short acne bound girl . I asked if I bought 18 spiced wings, if I could have them freshly made because we all know that they leave this stuff under a heat lamp for god knows how long . She then says«they are fresh !» . Wow what a lie. I asked again if I could just have them freshly made . She then says if they aren’t fresh when I get them then come back and she will make another batch. This is the dumbest customer service ever . If you made them like I asked I wouldn’t have to return? How stupid can you be . Yes they were dried and old as expected . I decided to just take it and leave because I did drive 30 minutes to get some wings. Fail. Would never return. Un like the Popeyes in California they have all the special orders already pre made.

I ordered an 8 piece tender meal. While driving home I reached into the box to grab a piece. I got a wing. So I went back. No big deal at all. I handed the chicken back and told the girl it was supposed to be strips. Suddenly, the cashier got loud. «Who made you food?» «I didn’t notice.» «I remember you. I took you order. Who made you food?» «I don’t know, it’s not a big deal.» «No! Who screwed up!?» «Well, I have the receipt and it says you rang me up for an 8 piece, but not tenders, so, the mistake was on your end.» «Ohhh no. You didn’t say tenders.» «Yes, I did. You asked what kind of sauce I wanted.» «I remember you, you fault, no mine.» At this point a women waiting in line gasped and said«Oh my god.» See, none of this was a big deal. I didn’t care I had to come back. It was seriously one of the most honest mistakes that could be made. But the cashier made it a huge deal. The cashier had to have a finger to point at somebody, and when she was told to point the finger at herself(the actual person at fault), she turned it towards me, the customer. She claimed she remembered my order of tenders before I told her she rang me up wrong. She KNEW she placed the correct order until she was told she didn’t. She was perfectly fine taking it out on the teenaged girl scrambling to get the food together. And then blaming me, but god forbid she take responsibility herself. After the kerfuffle I had to wait five minutes for strips to be cooked. As I waited the guy in front of me the first time I got in line came back with his food. She rang him up for fries and he asked for cole slaw. Everyone in line laughed as she was confronted with this. Overall, the food was good. The place was clean(even the soda station which is rare for fast food.) It’s still the best place for a quick bite in that terrible mall. Sall edit, I returned a few days ago and got a smaller tender meal. They asked what kind of sauce I wanted. I said barbecue, and got home to find no sauce. And the majority of my strips were tendons. Just, gross. No matter how good chicken tastes if it’s all tendon nobody is eating it.

I called ahead because it was snowing and it’s Sunday. I asked how late they were open. They tell me 9pm I drove a half hour in a storm and arrive at 830 with my family to eat just to find them with no food and all cleaned up and ready to leave. I tried to order and the don’t have chicken or can cook it(because they are trying to leave) did I mention it was only 830??? How are u gonna be Popeyes with NO chicken??? Not to mention I called ahead!!! Not only that they let us Stand there staring at the menus for a few minutes and didn’t say anything just gave us a nasty look when we walked in. Sorry for the inconvenience of thinking you were there to do your job people!!!

I saw an advertisement on 6 wings combo ghost pepper wings, i ordered that and a girl said they dont have it anymore. How do you advertise something that you do not have it? What a lousy place ever, i ordered different combo. I been to this place many time, they never charge me for sauce. I got charge 25 cent per sauce. Thats another lousy shit. I will never go back to this place. The lady who gave me the food never happy. Her attitude is ridiculous. Please have this fucken place check by ur damn general manager. I was nearly mad and eating the chicken without flavor. Cause i was all pissed off.

Line here is usually 10 plus and food can take sometime, but it’s worth it. Def better then KFC and other local chicken spots, only place better then here is crown fried chicken. Also the chicken is halal.

This one is more about the woman who works the counter days. Seems to be maybe Indian, seems to be invested in the business’ success, probably manager or owner, etc… what it all comes down to is Popeye’s recipe for chicken is an obvious winner. I’ve only known how great it is for about 6 years now. and I’ve never once been disappointed. The location in the Westgate Mall, on the other hand… well, that’s why this review is about the lady. I have seen her handle more drunks, ghetto princesses, piss smelling mentally ill folks and every other type of service industry nightmare than you can imagine with tact and patience. Today in particular, she did a fantastic job of remaining calm while a guy told her he would not pay for the rest of his combo meal until his fries were on the counter in front of him.(she had told him it would be a couple minutes till the next batch was ready.) I won’t get into specifics, but she somehow did not throw hot oil on this piece of garbage who was holding up the line at the lunch rush, but instead offered him rice and beans in place of fries to get him the hell out the door faster. She also told him to take a shower and get some rest.(which is a big part of why I like her) and maybe she has occasionally sneaked an extra spicy tender in the box. My chicken today was hot and fresh and I would rate it a 9 – 9.5 out of 10 My hat’s off to you lady. See you whenever I go back to Market Basket

I hate the mall. I hate people that go to the mall. I hate the crowds and I hate the lines… But this chicken is worth putting up with it all. Better than KFC!

Don’t know if it was the day or what, but I came on a weekday around 6−7pm. There were a number of customers, and we all had to wait 20 minutes for our fried chicken to finish. It was sort of weird, since they had absolutely no food on hand. Maybe someone came and bought all of it right before I arrived? Who knows, but 20 minutes is an absurd amount of time to wait for food anywhere, including sit-down restaurants. The service was OK… the lady dropped a piece of chicken on the counter and then put it back in my box. Presumably the counter was clean, but still… The restaurant itself was a little dirty, and the cooking area looked cramped.

For the day my cousins, my Aunt and myself came here it was an adventure. Love me some Popeyes chicken! You cannot let your Auntie say a huge order for like 15 people she just gets confused and nervous. My cousins and I were there to assist so that was not a problem. Guess what? while California prices are higher this Popeyes got the order correct and sauces to match! ding ding and stars yay!

