Fulton County’s best restaurant in a cozy setting in quant Broadablin. Excellent comfort food with short ribs, haddock, smoked chicken and brisket. Friendly service with an owner that touches tables. Extensive wine list but needs to upgrade their craft beer selection. Delicious soups and salads-make sure to leave room for the crème brûlée. Worth a trip from anywhere in the Capital Region.

I will preface this by saying the food is delicious and the service was great. That being said, the hostess who I later learned was also the owner, a woman, was extremely rude. She came over and shushed my table. When we walked in, she was extremely stressed out by the idea of another large table and showed it to us as customers. That only stressed us out. She was extremely rude when another guest showed up. As a frequent customer of the restaurant, I was extremely disappointed.

Wine and Roses. Comfortable atmosphere. Not to pretentious. Hostess was quick to find us a table despite the absence of our making a resorvation. The waiter was wonderful. Very timely and attentive. Food was more like what you might find at a fine Manhattan restaurant rather than a small upstate lake community. However, it is concerning that the dinner pricing is undervalued. Appetizer, two dinners drinks and a $ 15.00 tip, $ 75.00. I’ve spent more on a crappy haircut. I have a new barber, and I’m going back to Wine and Roses!

My boyfriend and I went there for lunch on a Saturday and had one of the best lunches ever. We ordered from the short plates which turned out to be rather large. The décor is lovely and matches the name with its wine glass chandeliers. The hostess was a little snobbish but the server was amazing. The prices were spectacular for lunch and we would definitely go back!

This restaurant’s food is OUTSTANDING, especially since it’s a surprise in the Adirondacks. Try their turkey dinner, smoked wings, and steamed clams! We stop in ALLTHETIME. Delicious!!!

Definitely our best meal in the Adirondacks. Seriously good food. Chad was warm, friendly & accommodating. The turkey entrée blew my thanksgiving turkey well out of the water. My husband really enjoyed the brisket which was moist, tender & flavorful. The wings were just shockingly good.

I was recently visiting some friends out in Caroga Lake, and we went to dinner at Wine & Roses. Overall, the experience was good. The atmosphere was really nice. Think down home country with a flare of elegance. The menu was very complex, but to the point where there wasn’t a theme to the style of cuisine. On one hand, there is a large selection of smoked bbq style meats. On the other hand there are many«comfort foods» on the menu reminiscent of home cooking, such as meatloaf and fried chicken. In addition, there is a large selection of burgers and sandwiches and then classic fine dining entrees including steaks, salmon and risotto. For me, the menu needed to be more cohesive. That being said, we shared some nice appetizers that were prepared well and had a great presentation. I had a sirloin steak for my entrée. It was good, but not quite cooked how I had asked. Two of the people with me felt that their entrees were bland and they both had the haddock. Everyone else was very satisfied. As the name suggests, you can get a number of descent wines both by the glass and bottle. There is also a full bar. The service was absolutely excellent! I went to the restaurant with some locals and the staff seemed to know everyone and treated us like family.

Stayed on the Sacandaga for a week and our family got take-out here three nights for dinner(with a 2 year old dining out is not an option). Every single dish was delicious! It was a thrill to find such a great restaurant in this area. I miss it!

Excelent home made food. The specials are very tasty and well prepared. I would recomened the Seafood Jumbilia one of my favorites, also the Vodka sauce pasta.

Wine and roses have redeemed themselves IMO. They understood that the fried chicken was overly peppered and remedied the situation. They also have offered a delicious honey BBQ chicken tonight that has made my evening complete.

Very nice little restaurant. Had three meals there and all have been delicious. The prime rib was cooked perfect last night. I might go there again and get the same thing tonight.

This is a Supreme Find. Not to be missed. Loved every bite, right down to the exquisite little side of homemade cranberry sauce that accompanied my daughter’s meal. Fabulous prime rib(Friday special), soups, and desserts made fresh on site. Service was warm, friendly and top-notch, especially our awesome server Jackie. Next time we’re anywhere near Lake Sacandaga, we’ll detour back to Wine & Roses. Thanks, Shelley & crew!

Wow– lobster stuffed Mahi. Really amazing food. Very hard to imagine how you find this quality in such a small town. Try it.

Hosted a surprise birthday party here for 50 people and everything was flawless! The owners were wonderful to work with, everything from planning the menu to making the guests feel right at home. The wait staff was excellent and accommodating. Everything from shrimp appetizers, to roast sirloin, chicken caprese and amazing pesto pasta, to a customized cake. Highly recommended!

I must agree with Bob K. For a small town, this place is most excellent. As a vegetarian who is a bit wheat sensitive, it is difficult to find decent food outside of a larger city. Taking a chance on this restaurant was certainly worth it. The fresh flavors and generosity of portion was a notable surprise. I’m going to recommend it to all of my friends in the area!

Great food, great service and great prices. We enjoyed this so much we went twice over the Memorial Day weekend. The food is hand crafted and fresh — comfort food with a twist. Between the two outings and the groups who were there, we had 8 different meals, all of which were enjoyed the last bite. They have a great wine list and the serving size was appropriate.
