China Inn Buffet

Don’t come here! The flyer as a set price for children under 8 and then they try to tell you that it’s under 7. The food is ok but the bathrooms are smelly and gross. They watch over you like a hawk which makes you uncomfortable. Before we even got to open our cookies the lady walked over n demand a tip. Again, watching over like a hawk. Told the manager that the way she request a tip was rude and he was even more rude. He even pulled out a travel guide??! Whatever. The point is these people have no manners and after a bill of almost $ 90 I would think they would be less rude. We have her tip and a little extra since she needed it that badly. We won’t be coming back
FYI for those saying tip is common sense, tip is actually what you give the server for GOOD service. It’s not mandatory and you don’t treat costumes rude or bully them for it. Hence why you call it a TIP.

I used to love this place a few years back, but recently the food quality and the service has went down tremendously. The waitresses do not provide good service and hawk you down for tips. The greater the service, the greater your tips will be. Save your money and don’t eat here.

Chicken was under cooked and bloody… Then the hostess began to bring chicken to my table and cut it open telling me that it was a one time thing.

SCAM Alert!!! I brought my younger cousins here for dinner while babysitting one evening; and the Asian man standing in the front lobby with a blue tshirt and blue jean shorts started yelling at us «How Many! How Many» as soon as we stepped foot inside. My cousins are 12,7,& 5 and the man wanted to charge me $ 68.00. He said «3 adults and 1 child»!!! Ummmm… What… After «negotiating», he brought my price down to 2 adults and 2 kids and charged my card $ 52.00. Upon sitting down and placing our drink orders, our server told me that the Manager, aka Man in the Blue Tshirt and jean shorts needed to speak to me in the front. When I returned back to the front, he said he still needed to charge my card an additional $ 8.00. Claiming he «didn’t charge me right»!!! WHAAAAAT!!! So a total of $ 60.00 for 3 kids that ate 1 plate each of cold pizza, sour Mac & Cheese, and a bowl of froyo! HELLO!!! Kids aren’t gonna eat 5 rounds of Crab Legs!!! Anyway! NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN!!!

This place was horrid at the very best. Besides the food was awful, the service was worse. To top off the entire experience the waitress tried to keep all the change as a tip, mind you she had to be bugged to take a dirty plate which there wasn’t many off as the food sucked. She had to be bugged to get a refill, then she wanted like a 20 dollar tip. My best advice is to avoid this place at all costs.

The only reason they get 1 star is because I can’t leave it blank. The food was cold, many of the steam trays were empty, the crab legs were swimming in more water now than they were when they were alive, the tables needed to be wiped off, they use popcorn butter for dipping butter for the crab legs… just an overall cluster fu€k! I wouldn’t go back if it were the last place on earth to eat! The price is insane for the garbage they serve and call it food!

This review was long over due. First of the price is not good. The service was alright but their watching like hawks expecting tips. Now let’s get to the most important part: FOOD. YUCKKKKKKK !!! The Food Was Horrible !!! And looked as if its been sitting out for about 2 days and constantly it was re heated. And the space looked extremely disgusting. DO NOT EAT HERE !!! It’s not worth the money. I’m a HUGE Fan of buffet but NOOO THIS Deserves to close

Food is soooo cold and the waitresses are thirsty for tips that we left. Its just unprofessional and awkward for customers. If I could give zero stars I would.

Worst place I have ever been food is horrible and cold… waitress begs for tips and when you give them they demand more which is very unprofessional… this restaurant need to be reported to better business Bureau.

The food is okay/​average, but they are extremely rude! Their attitudes are unacceptable. The last time I came here the waitress waited right next to the table as we finished our food, and put her hand out and asked for her tip. I was so taken aback by her rudeness I told the manager who didn’t seem phased, and did nothing about the situation. I’ve read some of the other reviews and others have experienced the same poor service. I will not return.

Typical Chinese food prices are reasonable. I usually take food to go.

The food wasn’t bad. The only thing that was bad was the service. Waitresses begging for tips is really ridiculous. My
Friends and I tipped our waitress and she held her hand out and demanded we pay her more. Very rude and just awkward.

QUANTITY OVER QUALITY!
It really isn’t bad overall, surely it can get quite crowded but there’s really nothing they can do if a party of 6 won’t bee able to squeeze in at a table for 4. There was a decent variety of food/​dessert and drinks. Not to mention they finally renovated the bathrooms. They were kind of gross, but it’s so much better now.

lol, most of these reviews complaining about this place are all about «paying the tip.»
FIRST of all, the waitress shouldn’t even be asking for it.
OUT OF MANNERS, you are suppose to pay AT LEAST 15 percent REGARDLESS.
It’s just sad how some of you whining and taking our your inablity to be munificent on the employees.
That was just me trying to not say the word «cheap».

the absolute worst chinese restaurant i’ve been to. horrible, cold and tasteless food, limited variety and the waitress swarm and literally beg for more tip (15%). do not bother coming here.

There must be some labor laws being violated in this place because the minute you walk in there’s a sign that says «YOU PAY THE WAITRESS». Which makes these people literally beg for the tip.
I’m completely appalled by the way three «waitresses» came to out table and begged for more money than was tipped. Mind you we tipped them 15% and they still wanted more.
It makes me so uncomfortable that it made me barf.
I WILL NEVER BE BACK!

If you have other options, you should go somewhere else.
I have been to this particular buffet twice before, eons ago but my latest trip will definitely be my last.
Food was not good. Salt and pepper shrimp (bland, absolutely no flavor), fried shrimp (decent), crab legs (meh, can’t really go wrong with boiling these, but they were anorexic), stuffed clams (not sure what the stuffing was, but it was not good, nor was that cheesy substance on top of it — not appetizing). Egg roll (not seasoned) — you get the point.
To add insult to injury, they had no crab meat rangoon. Not cool. NEVER have I been to an asian buffet that did not have crab rangoon.
NO ALCOHOL. sigh. Guess it’s kid friendly. I still think they could at least serve beer.
Alot of reviewers spoke negatively of the service yet I had no issues with the waitstaff — they were actually pretty nice. My pink lemonade refills came quickly, honestly without having to ask. The syrup in the machine seems to run out quickly however the ladies are good about changing out the drinks.
I did notice that when it was time to pay the bill, another waitres stood by our table along with our original waitress and would not leave as if to let us know indirectly that they meant business and were demanding a good tip. I tip well so no issue here but it was a bit tacky.
I won’t be back.

This place is seriously BAD.
Now everyone knows that Chinese buffets very rarely have excellent food. But this place– I can’t even describe it. I’m kind of upset that I’m wasting my 200^th review on it.
Their Chinese food is HORRIBLE. Their Singapore Mei Fun had— oh I can’t even say it– IT HAD NO CURRY!!! How do you even make it without curry? Their meat tasted really funky and weird.
The only good things were their garlic bread and macaroni and cheese.
Not to mention that it’s pricier than the buffet on Bartow Avenue, which I hate to say it, but has far better food than this one. The waitress is also really rude, you pay before you sit. We didn’t order any drinks so we didn’t feel a hefty tip was necessary, but man did she give us the staredown of the century with an awkward passive aggressive «thank you, THANK YOOOOOU… *nudge nudge*»

I have definitely experienced better. It’s cheap and it’s Chinese food dished out in mini troffs. The food is comparable to the neighborhood Chinese food spot and for the price it’s not too bad but the customer leave much to be desired.
I have seen arguments ensue but the worst would have to have been a family that commandeered the crab leg tray and brought the entire container to their table to devour. I know its «all-​you-​can-​eat» but damn! Not the type of people or environment I want to be in.
