What is it with the Moe’s in this area… Recently visited the Avon location to find rude staff and a dirty restaurant. Was in the area of Bristol and found lazy and rude workers, with a half effort«welcome to Moes». This restaurant was also filthy!!! Sad because down south this is a great place to get a meal! I guess since they have expanded their standards have fell off… Shame… I won’t be back to this Moe’s and probably won’t visit another one in the area due to two disappointing and dirty locations

I get a burrito bowl at least once a week here. Never am I unsatisfied when go here. Foodies great and service too. Anyone who complains about one soda machine is pretty naïve

Visited Moe’s last night for dinner. My girl talked me into it as something different for dinner. She’s had Moe’s before and have liked it. I have only ever eaten a small portion of her burrito a couple times before and was not impressed. Entering Moe’s it’s basically like a Subway only much more fast paced. Similar quality as well. Nothing really tasted like anything out of this world. We ordered the big burrito and a couple of hard tacos. Chicken pieces bland. Rice bland but cooked ok. Lettuce was crisp. Guacamole was ok but a touch spicy which was odd. The hard taco was a soggy mess when we got it home which was only 5 or 8 mins away. Inedible much of mine was thrown out. The burrito was just a soggy mess that tasted only like onions and guacamole. Could not even taste the chicken. I know it was there. I could see it but not taste it. Only was able to eat about ¾ of it before being thrown out. It just wasn’t good. My girl was satisfied with her order. Overall I consider Moe’s to be just about one of the worst food establishments out there. I’ll never get Moe’s again based on the food alone. Ordering was complete chaos. At one point there were 2 employees asking us different questions at the same exact time. Yeah no thank you Moe’s.

I’m such a fan of the food and the location is great, and every time the little devil on my shoulder guides me in there, I’m unfortunately, but at least consistently– underwhelmed. I wish I could give them 2 ½ stars, but I’ll be generous and give them 3. There is a real lack of enthusiasm(and almost a sense of embarrassment on my behalf) listening to the employees shout a mumbled«Weh-uh ooh ohs!» For those who aren’t aware– that’s the warm, welcoming, mandatory«WELCOMETOMOES!!!» greeting every customer gets… except for at this Moe’s location. I’m generally always welcomed by a floor full of chips too, and even watched this tiny little worker dumping the chips in the warmer, and failed miserably, which resulted in chips landing on a customer and of course the floor. Instead of cleaning the chip heap, it just stayed there as a hurdle for guests to step over(or stomp on) the entire time I was there(at least 30 minutes). I’m lucky I am familiar with the menu because once you hit the first worker at the«hot» station(tortilla, rice, beans, meat), you better be ready to think fast and talk fast! It’s actually intimidating how rushed I feel when placing an order. So after the meat station, there is this glorious station with tasty grilled onions, grilled peppers and grilled mushrooms– which I generally always want all 3! However, each and every time I come in to order, after the meat is put on, the burrito is quickly slid past this glorious station and the next worker will always shout«CHEESEANDPICO???» Well, yes I would like cheese and all that but may I first have the grilled peppers, onions and mushrooms? This is where you get a guaranteed eye roll, a huff or sigh. I’m not entirely sure what the beef is with asking for the grilled veggies at this location, but all I know is I feel incredibly awkward when I have to stop the CHEESE&PICO enthusiast to get the skipped over hot veggies. So once the veggies are on, the worker starts screaming out LETTUCEGUACSOURCREAM??? Hold up, hold UP! I know they are trying to facilitate the customer by guiding the vegetable & cold goods selection process, but please give me a second to think! Some days, the guacamole is brown and I don’t want it. But Speedy Gonzales here won’t give me the chance to check it out. I highly recommend the workers breathe, slow down just a notch, and act human. The way these employees work so fast and rush the customer seems to end up with a lot more mess-ups and ripped burritos and misunderstandings than good. I do like that every Moes gives out unlimited tortilla chips, but at this Bristol location, the chips tend to be see-thru, undercooked, and clumped together in clumps of say, 4 or more chips. The saltiness factor is inconsistent too. I’ve gotten fantastic chips here but more often than not they’re either too bland or too salty. I suppose it depends who is frying the chips as they are fresh in-house. I will compliment them on their salsa bar, however. They always have everything stocked up decently, and if something’s missing, a worker will be right there within seconds with a fresh replacement. The mess is also kept under control too, which is awesome. They have a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine, which lets you make custom soft drinks. But the issue is they only have 1 machine. Get a kid or a first timer up there and now you have a line 6 people deep waiting for a darn soda! They really should invest in a second Freestyle machine, or ditch the concept entirely. They also tend to be out of one or more syrups at this moes, which sucks too. If they had a second machine, maybe I could have a better shot at getting my raspberry Coke or peach and vanilla Fanta. Eating in is ok, but it gets pretty loud in there, and the tables aren’t ever really cleaned. If you’re not picky about eating on top of someone else’s queso smears, then it’s not that bad. Well all in all, this Moe’s Southwest Grill location is not up to snuff with others I’ve been to. The less than enthused, super speedy staff, messy dining room, generally crappy chips, and long lines(to get food and at the soda machine) make this location only about half as good as others.

