Everyone who’s known me for more than 5 minutes knows that I absolutely LOVE Chipotle. If I pass a Chipotle, I go inside. Even I’m not hungry. I stopped here after work yesterday and what a huge disappointment. I’m generally hesitant when restaurants usually only found in the city or Westchester come to the South Bronx, because the quality almost always goes down dramatically. The girl at the beginning of the line was extremely rude and clearly wanted to be anywhere but there. The peppers and onions which are usually vibrant and crisp were dull and soft. The green peppers didn’t even look green anymore, but more beige-ish. The barbacoa was extremely dry. There wasn’t even any gravy in the tin like there usually is. The lettuce was soft and looked old. I sat at a table which was dirty. Another girl came over and started cleaning the tables. She then came to my table and started cleaning it while I was eating. Not just wiping things off, but literally spraying whatever it was she had in the bottle 2 centimeters away from my open plate. She then gave me attitude when I asked that she not spray chemicals on my table WHILE I’m sitting there waiting. I’ve heard terrible things about this location but decided to give it a shot anyway. Never again. I’ll continue visiting the Cross County and Ridge Hill locations.

I have been on a chipotle side line for exactly 20min waiting for one person to update the meat in the containers. I saw one guy cut all of the meat while he knowingly sees a line waiting. Everyone who is waiting is waiting on the steak and he decides to update that tray last. What happened to customer service? Its not chef to table, but his actions spoke very loudly to those who waited. I guess thats what happens when you dont rely on a tip. Now its been 23min and the head server keeps telling him that we are all only waiting on him. Rude. Thr other girl who made my burrito was great and sweet. Thank god!

So, I definitely have to add another star because based on my last few trips here, they’ve improved. The last 4 times I visited, the hot sauce/napkin station was clean, and I’ve witnessed workers in the process of maintaining it. Service has improved and the lines are now pretty much the length of your standard NYC Chipotle line, or shorter. Kudos to the management and staff for getting it together.

It’s Fordham Road people… are you expecting better? Your better off going to the primo on the corner and his roach coach.

This place, to me, isn’t any crazier than a Manhattan one with the lines. It’s in a really high traffic area so I expect it to be crazy between 2pm-7pm. I can’t speak to undercooked meats here being vegan, but the food overall is bit salty. My only complaint is that I think this location could benefit from more staff making sure the station and seating area were cleaned regularly. They looked a bit overburdened during the rush hours.

I’ve been to many Chipotles on the east and west coast, and this one stands up the same as any other I’ve eaten at. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes not so much, but I’ve yet to have a really bad experience here. This location is right in front of a bus stop, and Fordham University and the Metro North station are directly adjacent to it, so the lines can get crazy long at times, but that happens at all Chipotles in my experience. I’ve noticed when they’re super busy that the dining area doesn’t get cleaned well, which is kind of inexcusable– someone should be in charge of that. Sometimes they’re slow, other times very quick. It’s a mishmash at this location and it really just depends on when you happen to be there. I’ve been in and out of there in 5 minutes, and other times it’s been a 30 minute ordeal, but I put up with it because it’s close to my house and I am a hardcore fan of their burritos. Overall, this place has been fine for me. I only give it a 3⁄5 because I’ve noticed a couple times that the rice seemed dry or maybe undercooked, but other than that I’ve had no horrific experiences with the food. I’m a vegetarian so I can’t speak for the preparation of the meat here, which has apparently been an issue with some customers based on prior Unilocal reviews.

Cool location but the staff needs training. While waiting on them long ass Chipotle line I noticed the girl making bowls and burritos flirting with every cute girl they helped. One of the cute girls even got extra guac. To each their own but I want extra guac too. The girl who was making the bowls was very smiley with the women on line but dry at hell with the males. lol It was pretty funny. I just want extra guac cause I’m cute too, although I’m not your vice.

