Foo Hing Kitchen

So I use to frequent this place with the previous owners who were the best. Since they sold the new owners are the worst any and every time we’ve attempted to eat here, my boyfriend and I have gotten sick. The sauce dishes are usually oily and under seasoned and they are down right nasty… yes I said nasty. They touch all things with ungloved hands after they’ve scratched their face… nose etc and touch dirty money.
And trust the consistent pending grade from the health dept confirms what my stomach has told me. And I’m sorry that they have gone down hill since they are so conveniently located around the corner from my apt when the late night cravings hit for wings in ketchup and hot sauce.

Prior to today I hadn’t ordered from Foo in a minute. But I couldn’t find my menus and my niece and I didn’t feel like going out so when I the restaurant came up as a result of my Unilocal search I was reminded of my past pleasant experiences. The speed of delivery was excellent, especially in light of the inclement weather. The delivery guy was pleasant. I enjoyed the chicken wings which are flavored with a particular spice that is not used a some other restaurants– could b nutmeg. My niece loved the shrimp broccoli with pork fried rice. The reason why I didn’t give them a fourth star is because they didn’t prepare my favorite dish– chicken garlic sauce with mixed veggies as well as they had in the past. The garlic sauce was overly oily with a watery finish, the veggies were overcooked and the chicken was somewhat flavorless. Could b that they were having an off night or a new chef or the evening rush. But u can’t go wrong with their wings!

Foo hing is cool, I always order my Chinese food from them. Good over the phone service despite the obvious language barrier. Quick delivery time too since it’s right there (im super close to the shop). My only two complaint is that they née to clean the store front every now and then, it does look dirty when I do go order in person and the food is good but can be oilly and fatting which they could tone it down by adding different seasonings.

They have really good Egg-​foo young. They are pretty quick w the orders and the restaurant is pretty clean. I have always been a fan of their Chinese food compared to other restaurants.

I’ve been ordering at this place for years. They deliver. They are fast. They are reliable. And the food is consistent. There’s no seating here if you plan on walking in.
Tip: order before 3pm and the meals are cheaper. Anytime after, the meals are about $ 1 – 2 more because it’s dinner prices after that.
