My wife and I go on holiday a lot these days and inevitably I steer my hunger train into the nearest barbecue depot. It is how I judge small towns across America!!! We were in the area for a long weekend and some long awaited trout fishing. We didn’t catch a single fish but we did have a very decent lunch. I went in with low expectations and walked out with a smile on my face and the satisfaction that, even in this remote enclave and frankly tourist driven destination, there could be tasty treats tucked away just for us!!! I say that with the recollection that the place was small but full the entire time we dined. I almost always get some variation of brisket to which I did not wane this visit. My wife tells me after ordering: «I bet you it is CHOPPED brisket.» which is no measure of any decent pit stop worth it’s weight in salt. Much to our chagrin, it WAS sliced and moist and smoke laden and stinking good. She got the pulled pork which is her go to and was equally as pleased. Attentive service and expedious food preparation were the rounding points. We will be back. Please please please keep up the good work. Ohh and please please please loose the awful country twang a dang blaring music that is dang near unbearable.

Great little place to eat near Beaver’s Bend. Barbecue sauce was sweet with a kick and my husband liked it so much he took a bottle home. Right next door to a old time photos and ice cream shop/mini golf place for the kids.

Stopped in while we were staying out at Beaver’s Bend. Sooooo good! I had the chopped brisket & hotlink sandwich with coleslaw. Wife had 2 meat dinner: turkey & sausage with baked beans & potato salad. Hers also came with a dinner roll. I don’t usually like turkey, but it was great! Wife loved it all, especially the potato salad! My sandwich was great! I asked for hot bbq sauce & wished I’d had more, just because I would’ve eaten it on everything! The coleslaw was okay, but the brisket made up for it. It was meaty and not fatty. Our waitress was very prompt and sweet. There is a gift shop attached, which we visited. I only wish we weren’t so full so we could’ve checked out the ice cream parlour next door. Maybe next time!

Really good brisket sandwiches, fries. Fried okra was super fresh and good. Sauce was sweet and spicy — only issue was that they pour it on way too heavily and you lose the flavor of the brisket. Order sauce on the side and put it on yourself. They are connected to a great ice cream store(looks brand new) and have a week old mini-golf behind them… it has an Old West town theme. Super cute and brand new.

Great place up just north of Broken Bow and close to the lake. Excellent BBQ brisket, hot sausage and ribs. There is also a souvenir shop, old time photography and ice cream parlor attached.
