I never write reviews, but I had to for this one. The absolute worst service I’ve ever had. Ever. There are other things I could say, about the food, price, etc, but the service was absolutely horrible. No greeting. I sat myself. I asked the people who seemed to work there questions and they would just grunt and nod in response.

That last review was harsh but I have to support the small businesses in my hood. Ok so its not 5 star Spanish cuisine. service can be a bit slow and ok maybe if u get the last chicken of the hour before they bring out the new batch, it maaaay be a bit dry. But… ITS A CUCHIFRITOS, with tables, in the hood! You know what Ur getting when Ur going in and I love it. when u know how to work around the little annoyances its a perfect place to get good(notice I didn’t say great) Spanish food. Everyone always goes there to enjoy it residents, tourists and Yankee fans. Its been around forever so they are definitely doing something right!

Methinks not is correct! This place is horrible! Everything about them is horrible, from the food to the service they provide. This restaurant can’t get the simplest thing right. Their chicken is dry, their empanadas were cold and greasy– YUCK! Let’s put it like this… the Chinese take out a block away make better tostones and maduros than this place. Think about that… I work around the area and have given this place many opportunities but they fail each and every time. The only reason they’re in business, I think, is because it’s one of two Latin American/Caribbean restaurants in the area– believe it or not! The only two things worth having is the sancocho and their espresso. However, I do suggest you have some spare time because their staff moves at the rate of molasses, even when it’s not busy.