Overlooking the location, the service, previous reviews and price… This chicken still ROCKS! Biscuits to die for and I cannot replicate the Red Beans and Rice — no matter what I try. AWESOME and always quick.

Haters wanna hate? That’s fine, more chicken for me! And Popeye’s is seriously good chicken. But you knew that already. Spicy, always get the spicy. It’s got a bit of a kick without being overwhelming, just as much as you probably want if you are scarfing down a whole bucket. Varied sides vary in quality and deliciousness, but the simpler the better — the mashed potatoes are truly the star of that side of the board. Prebuttered biscuits decent(but the only place where KFC gets the edge). Not the biggest place, and if you come at the wrong time, it gets slammed, but never had a problem or experienced all the other varied complaints enumerated below.

I’m kind of at a loss on how to rate this with the star system. There’s a mix of really good and really bad here. I’ll lean towards to positive side and give them 3 stars. First, the food. The food was really good. I got a chicken strips meal which featured 3 enormous chicken strips featuring thick and juicy white meat chicken breaded with just the right amount of coating, and cooked just long enough to not be overcooked. They were very generous with the dipping sauce I requested. I hate it when places are cheap with the dipping sauce and charge an extra 25 cents per packet. The meal comes with a side plus a biscuit. I got fries as my side, which were seasoned so they had flavor but also a little on the greasy side and they could have been hotter. The biscuit… well, calling it a butter soaked sponge would be more accurate. It seeed to have more butter than bread, and just wasn’t that good at all. The cleanliness of the dining room was horrific. Sticky floors. Puddles around the self service beverage area. Dirty tables. Thank goodness I was taking my order to go. Service was okay. A little slow, but they were friendly enough for a fast food place. They do have some great meal deals, so value seems to be a plus here. The cleanliness and the lower quality of the sides were the biggest issues. But I would say it’s almost worth overlooking that for the chicken.

I ordered the Chicken nuggets which were great. They were hot, fresh, and just the right amount of spicy. The service was fairly quick despite a very long line. Unfortunately, I can say the service was not friendly at all and this may deter me from returning. I ordered the naked wrap, which I loved before but it came with only a small piece of chicken with mayo slabbed over it. Gross. I wish I thought to take a picture. I have had the stuffed burrito before and they are good but quite messy.

Popeye’s is pretty consistent so you know for the most part what you are getting. Verify before you leave that they got your order correct and check to see if everything is there because I have gotten shorted a few times. The staff can be pretty bad at this one, but their food gets 4 stars.

Popeye’s chicken is so good. I have to dock a star for this location as they tend to be staffed by very unhappy people. The food is the same though. Lose KFC. Go Popeye’s! PASS

I love Popeyes! My standard order is the boneless chicken strip combo meal that comes with a biscuit, choice of side, and fountain drink. The chicken is juicy and delicious with a nice crispy coating. You can get it mild or spicy — I usually go with the mild myself since I’m a bit of a wimp. The sides are fine(cole slaw, dirty rice, mashed potatoes, etc.) but this place is really all about the chicken and biscuits, which are laden with butter(or some sort of buttery substance) and awesome. It’s certainly not health food, and you’ll likely spend the remainder of the day feeling bloated and hating yourself. But for a once-in-a-while treat, it’s definitely worth the caloric splurge. I’ve only been to this particular Popeyes once, but the service was perfectly adequate. I believe it was the manager who waited on us. She was friendly and polite and put our orders together quickly and correctly. As far as I know Popeyes hasn’t gotten any Michelin stars yet so I don’t know what sort of service people are expecting from them.

You can’t go wrong with Popeyes. I prefer Popeyes over KFC. I like my fried chicken spicy and they know how to make it spicy. the fried chicken is not greasy like KFC and taste awfully good if you microwave them if you have any leftovers. The reason i’m giving it 4 stars is because the floors are sticky. I hate sticky floors.

Vaguely helpful staff. They engaged in only bare minimum communication. Asking for dipping sauce elicited a response worthy of the most impossible request. Place was sorta clean? Food not so fast on a sunday. They werent cooking anything until someone ordered it. I had to wait 8 minutez for my msg sodium cholestoral sugar death chicken!

Do not eat here. I repeat, DONOTEATHERE! I’d never eaten at a Popeye’s before and didn’t really plan on it. But I was making a quick return to a clothing store and I smelled fried chicken in the distance. I was hungry, so I gave in to my stomach’s wishes and decided to get a chicken sandwich from a place I’d never heard of until I moved into the area. The service was slow, not all that friendly and they never told me the total or ask if I wanted it here or to go. They kept talking in another language, which was fine, but also seems sort of rude when they barely would make eye contact or speak to the customers. I didn’t really see much of a description for the chicken sandwich(it looked good in the picture on the menu, but hey, isn’t that always the case?) but I figured it had the standard mayo and lettuce, along with a tomato. I also got fries and a drink. Upon opening the paper around my chicken sandwich, I removed the tomato(which I had forgotten to ask to please not put one on) and noticed an orange sauce. I was slightly thrown off but decided to try to eat the sandwich anyways. It was gross, tasted like there was also pieces of pickles or relish or something mixed in with what I thought was supposed to be 1000 Islands Dressing on the sandwich? I managed 4 or 5 bites before putting it down and moving on to my fries. The fries looked like they would be yummy. but they were bland and had hardly any taste to them at all. McDonald’s fries without salt and ketchup have more flavor than these ones did. I didn’t even want to finish those either. I figured I’d only wasted about 7 bux, so I tossed the food in the trash and left. NASTY. I am never going back! KFC has some bad service and mistakes within the orders but the food tastes 100 times better. I know I shouldn’t have expected much but really, it was horrible… even for fast food.
