Caribe Bar & Lounge

This place is very nice in the day time. Lots of good food. I would not want to eat here without getting drinks. There portions are generous. But, if you are not drinking their are a lot of places with the same menu within a block. The place is really spacious with a section for eating and drinking and even hookah.
I would say the best option on the menu is the chicken monfongo.

Its the only bar around that area so its nice enough but ive been at better. If you need a drink I guess you have no choice

This is the only place serving alcohol on a Saturday afternoon in this neighborhood. Everything else is fast food or takeaways and shopping. Caribe gets 2 stars just for being the sole sit-​down and drink establishment in the area.
This place was hard to find and appeared to be closed even after we had entered. It’s clearly a nightclub but the door was open. The staff didn’t really know what we were doing there (the feeling was mutual) but after a day long hike one just wants a drink before heading home and if the staff is willing then so am I.
We bellied up to the bar, ordered rum and cokes (because gin and tonic appeared to baffle the bartenders) and proceeded to decompress over our $ 8 drinks. We were there and gone in about 15 minutes. Nothing redeeming about it at all, except for the fact that you can’t get alcohol anywhere else in the area. Seriously, what’s up with that?
