This place is closed, the horrible service wasn’t calling back for more regulars. It’s been shut down all summer but still on grub hub wasting people time. Should of never opened, just those who feel they are entitled that give horrible service.

This place is amazing. Not only are the empanadas good the food off the menu is really good. The service is slow if you are not getting empanadas, however, they have always told me that in advance. The best bet is to call ahead and go pick up.

I wish I could give this place less than one star, but fortunately for them Unilocal forces me to give them a star. My friends and I were on grub hub looking for places to deliver to Fordham University, that’s when we stumbled onto this sorry excuse for a restaurant. When coming across their ad on Grubhub my immediate instinct was to buy from here because i thought I could share some Latin American culture with my roommates(worst idea I’ve ever had). I have visited an empanadas monumental in the Dominican Republic and my father had told me good things about their location on 207, so i assumed that this restaurant would live up to its name. I was terribly mistaken when i ordered from this place and assumed that they were actually a restaurant. I ordered through grub hub a nearly $ 40 meal for my roommates and I which consisted of multiple Yaroa’s, empanadas, and country club sodas. After placing the order online i wanted to call the restaurant to let them know what dorm I need the food delivered to at Fordham U. After calling three times and waiting two hours the delivery man finally made it to the wrong side of campus and we had to walk to get the food. First off the food was cold and disgusting. The Yaroa was cold, soggy, and just looked nasty as hell. Considering the fact that I have eaten Yaroa serveral times i knew that the one Empanadas Monumental sent were bad. The empanadas were clearly old and just because I was starving and paid for the food I attempted to eat one which ended up in me getting sick. The food was absolutely atrocious and a sad excuse for Dominican Restaurant. I am both embarrassed and pissed off for ordering from this place. Based off of the reviews that I’ve read i doubt that they’ll be in business much longer and I only wish that I had gone online sooner to see their reviews. If you’re looking for Dominican food DONOTORDERFROMHERE. For any fellow Rams reading this, you have been warned.

This was my first time ordering from this place. I ordered two Yaroas for delivery along with two passion fruit juices. It took over an hour for delivery. The food was cold and the passion fruit juices tasted awful. The yaroas would have been really great if they would have been hot. The seasoning was good. Don’t bother with the juices. If there is a next time for me, I will stop in for my meal.

Absolutely incredible. Food from this restaurant USEDTOBE good but they had the nerve to send me rotten lettuce, cold soggy fries when I asked for plantain and PINKCHICKEN. Everything was wet and disgusting. I can’t believe they had the nerve to send undercooked and rotting food. Unbelievable. NEVERAGAIN! I waited TWOHOURS for delivery at that. These people DONOTCARE about customers. Order at your own risk.

This is a nice addition to the neighborhood — a very bright clean small store, selling a great variety of empanadas, and smoothies. They also sell other small snack items, not all of which I’m familiar with — quipes, for example. The folks here are very nice. My favorite empanada is the corn chicken and cheese — they also make an eggplant one!
