I’ve driven by Lady s numerous times and not sure why I haven’t stopped in there. You know Brockton… that place that gets a bad rap in the news? well apparently when it comes to food it has some great hidden Gems, and Lady C&J s soulfood is one of them. Down to earth service. one of the best steak and cheese I’ve had… BBQ chicken… Superb! BBQ ribs amazin… Peach Cobbler… OMG! A great menu. I’ve already been in there 5 times and yes I will be there tomorrow.

Had a delicious meal.
Collard greens were put on my plate the way I like. As little water as possible.
The yams were cooked to perfection.
The BBQ chicken was absolutely delicious with the homemade sauce.
The moist cornbread just melted in my mouth.
You can eat in or take out. I’ll definitely go back soon.

This restaurant is delicious! Seriously amazing ribs and wings, the barbecue sauce is to die for! The owner is a very sweet southern lady willing to go out of her way to make customers happy. I loved the vibe inside, really like a backyard barbecue! I tried the chocolate cake and peach cobbler and both were so yummy! I have never tasted a better cake, I definitely want to go back. The prices were great and the portion size perfect. Corn bread was also super amazing!

This place is mediocre. I was done trying soul food in this area. However, I thought I would try this place since I had a long day getting my hair braided next door. I was excited to try it but got it home and was not impressed. The food was bland to say the least. The fried chicken was not fresh, it was over cooked, dry and hard. Much like it was sitting under a light all day. The sides: mac and cheese and yams were ok and the reason I give this place 2 stars but were bland as well. However the only thing worth the $ 10 are the portions.
