OK, this is what makes me mad about Unilocal reviews. A couple bad reviews from years ago keeps a business from thriving. Here’s what I have to say. I’ve been going here for a couple years now and I’m totally impressed by the owner. I always go late at night and they are always there working hard till the doors close. Change machine NEW and always full. 32 new Dexter 3X dryers. 2 huge 6XNEW front load washers. A bunch of NEW front load Maytag washers for small loads. A bunch of NEW Dexter 3X and 4X front load washers. The older front load commercial washers that are there are well maintained and ready to use. NO older top loaders. The place is clean and bright. Open late and the owner is always there working. This guy deserves your business. A clean and well run local laundry! Check out the new photos.

Came here for the first time the other weekend to do a couple of loads on a Sunday. I was dreading it but I actually had a decent experience. Lots of parking, but not much seating and no wifi. We used a couple of washing and dryer machines near to the door and they worked perfectly fine. The machine also looked somewhat new. = Not the most clean spot but not filthy either. + has a change machine that worked fine(didn’t look to see if there were more) + ample free parking in the Brisbane Village Shopping Center — maybe 6 diff restaurants to grab a bite before, after or during(although most are 3-stars). + wasn’t crowded on that Sunday mid-afternoon when we went(lots of available machines) — No wifi, but not that I was expecting it(although it is a major bonus when laundromats DO have free wifi!). — Only a couple of benches in the back to sit on, or benches outside the front door.

I don’t know why I thought it would be a good idea to come back here. Everything is always broken every time I come here. I found a really nice laundromat across town with all new machines, a tv, wifi, staff that constantly monitor everything, and an ihop next door. But I got lazy, and this laundromat happens to be a lot closer to my house. I just loaded my machines, put the soap in, and then– of course. The change machine just ate my 20 dollar bill. This place is unstaffed and there is no way to get a refund. Oh wait. There’s a sign on the wall that says for a refund, fill out«the above card» with my info. Not only are there no cards, there is no place where a card could even conceivably be. The sign is posted up at the top of the goddamn wall. What a joke. I just packed up my clothes and drove across town to the nice place. Thank god I’m moving away from the bay area in a couple weeks to a place I can actually afford a house with a washer and dryer. Ugh.

They have lots of washers and dryers half of which are out of order, dryers don’t get hot, and the machines give you 5 cents back when you put in a quarter.

A section of 14 Maytag Neptune washers in the place is known broken by management, who places signs admonishing«please reset cycle when it flashes otherwise machine won’t wash!» This turns out to mean this aging fleet hasn’t been serviced in an eternity, and may — or may not — make it to the end of your load before asking you to press a button once, twice, three times? more? before it finishes the cycle. If you read this review to the end, you just saved yourself an hour or two watching machines try to wash your clothes without your help. Maybe the rest of the laundromat is in better repair, and maybe management is simply stupid rather than cheap and dishonest, but certainly there are better places to get the laundry job done.

Where do I even start with this place. This place is always full of people using five machines each and they always leave a mess, which never seems to be cleaned up. The machines always break down and stay brown for weeks on end making it impossible to do your laundry since there’s a ton of people trying to use the machines. They’re the only game in town though so it could be a rat hole and people would still go there. They do give you your money back if your machine ends up breaking I on you… but only if the cleaners are open. Otherwise you’re screwed and probably wont ever get it back. Dont go in the weekends if you know what’s good for you. You will have to do single loads at a time and deal with screaming childeren.

When your washer is broken, you can always count on places like Super Coin Laundry! I came to Super Coin today because it is fairly close to my house and it’s in a plaza, which means free parking! The machines look pretty old, but they work better than most places. I did about 2 loads in the biggest washer that they have($ 4.00) and spent about($ 2.50) on the dryers. My only gripe would have to be that the slot for the fabric softener didn’t work. Other than that, I wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

I’ve been coming here for a number of years now and I think it says quite a bit when I’m wiling to drive down here from The City to do my laundry. The machines are kept in pretty good condition by the alterations guy and I think the prices are pretty reasonable. If I want to be lazy and do one giant wash load, its either $ 4 or $ 5 depending on how much laundry I have and the dryers are pretty big and get decently hot for drying. It really helps that there are a few good food options like the Japanese/Thai place, the Phở place or good ol Subway. Still close enough to walk up the hill to Carrol’s for a sammie, close to the doggie park and most important: FREEPARKING! Try finding all that in The City!

So when your dryer is out of order, this is the place to save you. Plenty of dryers, though at $ 0.25 for 6 minutes, I’ll have to work on getting my home dryer fixed. I only wish there was more room inside. Sitting on benches outside while other people smoke is not the bizness.

I’m not sure about the dry cleaning, but the alterations should be avoided if at all possible. The workmanship is so-so, but it took them over a week to hem a pair of shorts — I took some shorts in on Monday, and was told to come back the following Monday, which I did. I was then told they weren’t ready and needed to come back. They tend to move with glacial speed there, are not apologetic in the slightest when they are in the wrong and generally act like you are inconveniencing them when you take something in. They have a 0% rate of delivering on time — I’ve gone there a few times, was disappointed on each occasion, so I will not go there again.

Quiet location with plenty of parking and several food options while you wait. This laundromat is on the smaller side and looks a bit old. There are benches and tables for folding, but not many. Decent washers, but I wasn’t happy about the dryer price — 25 cents for 6 minutes? And the dryers are old, so you would need at least a dollar to fully dry your clothes. Too much if you ask me. We’ll probably stick to our favorite laundry spot in Westlake, unless we have a craving for Teriyaki House in Brisbane.
