Supermarket is small, always stocked but closes extremely early. Always use cash and make sure to ask for a receipt with this establishment, I was once incorrectly charged on my receipt. The cashier decided to leave a tip for herself! Hmph… Only come here for emergencies.

The best thing about this place is the convenience of it. It’s closer to my building than Stop and Shop down on Broadway, so it’s fine if I need to pick up some food basics. Watch the scanners, however. Several times they’ve scanned at regular price when the item was on sale. Another thing I noticed was that the signs on the shelves indicating a sale are often misleading, or placed in front of an item that’s actually not on sale, but you’re led to believe they are.

Now called Food Dynasty… seriously? There is not much different with this supermarket, formerly C-Town, since I was a kid. It’s overpriced, not super clean, poorly stocked, and a good amount of the time you’ll be going home with something sort of similar to what you wanted. A real convenience for grandma, literally in my case, it also keeps grandma hours by closing way too early for a supermarket. It’s actually barely a supermarket, more like something halfway between a small grocery store and supermarket. Still it’s the only place in comfortable walking distance when you live around there.

Ok, C-Town has definitely improved recently. They had a lot of interior renovation done and the place looks cleaner and is better-stocked. The amount of homeless patrons has decreased, or perhaps I haven’t noticed because it’s winter right now and I don’t go by there too often. They have prices comparable to Key Food but still generally more expensive than Stop&Shop and Garden Gourmet.
