Love that place near Arthur Avenue, a true must-do when I;m in the area. The pasta is absolutely incredible from the egg noodles to the ravioli to the ink pasta, everything is a hit. When the pasta is cooking at home, you can smell and taste that doughy difference, it’s truly incredible. Because you can freeze it up as well, I love to stock up on fresh ricotta or meat and spinach ravioli for a quick amazing dinner at home even weeks later.

These are the BEST ravioli’s in the world. They are fresh and creamy. You will not find a better tasting ravioli anywhere. There are two catches: 1. They only take cash. 2. They are a tad expensive(see #1.) I’m not sure where the«inexpensive» comes from because I buy a ton of raviolis from a ton of stores. These are a tad pricey. The other homemade macaroni is equally excellent. You will not be disappointed.

Went to pick up some more fresh pasta and its the best period! We came on a Sunday so they only had fresh spinach and plain pasta which we got some of each. We got dry squid ink and basil and can’t wait to eat them. While waiting for Chris to cut the pasta I noticed they had porcini mushroom raviolis so I brought a box. Chris heard we were planning on making more stops so he went a head and packed the raviolis in wax paper and aluminium foil to insulate it. Not only this place have great pasta, they also provide great service.

Love this place. Freshest pasta you could get. If you’re at the Bronx zoo, you need to pop in there

i went in to buy pasta and the woman who helped me was also taking cash from customer and used her bare dirty hands to grab my pasta out of bin and put it in a bag. No gloves No hand washing… disgusting this place needs a lesson in sanitation.

I try to coordinate my visits to the Bronx’s botanic garden with a trip to Borgatti’s. They have the best large cheese ravioli ever. Plus, the store is absolutely lovely.

The wife and I get a box of meat ravioli and box of cheese ravioli from Borgatti’s each time we’re on Arthur Ave. Even from the freezer and they come out wonderfully with a quick boil and some nice red sauce. The pasta remains thin and supple and the meat is especially flavorful. You’ll never want supermarket ravioli again.

While I’ve yet to try the egg noodles from this shop, the ricotta ravioli is out of this world! Highly recommended. I won’t buy my fresh pasta anywhere else from now on, it is worth the two hour journey to the Bronx from my apartment.

I love Arthur Avenue. It’s the«real» Little Italy of New York City. This business is one of the reasons why! Bortatti is is family owned. I mean, when you’re there, the family/owners are there running the place. I grabbed the ink squid pasta last time I was here and it cooked up so amazingly. I’ve also had the fresh ravioli, which comes in a variety of flavors. Everything is amazing and fresh. There’s a lot of care put into the products here and it shows. I think what you buy should be cooked or frozen pretty soon after purchase, but why would you wait! Fantastic place to visit and purchase from. A New York City gem.

I came here, I bought a pound of Squid Ink pasta, one pound of spinach whole wheat pasta, one pound of fresh made noodles, 100 ravioli. All for about $ 26 can’t go wrong, the fresh ravioli was very good. Will go here again.

A beautiful, historic, and culturally significant Pasta making business. Located in the heart of Little Italy in the Bx, where there is increasingly less and less Italians and Italian owned businesses. This is a TRUE Italian business and thank God for that. The quality of their pasta is superb. This is where my family still makes the trip to buy Borgatti’s famous ricotta Ravioli and other specialties as well. Come here and purchase a couple of pounds of different pastas to take home, you will surely enjoy every single one of them! Support Italian owned businesses in this neighborhood before it turns into an Albanian :(pasta shop or a Starbucks!

When visiting Little Italy in the BX I go for a few things and Borgatti’s is one of them: Likes: — Freshly made pasta which you can take home to boil. I always get the Egg Noodle and Squid Ink pasta… yumm! — Fresh made Ravioli which is also very good. Just make sure to cook them within a few days as it does get spoiled fast. Cash only so come ready to spend

Outstanding Ravioli — the small ravioli are great for the kiddies and so delicious we barely use any sauce on them. Cavatelli and Basil Pasta are also some of our favorites!

The most beautiful elegant historic. shop in all of Arthur Ave: Magnificent Windows! AND The pasta — PURE absolute heaven. I came 5 different times –2 times arrived too late. 2 more times lines out the door… finally Friday at 11:30 am I got in(just before a class or school children). I had to stand there 5 minutes, eyes wide open, taking in all the charm homespun décor– placed there by grandmother(standing there smiling) with great love. Beautiful age old displays and a porcelain hand painted cat on the shelf. Super touch, Gorgeous . The dried pasta: mushroom, squid, tomatoes, basil. Whole wheat Etc etc etc. the fresh pasta created stored in large rectangular sheets soft fresh. They bring out a hand made 6X10 inch card w actual pasta samples attached showing diff widths offered to cut your pasta Beautiful touch. Either fresh egg or spinach Then carefully mixed shaken in front of you with small handfuls of corn meal, quickly wrapped in this white wax paper, placed gently in a brown paper sack(best way to keep it till cooked). I would love to do a water color of the inside of this gorgeous historic shop . What a total experience of all senses.(Best with no crowds).

UGH(in a good way) Borgatti’s is one of those places that makes Arthur Avenue famous — people from all over flock here to get a sample of their amazing fresh pastas. This place is the real deal — the definition of old school Italian. It’s not uncommon to find a line to get into this place, and every holiday or special occasion I find myself at Borgatti’s picking up a few boxes of pasta. While there really isn’t a bad thing to get here, my two favorites have to be the manicotti and the cheese ravioli — outrageously good, you can really taste the difference in quality and freshness compared to dried/pre-packaged pastas. If you make a trip to Arthur Avenue be sure to stop here and pick up some pasta for Sunday dinner — buon appetito!

I love them… for their product, for their service, for their suggestions and for their existence. I travel all the way from NYC, just to have their product in my fridge. Thank you guys, visiting your store is such a pleasure. Always.

I love a spot like this. Totally old school and very high quality. They do just a few things and they do them very well. The price is higher than what you’d pay in the supermarket, but it’s still great value as you’re getting some of the best fresh pasta in NYC. If you’re used to eating frozen ravioli out of a microwavable container, drive over the Bronx, pick up a box of fresh spinach ricotta ravioli, and I promise you it’ll knock the socks up your Aunt Connie’s ass. Guaranteed. Visiting Borgatti’s is a must if you’re going to stop by Arthur Avenue. It’s easy to miss this place since it’s not on Arthur Avenue proper, but it’s just a minute or two away and definitely worth the walk.

This store is one of its kind. No store(most likely in all of America) sells fresh pasta that comes even close directly to consumers. The ravioli is off the chart. There is a place called Esposito Social Club across the street. Go to the guy in the front and tell them you want to join.

Still simply the best. Cavatelli this time and the ravioli — the best around. I still love the egg noodles the most. Mr. Borgatti’s family sure is running his business well. RIP Mr. Borgatti!
