Electric Paradise

I have a horrible thing called Pityriasis rosea (pit-​uh-​rahy-​uh-​sis row-​zee-​ah) is a common skin disease that causes a rash when Over Stressed.
This rash usually disappears on its own without treatment but it’s like adult chicken pox and a rash combined in one. Hell on wheels!!! You can expect to see the rash for about 6 to 8 weeks. I am about 22 days in, and could not take it any longer.
So my Dermatologist recommended I get some UV light because in NYC right now there is very limited sun. Not knowing much about tanning I ventured here. I forgot the girls name (sorry) But I spoke with about 4 other tanning places in the area she was so sweet! and patient, and professional and truly informative.
I opted for the standing bed. It was such a cool experience. I am African American so tanning is not usually a common thing, but for my health and to stop this itching it truly is a life saver.
The place was clean and quiet and the front desk disposition truly sealed the deal. I will be back, and also tell friends at my work place about this place.

Nice little salon, pretty good beds. I come here mainly for their INSANELY inexpensive spray tans that I PRAY they never change the price of. Great spray tans at unheard of prices. The only thing is that the staff is not very knowledgable about the beds and the products. Before I moved to the bronx I worked for years at one of long islands top tanning salons and they were super strict about making sure we as a team knew as much as possible about our services and products. We attended annual seminars and expos to stay on top of the game. That said, I think I speak for all experienced tanners when I say it can be frustrating when trying to inquire about a lotion or about the bulbs in the beds and you get an unsure or bullshit answer from the staff. But all in all I keep coming back for the spray tans and when I do use their beds my only complaint is I wish they cleaned their equipment better. The girls are however so so nice and I adore their little station in the hallway with hair products, deodorant spray, body spray and candies.

Love it here! Staff is super friendly. The overall environment is very clean and trendy. They have magazines, vending machines, and candy in the waiting area. And post tan they have a table of body spray, lotions, towel etc. I usually go there for spray tans, and the ladies do a wonderful job all the time. Oh and the bathroom is super clean, and that’s a plus for me. :-)

I’m not someone that goes tanning regularly, but I am one of those dorks that tans right before a vacation so that I’m not pale on the beach :)
I’ll come here a few times a year to get my base color going.
The girls working here are always sweet and willing to help. The beds are always clean and they leave you a towel. I like that they have a table near the rooms with lotion, tissues, face wipes, body spray, deodorant, hair ties, etc.
Also, in the waiting area, they have a stash of candy and magazines to keep you preoccupied as you wait for your bed.
They used to have another location on Williamsbridge Road but it closed down — now they have a location in Morris Park which is just as good.

Love this place. The staff are super sweet! I’m pale as can be and every year when i come in they help me tan nicely without burning or being orange with product suggestions. Beds are strong and clean. Can’t complain!

Clean and friendly place. I’ve just started indoor tanning and the girl was very knowledgable and showed me everything that has to do with it. They have great discounts, such as 30% packages for students and a free tan with lotion purchase. It is very clean and they have a small table with extra towels, hairspray, and lotions outside of the tanning rooms so you may prepare post tan. Overall an excellent place to go for indoor tanning, even if you are new at it.
