There are great professors at NSU; this I do not doubt. So, to the individuals teaching inspired minds to think more and more: this one isn’t about you. Northeastern State University feels– at times– like a factory. When you enroll, you sign a waiver basically accepting that you’ll adhere to any and all of their policies and guidelines and really anything else they dream up. This is basically a way of them washing their hands of all of the many things they forget to tell you that you have no way of knowing without… being told. It’s a bit like a riddle where you don’t get to know the answer until it’s too late. You’ll be faced with random deadlines for random checks and expectations you didn’t know exist. Failures with the websites and internet the school provides are blamed upon the student, which doesn’t work for me. I say this as someone looking back– I didn’t feel I had any other options as I was shoveled through this institution. Ultimately, it doesn’t seem the end-goal of this college is education: it’s money.

Great place to learn. Not too much for working parents though. Great staff.
