Riverman Trail Ride and Stables

Great experience. Best trail ride ever in the mud, in the river up hills down hills, AMAZING! A must do while in Broken Bow.

We have been on many horseback rides in amazing locations like Beaver Creek, Colorado and Palos Verdes, California and this one topped them all! We crossed rivers, climbed 400ft hills in trees (and descended!), rode through cow herds and saw a bald eagle. We even had a companion dog with us named Cujo who came along and was quite entertaining to watch and provided a funny distraction during lulls in the ride. Highly recommended!

I absolutely loved this place. Its a little bit out of the way but very much worth it to go see. The sights are beautiful and its very peaceful. The trails are very easy even for unexoerienced riders. The people are also very friendly and personable. If you are inexperienced they give tips to help you stay on and be more stable in the seat while your riding. They dont move to fast but its not so slow that it seems as if your not going anywhere either. If you are looking for somewhere to ride this is definitely one of my suggested places. Good luck!

I went with my family over this past weekend. We were staying in a cabin in Beavers Bend and thought it would be nice to go horseback riding for the one hour trip. There were 15 of us that went including 4 children under the age of 10 years old. We arrived and everything went ok. The staff matched us all with horses and away we went. I thought it was curious one time when I looked over and saw the male trail boss steering his horse thru a clearing of trees and there were a bunch of stumps and broken off tree stems and was not a safe place to run a horse thru. Then a little further up the trail I was riding behind my sister and niece. I look back to see where the rest of my family was and I see the male trail boss come off of his horse and closed hand fist beat the crap out of his horse and then get the whip and start whipping the horse. I was in totally disbelief. I had never seen such a thing and even if he is «training» the horse, very doubtful this is the way to train a horse and definitely should not have happened in front of the children. My 6 year old niece started crying and wondering why he was hitting the horse like that. Then as we got back to the stable, he was putting the horse up in the pin (not sure what you call this exactly) and whipped him again before releasing him. I was so sick. It was really sad and I don’t ever write these, but I really needed to share this. The rest of the hands were really nice and did a great job, but this guy was unbelievable.
