B&L Relocation Specialists

I hired B&L Relocation «Specialists» labor to load my 5 bedrooms of household goods on to a 26ft rental truck. After several confirmations, they DID NOT SHOW UP for the move, did not contact me with and explanation, and after 5 weeks they still have not returned my calls.

As a retired military officer I have experienced over a 12 relocations throughout my career. I can honestly say that B&L Relocation «Specialists» is the MOST DISHONORABLE, DISAPPOINTING, INCONSIDERATE, UNRELIABLE, and UNETHICAL company that I have dealt with over the past 20+ years. I learned of B&L though
and contacted them directly to ask a few questions regarding their qualifications. The owner, Bill, greatly appreciated that I contacted him directly and had me book my move directly through his company, sidestepping the 3^rd party company that directed me to him (so he didn’t have to pay the «finders fee» to that company)…I should have recognized the lack of honor and integrity of this company at this point, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and booked labor (3 men, 3 hrs) to assist in loading my 26ft rental truck approx 3 weeks into the future.
Bill called me a couple times during the course of the next couple weeks to confirm the date, the last time being the night before the move. On that night he called to tell me that his crew wouldn’t be able to make it at 9am as scheduled, but would be there at 12pm instead because they were working on another job with the «van lines». I told him that wouldn’t work because I needed to be OUT of the house by early afternoon. After adjusting his schedule he confirmed that he would have 3 men there at 9am as scheduled and promised.
9am…No show. 9:15am…no show. I called Bill, no answer, left message. I repeated this at 9:30am, 9:45am, 10am, 10:30am and I finally gave up on them at 11am. I called both the owners cell phone and the main office. They NEVER showed. It has now been more than 5 weeks since that day and I still have not received a return call with an explanation or an apology from this company. As a result, instead of paying about $ 300 for labor, I was forced to hire a full service moving company, at the last minute, at a cost of over $ 4,000 to load my 5 bedroom home onto their truck and move for me. As a disabled veteran, I was unable to load by myself.
Since no one ever returned my calls, I can only assume that the «van line» job was more profitable and they decided that job was more important, deciding to «no show» my move.
B&L Relocation «Specialists» is the most unreliable, unprofessional, and unethical service company that I have had the displeasure of dealing with over the course of more than 20+ years as a military officer.
I understand that things happen, and perhaps there was a legitimate excuse for not showing up on time. But to completely «no show» with no explanation, is inexcusable.
I highly recommend that you DO NOT USE B&L RELOCATION «SPECIALISTS». They are a shameful, dishonorable company.