When they first opened up, there were super long lines, but every new Chipotle has this problem. The employees all seemed new, so service was a little slow, but the portion sizes were extremely generous for a Chipotle. After awhile, service started to deteriorate. I like ordering the chips, and they can’t seem to get it right at this location, usually soggy. I have visited this location several times after, and it seems every experience is worse than the last. The portion sizes are no longer generous, they are always out of something, and the staff knows that and complain about that while customers are there as well. I haven’t been able to get my fajita mix for my past four experiences at this location. They are lucky there are not many options around here.

This is by far the SLOWEST Chipotle I’ve ever been to. They either need to hire more workers or train their current workers to work at a faster pace. Food wise; the food is good. But, the wait to order your food is horrible!

HORRIBLE!!! The Employees are the worst of the worst and the register girl was so rude. There’s no proper management. The line wasn’t even crazy and took me ½ to order there were only 5 ppl ahead of me. They will start your order and then just walk away for a drink of soda. Tables were dirty and when asked to clean them they were rude about it. They didn’t have grilled peppers and the chicken had run out plus there were no lemon wedges. I had my chicken bowl to stay but I couldn’t finish it so I asked for a kid and bag and the register girl was so nasty sucking her teeth and all. It was the first time me here & I was super excited to finally have a Chipotle in the BX, but unfortunately it will be my last time here. I’ll stick to my downtown ones.

This place is always very packed and the service is slow. I’ve been to other locations where the line made it to the door, but they managed the flow of traffic with ease and rapidly at that.

I’m so happy there is one in the Bronx. Especially on Fordham. Food is good, service was fast. Just turn down the AC a bit. It was pouring outside and I was scared I would catch a cold once I walked in. Can’t wait for them to get their liquor license.

This is the third time I am coming here. When it first opened, the service was good and the line moved. Today, it sucks! The service was bad, there was no lettuce and no utensils. None of the employees appeared to be interested enough to get me lettuce for my burrito bowl or utensils to eat it. There was about 8 people on line and they were still SLOW. It’s the LAST time in coming to this place.

Better than the one on 56th and 8th Avenue that’s for sure. Unlike the people in 56th, they take their time(albeit a bit slowly) and they were really nice for me, that’s for sure. The only thing is they keep leaving me big chunks of avocado in my guacamole and i’m like«are you serious???» Whatever. It’s the closest one towards me, so that gets a star. Another 2 stars goes for service, but it stops at 3 because of the guacamole.

I am glad there is a Chipotle in the Bronx. Not just one but three in the Bronx. This is the closest I can get to during my lunch hour. I ride my bicycle to get there from my office. It is faster than taking the Bx15 or Bx17 bus. I don’t have to trek to Manhattan all the time for a Chipotle meal. The staff is friendly. The line is long, but it’s not bad.

I agree with the other comments posted. I was so excited for Chipotle to get to The Bronx but after 2 visits so disappointed. It’s been the worst Chipotle service I’ve ever experienced! The workers are highly inexperienced and clearly there is no efficient management taking place. I hope someone in Chipotle in a position to create some effect, positive change is paying attention to the feedback and can provide workers with serious training in all areas of food service immediately.

Worst Chipotle ever. They’re slow, they take their sweet time, they start to prep whatever you’re ordering then randomly walk off. I asked for guacamole and chips, girl who worked there tried to give me the cup of Guac with guacamole all around the cup, she didn’t bother to clean it off until I looked at her funny. BTW my rice in my burrito wasn’t fully cooked

First things first Do not come to this location. I repeat doooo not come hereeee! They served me RAWCHICKEN. I will upload the picture to show you guys. I am gonna call the health department and report these people! I waited on line for an hour the workers are terrrrible! Why didnt they transfer the workers from downtown? These people have no idea what they are doing. They were closing up and I guess they rushed when they cooked the chicken but All I know is that I ate some of it and I was sick for 2 days. They couldnt wait to kick people out of the place. Once the time came they kept saying lock the doors lock the doors! And screaming and acting ghetto. Its disgusting. You people are serving us raw chicken some damn nerve! They had the nerve to ask If i wantes a refund. No I want you to hire normal good workers who can do their job correctly. This is crazy! Stay Away unless you want worms in your stomach !! Wheres the district manager? Fix this place asap or it wont last.
