Chicken was awesome! Can’t say enough — try the chicken. The wings were very good but I’m not a wing person so far from an expert. My only negative was that I couldn’t figure out the pricing. I should have asked but it was the day before thanksgiving and I was just trying to get in and out quickly.

Seriously, these chicken wings are the best I’ve ever had. I couldn’t stop eating them. So simple, yet so flavorful at the same time. Makes my mouth water!

If you haven’t been to this place and have had the option, you’re doing life wrong. Cabral’s serves simple, succulent chicken and hearty food with a Portuguese spin. They will make a hand-chopped salad to order with lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, pickles, banana peppers & olives that actually has you craving a salad. They have a nice selection of prepared foods, mostly Portuguese-American, so bringing home a big meal for the family is easy. I also don’t think I’ve ever met anyone that has tasted their wings that wasn’t instantly hooked. This is the kind of working-class place you’ll still catch fancy people daring to go to. A Bristol staple, and for good reason.

I heard raving reviews of the wings and they were very good… but they weren’t amazing, so I was a little disappointed. I had the chicken dinner with oven roasted potatoes and cole slaw. Both sides were homemade and they gave samples before I ordered. They were good but not great. The«barbecue» sauce was a complete joke. It was literally ketchup. I just tried to focus on the chicken and push the rest out of mind. I’d go back for that.

We buy chicken wings and sides from Cabral’s all the time. He does the best, fall off the bone tender wings anywhere. A pound of wings, a container of his barbecue sauce(that tastes just like shrimp cocktail sauce) and some fries or roasted potatoes and cole slaw is a meal fit for a king. I’ve been going for over 20 years and, I reiterate, no one does better wings than he does. I’ve ordered whole chickens but found them a bit dry. I was told they cook the day lights out of them because their Portuguese customers don’t like to see any red on the bone. Ok. I guess. It’s hard to find a moist chicken these days anyway. The big stores cook them to 200 degrees. You go to BJ’s and half the chickens in the case have split open. They cook the heck out of their birds. Cabral’s doesn’t go that far but I’d rather eat Cabral’s wings until I roll on my back and fall asleep! A tip I’d like to share is to buy extra for left overs. Put them in tin foil and pour his sauce and a little water over them. Wrap them tight and put them in a warm oven for a half hour or so. They come out so good.

You have no idea how much I miss this place. Simply put, sone of the best rotisserie chicken anywhere. My only regret us that I didn’t try their wings until just before I moved out of state. I’m still looking for anything close. Sadly, I haven’t found it. :-/

Cabral’s Chicken is an absolute gem. When a business has been around for 30+ years, there has to be a reason why. Their slow roasted rotisserie chickens are the best. Period. They are not drenched in barbeque sauce but are slowly basted with Cabral’s own marinade that gives just enough zest and moistness without masking that delicious flavor the open-fire roasting infuses. If you don’t need a whole chicken, they have wings that are equally good and cooked to perfection. The ribs are good as well. but I’m partial to the chicken. They also offer a tremendous selection of sides(great twist on macaroni salad) and sandwiches. I recommend first timers get the chicken dinner: Chicken, wings, side and fries. Makes a great meal.

I used to go here all the time when I went to Roger Willams University. I’d usually stop in and pick up an couple orders for dinner(aka…to eat at 3 in the morning after a good solid round of cocktails) and possibly lunch the next day. Can’t beat the price. All the other items they offer look good but I never tried them. I gotta get back over there soon!!!

The wings are great here. I can’t comment on anything else because its all I eat out of the place. You can call ahead if you have a party to order by the pound and my family has done it for years. There are a couple tables to sit at if you are passing through for lunch. The guy cooking seems a little rude at first. But if you go a few times its just how he looks.

I go to Cabrals for lunch pretty much every other week. The food is always great and the service is quick. Their rotisserie chicken is delicious. My only complaint is that they aren’t open late enough(I eat dinner usually around 8:00pm, but they close at 7:00).

Just tried this place out for the first time yesterday, Got a barbequed chicken with the macaroni salad. Chicken tasted great and the price was right. Way better alternative to the KFC’s of the world. Plus you can’t beat the rib option. Definitely will be going back!

My husband had been craving chicken wings from here, he always had them as a kid. We ordered and pick them up. The women at the register was down right rude! When we got home the wings were good but they didn’t put the sauce in the bag, which was what my husband was looking forward to. Dissapointed… wings themself good… service was awful

Went here with my 3 yr old. Not local so asked the lady at the counter what she recommended. «Blade meat sandwich, it’s wicked good.» Indeed it was, I scarfed it down in about two seconds. Marinated lean pork with a little spice, along with pillow soft portugese bread, melted cheese and salad peppers. My son wanted a cheese and bread sandwich which wasn’t on the menu, so she whipped a mini-wich up for him no charge. How often does that happen nowadays??? Super nice!

No reviews? Seriously? Fall off the bone, melt in your mouth, juicy bbq chicken. They do sandwiches too and great lunches, but we get a big tray of the store name(CHICKEN) for the office especially holiday parties. I overindulge to say the least. I really would like to do a blind taste test between Cabral’s Chicken in Bristol and Brightman Chicken in Fall River. I honestly might pass out from the euphoric chemical rush my brain will release when the chicken hits the system. You know what… I hope I do pass out, would be worth it.
