Good place to grab a sandwich. I ordered the Reuben and a bowl of matzo ball soup. The Reuben was good except the meat was very fatty… which I am sure some folks appreciate… but not for me. I ended up picking most meat out. Matzo ball was very bland. First time having it so I didn’t know what to expect. Hubby had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and he said it was ok. The best part of this place was our waitress. Such a friendly lady

The half-sandwich and a bowl of soup is huge(the sandwich portion is a full two slices of bread with a normal amount of meat compared to the overstuffed full-size sandwich on the menu). Great customer service and friendly wait-staff. Go during off hours and you’ll be fine. If you go on game day or during court lunch hours, you’re not going to have the best experience. They stock Cel-Ray in the fridge to go along with your pastrami and corned beef sandwich.

FYI: Review on just the pastrami/corned beef sandwich. Haven’t tried anything else yet Possibly a 3.5… Not Katz, but not bad at all for the price. Giant portions with copious amount of meat, Meat is juicy, savory, complex, fatty and lean portions. Rye bread and mustard are decent. Comes with a bag of pickles and some coleslaw which are nothing to brag about. I also hear the fries which are more like potato wedges are good. Overall: with limited options, this just may be the best pastrami/corned beef in the area. Will have to explore further…

good food, convenient location to the stadium before a game… fits right in in the area.

The food was actually pretty good and decent. I had their Belgian Waffle Deluxe — the waffle was amazing! So was the bacon and ham along w/the eggs! However, the wait time for seats and the service was a little slow. But I do give them credit because this was after a major running event in the Bronx — Bronx 10 Miler along w/a Yankees game that was coming up in the afternoon.

The food is absolutely AWESOME! Customer service? Not so much. A female waitress I had wasn’t very pleasant. She never checked to see if I needed anything and when she delivered my food said«HERE».

This diner is not consistent and the quality of some of there food is detestable. I’ve never sat down to eat but I’ve always ordered delivery or pick up. There gyros are mediocre the cashier even recommended chicken over beef and it was still bad, they also dnt have lamb gyros. There chicken fingers/sandwich is dry and nasty it’s disappointing because there supposedly known for there sandwiches but I wouldn’t trust it from the quality of food I’ve had from this place.

We’re always trying to come here since its in the vicinity but parking is always horrible. Well who knew that we were gonna find parking on a snowy messy day like yesterday. We came in around 11am and the place wasnt crowded. Btw you seat yourself. I ordred French Toast deluxe with eggs over medium and Hubby got a turkey bacon omlette with fries. Food Hit the spot lol. Coffee was alright… ive had better at other diners. Our waiter was good not rushy and prices are affordable which is always a plus. If you“re around the way drop by and grab a bite. :)

No complaints about this place. The service is great, the price is right, it’s very close to Yankee Stadium and the food comes out quickly. I had buffalo wings and sweet potato fries($ 9), which I enjoyed. The chicken soup($ 4) was also delicious. The waitress was sweet.

In comparison to the other places near the Stadium this is a really good choice. The 5 for 4 bucket of beers is a real buy compared with the local sports bar and you can hear yourself talk. The only negative is that the quality of the meat seems to have gone down over the past few years and the this time the pickle was lousy.

Great little spot right outside Yankee stadium. The place seems like it hasn’t changed in years, which gives it a special feel to it. Food good service good and priced fairly. It’s only a block from NYY stadium. We were in and out within I would say 30 minutes. Waitress was a doll.

Good food, good service. I was pleasantly surprised. I was in the area for jury duty and stopped in for lunch. My order was placed right away, food came really fast. No complaints. Definitely recommend this place. You go Court Deli!

Been coming to the Court Deli since I was a kid. Always a great eating experience. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Court Deli always seems to deliver. Love the pastrami and corned beef! Prices can’t be beat either. You could feed a family of what it will cost to feed one when inside the stadium. Court Deli rules! Only bad part is the rest room, but most are not glamorous to begin with!

From the looks of other reviews it sounds like the take-out /deli sandwich options are the safer bet because the service and diner food are pretty terrible.

I expected to be dodging bullets while around this area of the South Bronx, but I was pleasantly surprised. I was actually looking for a place to sit for about an hour before my court appearance and looked at many places in the area. The McDonald’s was too crowded, the other venues seemed to be dangerous, but this place got an A from New York City. It also had people in suits inside, so I decided to go with this one. Food: the whole wheat bread must have been sitting around for a while — not fresh. The two eggs with bacon and potatoes were okay. The coffee tasted surprisingly good! I was served orange juice in a tiny plastic cup that looked the same as the one my doctor uses when he asks me to urinate in it. I actually drank from this cup. I am forever scarred. Service: seriously slow. Not that the food took very long, but the people just aren’t responsive.

Musta went on a bad. Heard the pastrami was best in bronx, it was boring. Got the turkey and pastrami on rye with slaw and Russian, bland. Bland, bland, BLAND. No flavor and turkey had a deli/high school cafeteria flavor. Russian was even bland. Weird. Fries had no salt or pepper, why??? I’ll try again some other time. But for now count me in as a non fan, uninspired and soul less.

Pretty standard and reliable, just across the street from the courthouse so it’s super convenient for either sit down or take out if you’re around there. If you’re getting something that comes with potatoes, I’d recommend that you get the fries — they’re ginormous steak fries, cooked perfectly. Other than the egg shells in my eggs this AM, it’s fairly forgettable. Good service, clean. Seat yourself when you walk in, or head to the right to place a to-go order. You may be treated to a waitress who sounds remarkably like Rosie Perez shouting the orders to the cooks if you’re seated in the right place :)

The first thing I will say about Court Deli is that the service is very slow, but well worth the wait! The menu is huge, breakfast is served all day, there are regulars that come here that know the staff on a first-name basis, the staff all wear Yankee gear, and the portions are huge. My friend and I came here after a Yankee game recently and were surprised upon receiving our omelets, we also received steak fries as well as toast. The prices are decent considering how much food you get. They also have ‘beer buckets’ where if you buy 4 beers, you get 1 for free. This is my new go-to spot after a game.
