Antoine’s Le Jour Spa & Salon

The girls were nice, but the actual pedicure just okay. The massage function on my chair didn’t work, and even though I pointed out my callused areas, they weren’t paid much attention and I’ll have to tackle them myself. The room is small and not very relaxing — not my idea of a spa. Basically, I will either save my money and DYI at home, or try some place else. Definitely not worth the money.

I went in between working night shifts to have a hair blow-​out for a wedding. To be honest, I should have scheduled an updo or haircut. My hair is long, had no layers, and there is a lot of it. The blow-​out wasn’t anything great, but they just charged $ 25 which I thought was reasonable. The hairdresser, Ashley, suggest I return for a cut another time. I made an appointment the next week and was so happy! Like a previous poster, I am shy and had no idea what to do with my hair. I normally just go to a cheap place for a trim every few months. Ashley took charge and gave me some awesome layers. She listened to how I need a no-​fuss style for work and needed to be able to put it all up. A week later, my boyfriend still keeps telling me how much he loves it. I will definitely go back to her in the future.
Then I returned just yesterday for a massage with my best friend. They have a special for June: a couples massage for $ 100. One thing I didn’t like is that they didn’t have a changing room, lockers, or showers like some nicer places. They probably don’t have the space. They put us in a small dimly lit room with two massage tables and left us to undress. The area to stand in was also small, so it was a little uncomfortable stripping into your panties and hanging all your clothes on the few hooks on the wall. (Where can I put my shoes so they won’t trip over them in the dark?!). We had to take turns. The massage itself was so relaxing, I could have fallen asleep. The lotion was nice and not heavily scented. I would go again.

Wanted to take my friend to a really nice place for pedicure. When I called the lady said our prices are a little high but so worth it, so I booked us. To be honest I would never return. The chair my friend was in, the jets in whirlpool only worked on one side. The girl was like «ya, that happens, it might go on while we are doing your pedicure. My chair, the remote to press massage did not work. I asked the girl if I was doing something wrong. She said try pushing 2 buttons, it sometimes works. It never worked. The pedicures were just ok. Neither of the girls were very friendly. I thought the cost was very expensive for service received. Pretty disappointed.

My mom and sister have raved about this place for a long time. And once my hair became unbearable again, I decided to give it a try. I called, hoping for a walk in cut and color with some highlights. No such luck. So, if you want something done that may take some time to do, definitely make an appointment. When I finally got in, I was pleasantly greeted and taken almost right away. The space is very much geared towards the hip crowd, top 40s music playing, mod decorations, the whole 9. But what impressed me about this hair salon is that it was so clean! No hair randomly on the floor, it didn’t wreak of hair dye, mirrors wiped, no excess of junk on any of the work stations… My OCD mind was at peace. Now, down to brass tacks. I walked in, not even sure what I wanted! I wanted to be a brunette with some cleaned up layers, that’s all I had in mind. So I told the stylist that she could have some creative licence with my hair and left it up to her. I’ll make a note here, while she. was working, she was very nice and attempted to talk to me, I’m kind of shy so we didn’t talk much, but it seems everyone who works here is friendly. Once I was done 2 hours later? Let me tell you, ladies and gentlemen of Unilocal,I walked walked out of that salon a new woman. My hair was the perfect shade of brown for my skin tone, with red brown highlights. Its not something I would have picked for myself, and it looks fabulous! My haircut wasn’t too drastic, but she angled my bangs and cleaned up my locks like a pro! Perfect! I have to say that I don’t think I could have gotten this kind of quality anywhere else. I’ve had my hair dyed and cut hundreds of times in my lifetime, but I’ve never been so pleased! 5 stars! Yes, its expensive, and most salons that are worth the expense are. Totally worth it though. I’ll definitely come back if I need a touch up.

Seriously overpriced. I’ve gotten much better pedicures for less money. My polish chipped within a week (and not even on the edge of my toe, but smack dab in the middle).
The facial was great, but they didn’t really do anything out of the ordinary to justify the price.
Meh.

Took my mom here for her 50^th birthday. It was her first experience at a spa and I wanted her to feel relaxed and comfortable. I travel in a sort’ve «non-​traditional» group dynamic that always makes me nervous about how we’ll be received in certain places (especially since my memories of Cleveland are not so hot on the whole race/​socio-​economic front), and the staff at Antoine’s couldn’t have been kinder or more accommodating. The massages were fantastic, the pedicure and manicures top-​notch, the staff were friendly and chatty with my mom, and overall helped to make her special day… well, special. It was a great time, and although I don’t live in Cleveland any more I will definitely keep this in mind as a place to return to if I need to get pampered during one of my visits.
