Had my road test today and my instructor was Scott and he was so nice and made me feel very comfortable and helped to ease my nerves. There was no wait and it was a very pleasant experience:)

Came here for my road test today. I believe my examiner was Scott — he was great. He wants to pass rather than fail, it’s not easy but as long as you follow his directions and listen to the best of your ability. You will leave there a happy camper like I did! :)

Came here for a road test. Awesome experience. I was asked to do everything expected of a road test. But the examiner was excellent, he was very friendly and me feel comfortable. Would recommed it to everyone
But the wait time is long like all other RMV, i had to wait for 1 hour for it. But all well that ends well.

I went here on Wednesday around 11AM to renew my license because I needed to get a new picture taken. I was nervous the wait would be bad because I had my 3-​year-​old with me, but I was there for probably 15 minutes total. There were a lot of people waiting, but there were also a lot of people working. The first woman I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The second may have been the least friendly person I have ever met, but at least she was quick! That’s all I really cared about!

Aweful place, Aweful staff. The atmosphere is dreary and just sad. God help you if you don’t speak English or if you are on the quieter side. You will be yelled at or ignored. Go prepared, ask questions and try to get there early. Lines are ridiculous.

This is a cautionary tale for any parents out there waiting for their kids to get their licenses! The system the Massachusetts RMV has in place to even book an appointment is ridiculous! In doing a search on their online booking tool with a two month window, within a 200 mile radius of our house– there were no appointments available for almost 2 months! You have to literally hunt for an open appointment. And getting through to a human at the RMV is really difficult. I did leave a message to receive a call back within two hours — four hours later I did get a call. They helped secure an appointment at an RMV 2 hours away from our house — otherwise we would have had to wait over two months for an appointment!!! When the day came to drive to the Brockton RMV my daughter was so excited for the test. She aced the whole test except the parallel parking portion of the exam. They had her parallel park between two tall skinny cones, which she had never been trained on. She didn’t have her normal points of reference (lining up w/​the mirrors on the car in front) — so it completely threw her off. It was very stressful and she failed. It was a long 3 hour drive home w/​traffic of her crying. So parents out there — practice with cones before you go to Brockton! Our driving teacher told us he’s never heard of anyone using cones before and that it would make it extra hard for new drivers. Now I’m back in the frustrating zone of trying to secure a second test appointment. Something is very wrong with this entire Mass RMV system. It should not be this difficult or take so long to get a road test that takes 10 minutes. Nor should you have to travel 2+ hours to get to a test site! Very disappointed. Awful experience.

Today I took my road test here, and i passed. My examiner was tough but supper nice. He asked all the questions and asked me to do parallel park and three point turn. I was a little nerves, and he tried to clam me down and talked with me. I recommend this place for all want to take road test.

I wish the people here would talk like normal human beings to customers. I know some of the customers here are idiots, but please, do not stoop to their levels. It is not that hard to be polite.

I went here for my road test and thought it was an ok experience. I didn’t need to wait in line so everything happened pretty quickly but The the rmv is REALLY Crowded in general. DONT PLAN ANYTHING FOR THE REST OF THE DAY.
Although, the place looks a bit ugly, the service is really nice. People are very patient despite having a train load of ppl in there. I was called in and my examiner was carletta. She was nice and even complimented me! She tested my hand signals, brakes, everything prior to starting and didn’t act rudely at all. She even said my name many times to show a personal relationship. I did fail my test though because i didn’t wait long enough at stops and my parallel parking wasn’t close to the curb. But she did warn me and really looked out for me. She tested everything parallel park, 3 point turn, hand signals, parking on hills, stop signs, etc.
I would say its a nice place to take your road test but just be cautious and don’t let the nervousness get the better of you.

Agree with the previous reviews for Carletta. She can be tough, but is nice and ultimately wants you to be a safe driver for yourself and others. I was really nervous about taking the exam after failing once before, but she actually made me feel calmer behind the wheel. I hardly had to wait once the RMV opened, though I had gotten in line 30 minutes earlier. The road test was right near the RMV and I had to 3-​point turn, reverse in a straight line, and parallel park. The parallel parking portion of the exam was between cones, so I didn’t have my normal reference points of the car in front, but I still managed. So happy with my experience here.

Go to the Plymouth RMV instead of this one. It is much nicer, less busy, and the people working there are a lot more friendly.
I took my road test here years ago. After waiting for what felt like days, I finally got called to do the test. The guy evaluating me seemed like a jerk. I tried joking around with him because that’s what I do when I am nervous, but he didn’t respond positively to anything I or my stepfather said. I thought I did well on the evaluation, but he failed me for «speeding in a school zone» even though the school area didn’t have the signs on that said to slow down in their area (so I went the regular speed limit instead of the lowered limit).
None of the employees there seemed happy and I can’t say I blame them; The place is constantly packed to the rafters with people. Wait times are ridiculous and half the time you are stuck standing while waiting due to the insane amount of people in the RMV. Skip this place and take the extra time to drive to the Plymouth RMV. You’ll be happy you did.

Here for a out of state license conversion. Got a token which says estimated waiting time 6 min, had to wait for 2 hours though. The reaon given was the guys taking the test have higher priority. So if you plan on visiting this place, good for test taking i guess, everything else, dont plan anything for the remainder of the day.

Best Massachusetts RMV experience I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot in the past few months) Lets be honest not one person is ever excited about going to the RMV. I have been trying to get my license and it has been a challenging situation. The road tests are very complex and I did not come from a driving school since I’m in my 30’s. My advice is make sure you know all rules! Parallel parking, how to park on a hill, stopping, three point turn… and at this RMV the tester was extremely nice and helpful!!! They took us a half hour early. He didn’t make me feel any more nervous then I already was. He is great at his job! It was an extremely positive experience and also fairly quick.

All I can say is excellent service!!! I’ve been there numerous times over the last 1.5 years and I’m singing the praises very loudly of the road test department. Carletta and Cornelius are the absolute best!!! They are very nice, always smiling, courteous and never once did they lose their cool. And although they administer a very through road test, both their demeanors make it seem so very easy

Wow! Service is way much faster than I remember from years ago. The even smile and say, «have a nice day»

Its a registry its always busy you should expect that BUT this place is always busy and makes you wait 2 hours for a 2 minute thing because they always have 8 empty desks. Hire more people maybe schedule more people I DONT KNOW just use the space you have to speed things up!

What can I say about a place that instantly sours my mood the second I step thru the door. Not much, just get me out the fastest you can.
The employees try to be nice, lets face it they are overworked. Luckily, I was only returning plates and I was in and out in no time. Been here other times, waited a bit and other times out quicker than I thought I would.
Ample amount of parking.
Of all the RMVs I would choose this one to do my business.
