expect premium service. The waiters are unattentive and rude especially when it gets really crowded. If you are looking for a taste of Dominican food this place complements it.

Was there for lunch and had a great experience until the music started, «too loud». The food was excellent and the price very affordable. I had the fried boneless chicken Dominican styled. The place seemed cleaned although not impeccable. Lack of soap in the restroom, but the facility was clean. The waitress was a little lost with the order. I was there with a group of 14.

I completely love this place, I only live 2 blocks away, it’s a great life saver since my mom doesn’t cook every weekend, the food is amazing.

This is exactly the way I love my Spanish food. With love and just pointing ordering the food. This place is typical Bronx Latino food shop. 4 people lunch drinks less than $ 50. Which is iota when I am the only on who is with loot. Rice & beans, yucca, platinos, pollo, mofungo, café Bustello. Waitress only spoke Spanish which I really appreciate.

For some reason this is categorized on Unilocal as a Mexican Restaurant, which it is NOT. This is a Dominican Restaurant located in Grand Concourse. They have awesome lunch and dinner specials. This is as good as it gets Dominican food and cheap! I always order the Pollo al horno, with rice and beans, tostones and salad. I am a Fan and always visit this place when I am in NY! Always!

Stopped here on the way back from Bronx Leb Hospital. Food was outstanding and made fresh to order. Maduros(sweet plaintains) still sizzling from the pan. Stewed chicken had a deep rich flavor like someone’s grandmother made it. Steak with onions was tender and well seasoned. Portions for full entrée were enormous. Easily enough for two. Caution however that the place looks horrible and tacky from the outside but is actually a reasonably attractive and comfortable casual restaurant on the inside.

My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for almost 9 years food still continues to be delicious,(coming from a Dominican wife who loves her kitchen. It’s home away from home.) Though the previous owner had a great team of waitresses this new owner has these teenagers working there and they need to step it up!!! It’s a bit frustrating but still at the end of the night foods great. It would of been 5 stars if this dated back about 2 years but b/c of faulty service it’s a 3.

I am giving it two stars because maybe… just maybe… IF u r straight off the boat from some super back-country shantytown in the Dominican Republic, this MIGHT in some ungodly way remind u of home?! Idk, but for everyone else… Hell to the nah mang. Horrible service. I swear this waitress heffa was drug in off the street this morning bc she is unable by any means to describe ANYthing on the menu! What comes in the Picadera(sampler)? ’ I dunno’… What comes in the Ceviche ‘hmm…I dunno’. RAS Woman, what do u know? ‘I dunno’. Music so loud you can’t hear. My friend(not really my friend at all) over here dancing in her bra and a net shirt swearing she styling. Knocking over our drinks. Have mercy… Waiting forever for our food. And I bet it won’t even be good. Wait, did this mess just come back and ask us to repeat what we ordered?! OMG how is it that everything we ordered to drink has conveniently ‘Se Acabo’ or ran out upon our request for second rounds. You better be into drinking Dominican Rum all night my friend, otherwise expect to be VERY thirsty. Oh and please, please respect yourself enough to stay long enough to catch the Karaōke portion. You’d kick yourself for missing it. I swear.
