Growing up in this part of the Bronx, this place wasn’t around. It wasn’t until I came home from college one break and this place popped up on my radar. I finally got the chance to try it out recently and I will definitely be coming back many more times. A place like this is much needed on a street like Williamsbridge. The décor inside is very casual and would be a great place for a quick lunch either sit-down or take-out. I got the grilled Ruben sandwich and for about $ 5, I got a very generously sized sandwich filled with more slices of corned beef than I was expecting. The sandwich itself was very good and the meat wasn’t overly salty, which I’ve had the unfortunate experience of getting a few time from other places. If you want a great value meal fast, definitely check this place out!

I went here a couple days ago. My friend and I had planned to stay there to eat, but their AC wasn’t working and it was too hot! So we decided to carry out instead, what we got satisfied the both of us. She got the Rosemary Hero and I got the D&G Special Burger. Both were full of flavor. The only thing was, the hero was kind of dry because of the bread. Otherwise, the food was wonderful! Along with that, we got the Fruity Tutty smoothie — containing strawberry, banana, pineapple, and mango I believe. The best part: it was made from fresh fruit! That sealed the deal for the both of us. Also, the worker there was incredibly nice to us. The service was excellent. An excellent place for lunch! We’ll definitely return!(Fix the AC for summer time though!)

Really disappointed me lately. Maybe the place is under new management? There are more items added to the menu on grub hub but the service has gone south. Also the shakes are watery. I ordered fried talapia today and it was suppose to come with rice and beans with a side salad. They instead gave me more salad but no rice and beans. Called grub hub and they told me the place doesn’t make hot food on Sundays. Funny because why would you then make hot platters but not even bother to make rice and beans? Also, they should have given me fries or something instead of an extra side salad that I wasn’t originally planning to eat anyway since I wanted talapia with rice and beans. I don’t even care about the salad but they thought somehow extra scraps of lettuce is an equal replacement for rice and beans. Really? They didn’t even bother to call to tell me about it, no, just not put in one of the most integral part of the dish, also the reason why anybody would order a platter. Yeah, maybe I wouldn’t notice.

I love D& G. The staff is sooooo sweet and awesome. I have rarely found something I didn’t love there. the most amazing is the buffalo chicken wrap which I order with ranch dressing instead of ceasar dressing… amazing. makes you wanna slap your mama. Also they make fresh fruit smoothies that are lovely, fresh juice(carrot is my favorite, with ginger and apple), and so many different daily dominican/spanish specials… Really good place and definitely has become a beloved neighborhood spot. OH and this is in Morris Park, in my opinion, not in Pelham Gardens.
