Couldn’t have asked for better service at Rodd’s! Quick service as well as happy friendly faces, the food was excellent and the portions were extremely generous! I’ll definitely be going back for breakfast very soon!

Idk how this place is still serving what they call«breakfast». Between the very poor cleanliness and bad service, I saw the gentleman cooking my food wasn’t wearing a hair net and the hair on his face was almost as long as the hair on his head. Food didn’t even look appetizing. Just look at how nasty the salt and pepper shakers are when you sit… in a booth that is sure to have crumbs all over it. Brought my girlfriend because I used to eat there when I was younger. Idk who they paid for a good health review but I assure you it’s false information. Sorry but I’m just being honest.

It’s a diner so some of the complaints on here don’t make sense. But it’s a good diner, don’t believe them. They have options and good options at that. Place is fairly busy, but service is quick. Had a Polish Breakfast and it was delicious. When going to a diner, you’re looking for options, service and cheap. This checks them all.

I really wasn’t impressed. My husband and I both got the #2; two eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage links and 2pancakes. I ask for my eggs over easy and they were a bit too runny. My bacon was burnt. The pancakes were really heavy. They completely forgot about my husband’s toast because she wasn’t used to someone ordering toast with a #2. He needed the toast to sop up the runny whites eggs. Plus there were fruit flies buzzing around our faces. They weren’t very attentive to us. There were what appeared to be regulars that got a lot of attention though. Food was«meh» at best. I don’t think we’ll be coming again. They were reasonably priced though.

We had breakfast yesterday, 10/21/2015, and were very satisfied. The service was fast and friendly, the food was perfectly cooked(we both had eggs over medium), and the portions were just right! The best part, the breakfast specials are very reasonably priced. We were visiting the area and would definitely return to Rodd’s if we are in the area in the future. We had breakfast the previous day at the Applewood Restaurant, but we would recommend Rodd’s over Applewood.

Late review, we were in last Saturday, 8÷22÷15. 1st timers to Rodd’s Restaurant. My wife ordered the Breakfast Club sandwich, I went with the Meat Lover’s Omelet. We both thought our breakfasts were decent, although the home fries could’ve used a bit of seasoning, they were bland tasting. Service was very good, we certainly would come back in the future.

I have no idea where the low stars are coming from, but this place has a GREAT breakfast! I ordered the eggs benedict, which came with 2 eggs bene and home fries. I couldn’t even finish it. I was really good. My fiancé ordered chocolate chip pancakes. Everything the rest of our party ordered was great. Our food came out very quick, considering it was a busy Sunday morning, about 10 – 15 minutes.

Alright. Got the two eggs, home fries, toast, and kielbasa. Eggs and home fries could have been cooked longer, kielbasa could have been cooked less(way overdone). OJ from concentrate. Old school atmosphere.

First visit. Breakfast was great! I had the homemade corned beef hash with eggs … yum! My wife had the ham scramble and really liked it. The coffee was also very good and tasty. This is a cozy little place with plenty of booths and a number of counter seats. The staff was very friendly and very efficient. One mjnus. The men’s room was fairly clean but pretty grunge and probably has not been deep cleaned or updated in years.

Great food. No you don’t get charged extra for eggs on the biscuits and gravy… It’s included in the price… Must have been your drink. Best prices in Bristols.

Been coming here for years, so much so that most of the waitstaff actually knows my order. All the workers here are super friendly and always fast. I’ve never been her for lunch, only breakfast, but I’ve never had a bad meal.

This has been my favorite breakfast place since I was little. Dad used to let me skip the first hour of school for some French toast! The best by far!

I love this place! Finally updated, but still has that greasy spoon feel to it. Iv been coming here for at least 20 years for their breakfast. Best French toast around. Great omelette specials. Was with dad on this visit, he ordered the waffle and I had the meat lovers omelette(ham, bacon, sausage and American cheese… freaking banging! Soooo good and huge too. Came with well done home fries. Also had the hearty breakfast on another occasion,(see photo) — amazing! So happy this place has never changed and look forward to returning.

Basic diner fare here. I was fairly unimpressed… and that’s saying something considering a breakfast is pretty difficult to ruin. Had the steak and cheese omelet. Steak was overdone. Homefries were from a frozen bag. Meh. Coffee was hot and my cup was never empty. Waitstaff was businesslike and friendly, not much else. I’ll probably not be back… it really didn’t wow me.

There’s not a lot to say… Dirty restaurant, sub pat food, but a friendly staff. The basics done poorly here.

My Family tried Rodd’s today for the first time. We have been searching for a good breakfast place in Bristol that has reasonable prices. Based on the reviews on Unilocal we decided to check it out. What a HORRIBLE idea! The service was bad– we had a hard time getting the servers attention multiple times, and while I was trying to get her attention I saw her behind the counter with her feet up on shelves that hold food/glasses, and texting. not once but at least 3 different times. My daughter who usually loves pancakes would touch hers, my son who would eat a whole pound of bacon if I let him wouldn’t eat his bacon, and my food sent me to the bathroom almost immediately! Their kids juice is $ 1.50 for about 6oz which is crazy to me when I could see them poor the juice from an aldi container… to boot when my child spilled hers almost instantaneously– the server didnt even ask if she would get us more… Oh yeah and we were over charged! Or «busy» texting server said we got 3 kids juices when we only got two. My husband who hates to complain said we will NEVER go back there after that experience~ Come on Bristol– there has to be at least one good breakfast place!

Best. Bacon. Ever. Is that not enough for you? GO! Ok… I’ll tell you more. Rodd’s is a cute little diner, always packed on weekend mornings. They serve breakfast and lunch only, and close at 2pm every day. The food is good, service is fast and friendly. I love places where I can order a single pancake. The omelettes are good too, and the muffins are moist and delicious.

I just had biscuits with sausage gravy(and two poached eggs) and I’m in heaven! The sausage gravy is better than what I make at home(the sausage is redolent of sage, cooked just right and the gravy is a perfect bechamel sauce). The biscuits were fresh and huge(sliced in half) and very tasty. The eggs were small ones(c’mon, use jumbo eggs!) but poached perfectly. Best pal had a burger which was tasty but apparently one must ask for lettuce and tomato; it wasn’t included. A side of coleslaw had a wonderful dressing and was freshly made, but the cabbage was quite chunky. I like mine shredded or ground. Coffee is ground there and is delicious. They offer a variety of Eggs Benedict which seem to be a house specialty. Service was prompt and our food came out very quickly(although when we were there at 1:00 in the afternoon, there were only 2 – 3 other tables). All our diner favorites are featured on the menu, as well as crepes! The décor is a bit threadbare and dated, everything seems very clean, but it’s very bright and, well, it’s a diner… Beside the lettuce and tomato missing from our burger, we’d ordered«Goulash»(it was displayed on the specials board) and the chef hadn’t told the server that it was all gone — this necessitated a re-order and it was a bit awkward ’cause I didn’t have a second choice in mind. Finally, the sausage gravy and biscuits are billed under«breakfast specials» at $ 6.95 and includes two eggs. When we got our bill, the sausage gravy was priced at 6.95 — and then on the next line«two poached $ 2.35.» I didn’t complain, apparently at lunchtime, although breakfast is available, the eggs become extra. It was a great meal, however. We plan to go back — and often.
