This place is like a morgue! It stinks like there are dead people here or that something rolled up and died in a corner. I went in to try this place out just after the New Year. Usually at that time everyone is working of their holiday meals. This place was pretty quiet and now I know why. The equipment is old and all taped up. The doors, walls, floors, everything is dusty dirty smelly. Some of the equipment looks like it should be in a museum. All that and the prices aren’t even near competitive at all. I really had to wonder why there were people in there at all? Don’t they know they can get better and for cheaper? This place is one of the closest to my home but I think I’d get sick going here it is so moldy, dirty and gross.

I don’t know if everyone would agree that TGA is a Five Star gym. It is exactly what I look for in a gym. It’s small, there are no cliques, it’s not a meat market, and the weights are just as heavy as the more expensive gyms. For only $ 20 down and about $ 20/month you can’t beat the price. There are plenty of treadmills, bikes, and elliptical machines there to go around even in the peak hours. Most of the nautilus machines are very new, and the older ones are clean and well taken care of. I don’t venture over to the free weights side of the gym to often, but like everything else here, it’s a well kept area. The people who work there are more than happy to take the time to show a new member how to use each piece of equipment. They don’t have trainers, but the help is more than happy to give you tips. The clientele is all business here. You go in, get in your work out, clean up and go. You don’t have to deal with guys sitting around a machine talking and not working. To sum it up, TGA isn’t the prettiest gym on the outside, but it serves its purpose. There are a dozen gyms closer to me I could go to, but I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
