Simpler Times

I will definitely go back. We went in as a family.
The Italian Beef was great with thin-​sliced beef, spicy Giardiniera and au jus. Beef was hot, but fresh and, while it could have been warmed, very tasty.
Fries were garden variety bag and prepared fresh, but not special.
Onion rings may have been from a bag, but they were still prepared fresh and pretty solid.
Really only tried a bite of pizza, but the sauce is made by the owner and pretty tasty.
Hot dog was a classic Chicago-​styled beef dog with sport peppers, onion, tomato, poppy seed bun, mustard and relish. It was pretty awesome.
Complete the scene with a classic bowling machine, art deco bar and great service– you’ve got tla good idea about Simpler Times. The owner stopped and introduced herself too and shared a but about her food – it’s food she loves.
Best pub food that I’ve had in a long time-I’d go if I were you.

This place has an AUTHENTIC Chicago hot dog that will absolutely blow you away! Pair it up with one of the many excellent beers that they have on hand, and you’ve got yourself an excellent meal.
Also, they have live music in the beer garden every Saturday evening so if you’re ever looking for a relaxing experience that involves a cold one, a great meal, and sweet tunes, look no further than Simpler Times!

Came across this place recently and it’s great! Chicago style beef sandwiches and hot dogs along with a great selection of beers and wine coolers. The owners make you feel like family.

Beautiful Bar, Owners are awesome people, and the food was really good. The Vienna Beef and Chicago Hot Dogs were awesome!
They just opened up and so I had to check it out. It’s worth a stop to try the Chicago hot dogs. I had never had one before, and now I’m so glad I did. It was so good. The Beef sandwich was moist and had a great flavor. I know, it’s a bar, but it’s always nice when they offer good eats too.
I’m not a big beer drinker, but they had Bacardi Sangria wine coolers, so I was happy.
It has a nice outside area too.
The employees were very friendly and Nancy is so funny.
