Tommy Doyle’s continues to advertise that they are doing twin boiled lobsters at all three of their locations. However, twice now I have gone to the restaurant and been told that they are NOT doing this special. They are lying to people in their advertising to get you to come to the restaurant. Pretty sleazy! Their food is not good enough to be using this bait and switch technique. I will not be going there anymore!

Tried for lunch for the first time. Ordered a fried haddock sandwich. The fish was fresh, and a decent serving for the price. The staff were all very friendly. The place was clean. They had a decent crowd for lunch on a Friday, which is always a good sign in my book. Wish my sandwich had come with some lettuce and tomato. I know… a small thing and proably nitpicking… that’s only thing preventing me from going with a full 5 stars

Would be a 5 star rating except they brought the annoying bartender from Stoughton over there a couple days a week(Gina, you guys really need to get rid of her). The food is great, I hear they grabbed a bunch of the Christos staff after it closed. If they had a raw bar here like the Easton one it would be perfect.

I love the ‘doyle’s pubs’ — although, i do have to add that i went to the ‘newest’ restaurant over at the ‘sidelines’ locations in brockton, as per usual the food was right on point. Not able to say the same for the service,…definitely s l o w & lacking if you are NOT a regular. I will go back to Doyles again, but most likely the N. Pearl St. location… where i feel it is more welcoming.

This is a great neighborhood joint — nothing fancy but the food is consistently good and I come here about once a month. I think some of the appetizers are a bit pricey but the main meals are priced fairly for the quantity that you receive. The servers are friendly and attentive. Sometimes the crowd can be a bit on the gruff side so I’m not sure how comfortable I would be bringing children here as the night goes on but early on it should be fine.

Food is pretty good. Had meatloaf and other half has a burger. Service was just unfriendly and slow. Not sure if I will be back or maybe just order out. Second time with unfriendly service. 3rd strike you are totally out. A word of wisdom to this place make your waitresses love their job treat them well and they will give better service. Happiness is contagious!

I am giving Doyle’s 5 stars because EVERYTIME I go in, I not only only get great food(always consistent!) but wonderful service! Bella, Corinne and Tish are always on their game. I have never had to ask for another drink — it just magically appears! Napkins are brought without having to ask(a big plus when I go out!) I have to suggest the Flat Bread Pizza and the Chicken Kabob Dinner! Also, their seafood is definitely worth trying. Their burgers are huge and flavorful! I always end up taking home half! Try Doyle in Brockton, on East Ashland Street, you won’t be disappointed!

Ate here with my husband yesterday for dinner. Had buffalo crab Rangoon, twin lobsters, and a bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. All delicious. Our server was excellent. Would definitely come again.

I’ve been to Doyles probably 5 times now, and won’t go back again. The service and food received Tuesday night was just horrendous. Our server, Pat, took our order and brought us drinks, then proceeded to ignore our table and stay on the other side of the restaurant for the 36 minutes it took to get a pizza and burger. She never offered refills or told us that our food would take a bit longer. The restaurant was mostly empty, so there’s no excuse. On top of that, my crispy thin crust pizza, was soggy, not crispy, and the burger was burnt instead of well done. When we brought the bad food to her attention, the server blamed my wife for ordering well done, and said it wasn’t burnt. A well done burger is not charred and crunchy. The manager couldn’t be bothered to come out of the back room and handle dissatisfied customers themselves either, rather left this rude server to belittle us and blame the customer for the restaurants shortcomings.

I visited this place for the first time on 4÷6÷15. Sat at the bar for a few before the bartender came over. She was obviously coming off her shift and another girl was coming on. Ordered a beer and asked for a menu. waited for sometime before the girl leaving her shift told the new girl to «take her order». Food was good, clam roll… no one ever came back to see how my food was or would I like another beer. Waited and waited. No one even looked my way. Finally made eye contact with a guy behind the bar, asked for my check, paid and left. Bad first impression. Won’t be back.

agree with most of the posters here. Food and ambiance is good but service needs a boost. Since there are only about 3 restaurants in Brockton they really don’t have to worry about competition though.

The interior looks great and is clean. I’ve been there four times now. Our first time was a pleasant one. Very attentive service, food out in a reasonable time and was great. From presentation to portion to taste. Cocktails had good pours. The location is very convenient to where we live– a bonus! Each time we visited, the service and food experience has declined. From very slow inattentive wait staff(for example: need to ask for refills, reminding them we wanted a lime with our drinks, no updates on why it has taken 45 minutes for an appetizer, tater tots!) to improper temperature request(med-rare burger comes out as charbroiled and dry) and chicken is burnt, burnt! Additionally, the cocktails served in double shot-sized glasses(very small) is lacking liquor pour. Vodka and splash of tonic means just that, filling the glass maybe ¾. Not the other way around, tonic with a splash of vodka. Not a show stopper for us. I do hope the service and food improves to keep us coming back. Otherwise convenience of location alone is not going to persuade us.

Went there for a few drinks. Great renovation on the inside. They outside is petty much the same. I only had drinks there. Atmosphere is a lot better than before(when it was sidelines) food looks good but didn’t try yet so only reason why I give it a three. Until I eat there

The place looks nice. That’s as far as it goes. I’ve been there twice and each time the service was horrible. The wait staff seem like they are trying, but there’s never enough of them. They don’t really greet you with much of a smile either. It takes forever to get your food and then when you do get it, it’s a crap shoot. My kid ordered a medium well burger and it was a hockey puck of char. The fried fish stuff is pretty good, the scallops were moist. That and the fact that they prepared us a new burger to go(once I finally got the waitress’ attention again) is the only reason they get 2 stars.

They did a great job renovating the place. TV’s everywhere you turn. Relaxing atmosphere. The bar staff and waitstaff are all very good. Lots of transplants from Christo’s. The steak tips are the best around. Their bar style pizza is ok. They also do a twin lobster for 13.99. Great deal. But their lobster roll is phenomenal!

update 4÷27÷16: I’ve eaten there a number of times since my first reviews, and the management has greatly improved the service. Now it’s a place worth going to. Oh, and I forgot to mention that the men’s room has the funnest hand dryer I’ve ever used. A friend suggested we eat here because her daughter was pleased with the food. We agree: the food is excellent. And the place is new and shiney. BUT the service was abominable. The Manager of this place should be put on notice of termination if s/he doesn’t improve the service. If you like good food, don’t mind waiting for it, and don’t mind waiting and waiting for the friendly waitress to make another appearance, then by golly, this is the place for you! And that, my friends, is it in a nutshell.