The food is good… Like every other moes I assume, but it’s so expensive! So I don’t go often because I end up paying 15 dollars for a burrito and a drink. I can go to Taco Bell for 6 dollars. But it is pretty good. Staff is Friendly and place ha relatively clean.

The food is decent but the service is terrible. The young people behind the counter always seem sad and grumpy and like you’re putting them out by being there. However, I can’t blame them because on almost every occasion that I’ve visited this location I’ve witnessed managers being very rude and aggressive toward their employees. It makes for an uncomfortable dining experience.

I love Moe’s because they have really good Mexican food. I always loved Moe’s food and atmosphere that’s until I made the mistake of ordering catering from the Moe’s in Bristol, CT. I ordered a big catering service for my husbands birthday party back in December we were very excited about it because we always have enjoyed Moe’s food. When the day of the party came I had family and friends including our parents over the food was a little late but they called to let me know so that was no big deal. When they came to bring the food as soon as I opened the door and the caterers came in my house it instantly reeked of weed/pot whatever you call it and everybody was complaining about it. Talk about embarrassing especially since my parents were in the house. The caterers said barely two words did not smile once or anything and took the money as it was obvious they were under the influence. They also set the food up wrong because within minutes the food started to burn and we had to take all the food off of the burners. I called the next day to complain to management for the unprofessional behavior and for also the embarrassment and complaints from my guests .my house literally reeked of weed for at least 2 hours after the caterers left that’s how strong it was. Needless to say that was not what I expected from Moe’s. Anyways the manager called me back and told me over the phone I would have 10 free lunch meals from Moe’s all I had to do was give my name when I go back and he apologized for the unprofessional behavior. I was fine with that but wasn’t in a rush to go back to the Moe’s in Bristol to say the least. The other day months later after the incident from the party I called Moe’s in Bristol and let them know I was going to be coming in for a free lunch for me and my husband. So I told the girl at the counter and she had no idea what I was talking about so I told the manager my name and looked at me like he had no idea what I was talking about even though I called ahead to let them know. Anyways once he realized who I was he was pretty rude and acted pissed off and barely said much. When I went to the register the cashier was going to charge us when I told her that we had free lunch and she could ask the manager to verify but she stuttered and seemed scared to ask the manager which I don’t blame her because he was being pretty rude to the girl coworkers also. So the cashier said we were all set do I went to fill my soda cup and the manager said«Ma’am you need to pay for one of the meals» .in a angry tone .So I put my soda down and went back to the counter and he said«forget about it» and I was like are you sure? Because he seemed upset and he just shook his head and I went down to eat my meal. Needless to say it was very uncomfortable to go in for the free meal and made me feel like a jerk for even asking. Moe’s in Bristol their manager needs to be retrained on customer service and attitude. I know Moe’s is supposed to have a inviting and warm environment with smiling employees. But at the Moe’s in Bristol the warm environment is completely lacking and actually makes you uncomfortable to be there because the people that work there are not happy and it shows. I will never go back to the Moe’s in Bristol. I’m just going to go to the Moe’s in Southington from now on because there the environment is much better, staff is actually nice, and they seem much more professional. Also Unilocal has the wrong phone number the number they have for Bristol is actually the southington number so .yelp please fix that so there is less confusion for people in the future.

I enjoy going to Moe’s and was excited to find this location in Bristol during my time there. Unfortunately, this Moe’s was different from other’s I had visited. Some members of the staff were rude during the ordering process, and I’d never had that experience eating at Moe’s before. The biggest issue for me was the queso. Normally, the queso from Moe’s is really good, but it just didn’t taste right at this location. I thought it could be a simple mistake on one visit, but I had the same experience on multiple visits. The food is still good(minus the queso), but the attitude needs a little work.

Love Moes, this one is nasty, Cross contamination, attitude, and employee yelling about the greeting and just making it a uncomfortable experience. FYI if you hate your job quit. Go to southington Skip Bristol
