My Daughter and Best Friend went there for breakfast this morning. We have been going there for years, but not recently until today. The waffles were not anything like what we had in the past. They served whipped cream that was flat to the waffle, my friend sent her’s back. The coffee tastes like mud!!! That isn’t the worst of it. When we got up to pay the tab, the owner rang up our bill. I nearly passed out. $ 32 for 3 waffles!!! They added extra for whipped cream, fruit,…I think there were about 10 blueberries and a few slices of peaches on my waffle. Surprised we weren’t charged to use the silverware!!! The owner became extremely agitated when I said that he was robbing us. $ 9 for a tiny little poor quality waffle!!! He said everyone charges that much. We were so upset. Then I said to a waitress that we have known for years, this is ridiculous, we never paid that much before, and she of course sided with the owner. We don’t mind paying a fair amount for good food, but unless there was a 14K gold filling in the waffle, we were overcharged. Wish we had gone to IHop. There pancakes and food are wonderful, why would anyone deal with an extremely rude owner and mediocre food!!!

Absolutely love this place! Me and my fiancé come here every Sunday morning for breakfast. They are always busy but it never seems to slow the service down! Our favorite waitress is Angie! She is always friendly and always greets us with two hot coffees ready for us! Our order never takes more than 10 minutes to come out. Food is always hot and the portions are great! My other half LOVES the pastrami & Swiss omelet, while I’m just an eggs and home fries girl. Their home fries are awesome and you get the choice of whether you want onions or not. I get the onions, he doesn’t but they are still flavorful. We always have extra(because the portions are amazing) to bring home a little doggy bag so our pup can enjoy a nice Sunday breakfast as well. I definitely recommend this place and give 5 Stars to the food, the pricing, the service and of course our waitress, Angie!

Absolutely love this place! The wait staff is extremely friendly and service is quick! The food is great and portions are large. Prices are excellent too. Only complaint is the juice is small and over priced which I guess is typical for any breakfast place. And on the weekends you’ll have to wait to get seated. The homefrieds here are my favorite. This is my go-to breakfast spot. I don’t go anywhere else.

Stopped in for breakfast this morning w/the wife, we were 1st timers to Riverside Restaurant. She ordered the Mediterranean Eggs Benedict(w/o feta cheese), I went with three pancakes and a side of sausage. Meals came out after a very short wait, my wife liked her meal, eggs were cooked well. Potatoes were good also(she liked that the waitress had asked if she wanted onions in her potatoes, she passed on the onions, but the potatoes still had decent flavor). VERY generous portion of pancakes for me, only finished about half of them. Pancakes were fluffy, but a bit bland, honestly, I would not order them again unless it was with blueberries. We were both checking out the Belgian waffles at another table, they looked very appetizing. Service was outstanding, our waitress was very friendly & attentive. Didn’t get her name, but she was pretty busy, was busting her butt this morning to make everyone there happy. We’d certainly come back to Riverside Restaurant in the future.

The breakfast was horrible. I had a steak and cheese omelet with hash browns and a side of bacon. The bacon was way over cooked, dry and very hard. It was probably really old. It was not appetizing at all… and it was bacon! It’s not difficult to please someone with a side of bacon! The hash browns… you could smell the old dirty grease from the deep frier on them. I have worked in restaurants and I know what old grease smells and tastes like after 5 days… it’s safe to say that this place had not changed the grease in a very long time. This was disgusting and made me feel nauseous. The steak in the omelet looked, smelled and tasted gross. Im not even sure that it was steak. The only part of my breakfast that was worth eating was the egg. I hate to give a place a bad review, but I was thoroughly disgusted and felt sick after eating here. …However, this place always seems to have a lot of customers. The service was very friendly. It was pretty packed on a Tuesday morning. The people next to us ordered a salad and it looked pretty fresh and appetizing… maybe I just ordered the wrong thing on that day … regardless, I will not be back!

I didn’t eat at the restaurant but won’t after my experience today. Wish I could give lower than 1 star. I was behind a staff member purchasing items for this restaurant at the local grocery store. He became very rude to the cashier as the line wasn’t going fast enough for him. The cashier explained she had to wait for the manager to proceed with a return for a different customer. This person continued stating, «he picked the wrong line, in a huge rush etc». The cashier asked what restaurant he was from. He kept saying he couldn’t understand the cashier because she had a slight accent. HEVERYRUDELYSAID, «I CANTUNDERSTANDYOU.» I felt so bad for the cashier and went outside and called the restaurant. I asked to speak to a manager. The person that answered said their off and hung up on me. Very rude I will NOT be going to this place. If this is how people are treated from their staff they don’t deserve my money!

We stopped into Riverside for breakfast yesterday. Since my last review I’ve been back here at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed. Yesterday was no different. She ordered the house omelet with a side of has and I ordered the hash omelet with a side of french toast. All the food was spectacular as usual. Best omelets around. Great ingredients and assembled perfectly. Staff is really nice and the chefs or chef back there really know how to bang out an order. Very fast from the time the order is put in to the time it hits the table. In a food service world where consistency is lacking it’s nice to see a restaurant maintain a consistent quality of product and also service. Prices are middle of the road far as breakfast joints go. I have yet to try anything but breakfast so I can’t comment on the lunch end of it. One of these days I’ll give it a try. Highly recommend.
